It's for about a year or more of ab initio Mandarin, around HSK 2 to 3. ## Does the oral book work for Chinese B HL? It covers Chinese B at SL and Mandarin ab initio. The HL oral is based on a literary extract, which this book doesn't cover. For HL writing, the Paper 1 book has HL extensions on its SL model answers. ## What is in the Paper 1 writing book? Tasks on all five IB themes with plans, SL model answers and HL extensions, the conventions of every text type and a register drill, with audio of every SL model answer.
