SayMei costs nothing to start. AI dialogues, listening practice, the free tools and the HSK 1 lesson songs are free to use, flashcards, speaking practice, games and stories have a free daily allowance, and your first lesson with Mei Lin is free — with one more free curriculum lesson once you have made a free account. SayMei Premium is $5.99 per month for 200 minutes with Mei Lin plus unlimited practice, after a 7-day trial that includes 100 minutes and unlimited access to everything.
What the trial includes
The 7-day trial grants 100 minutes with Mei Lin and lifts every free-plan limit for the week. A card is required to start it, but nothing is charged on day one — the first $5.99 payment falls due after 7 days unless you cancel first. Cancelling is self-serve from Manage billing at any point before the next renewal.
Minutes, rollover and Boost
Premium adds 200 minutes each month. Unused plan minutes roll over for as long as your membership stays active and expire when it ends. Active members can also buy a Boost top-up of 100 extra minutes for $2.99, and purchased Boost minutes never expire, even after a subscription ends. SayMei quotes one global US dollar price and converts it to your local currency for display only.
SayMei Stories Unlimited: just the stories
SayMei Stories Unlimited is $2.99 per month for every story, 169 books in 1161 short chapters, and nothing else. New members start with a 7-day free week: a card is required, and nothing is charged the first week. Chapters 1 and 2 of every book are free without it, and SayMei Premium includes every story too.
