Aladdin meets the sultan at last, and before the wedding he makes a promise the grand vizier is sure no man can keep.

Master, what do you want?
- Aladdin 灯神，国王想见我！我不能穿这些旧衣服去。
Dēng Shén, guówáng xiǎng jiàn wǒ! Wǒ bù néng chuān zhèxiē jiù yīfu qù.
Genie of the lamp, the sultan wants to see me! I can't go in these old clothes.

Yes, master. Here are your new clothes. Your horse and your men are outside.
- Aladdin 天哪，这么漂亮！灯神，我好看吗？
Tiān na, zhème piàoliang! Dēng Shén, wǒ hǎokàn ma?
Heavens, they're so beautiful! Genie of the lamp, do I look good?
- the Genie of the Lamp 你的衣服很好看，主人。
Nǐ de yīfu hěn hǎokàn, zhǔrén.
Your clothes look very good, master.
- Narrator 阿拉丁去宫殿，城里的人都在看他。
Ālādīng qù gōngdiàn, chéng li de rén dōu zài kàn tā.
Aladdin went to the palace, and everyone in the city watched him.
- Aladdin 给他们金子！大家都有！
Gěi tāmen jīnzi! Dàjiā dōu yǒu!
Give them gold! Everyone gets some!
- the Sultan 你是阿拉丁？来，坐到我这边！
Nǐ shì Ālādīng? Lái, zuò dào wǒ zhèbiān!
You're Aladdin? Come, sit here beside me!
- Aladdin 谢谢您，国王。
Xièxie nín, guówáng.
Thank you, Your Majesty.

Jīntiān wǎnshang, nǐ hé wǒ de nǚ'ér jiéhūn!
Tonight you will marry my daughter!
- Aladdin 国王，明天好吗？我想给她一个新宫殿。
Guówáng, míngtiān hǎo ma? Wǒ xiǎng gěi tā yí gè xīn gōngdiàn.
Your Majesty, could it be tomorrow? I want to give her a new palace.
- the Sultan 一个新宫殿？在哪儿？
Yí gè xīn gōngdiàn? Zài nǎr?
A new palace? Where?
- Aladdin 在您的宫殿前边，可以吗？明天早上，您会看见。
Zài nín de gōngdiàn qiánbian, kěyǐ ma? Míngtiān zǎoshang, nín huì kànjiàn.
In front of your palace, if I may? Tomorrow morning, you will see it.
- the Grand Vizier 一个晚上，一个宫殿？不会的……
Yí gè wǎnshang, yí gè gōngdiàn? Bú huì de…
A palace in one night? It can't be...
- Narrator 那天晚上，城里的人都在睡觉。
Nà tiān wǎnshang, chéng li de rén dōu zài shuìjiào.
That night, everyone in the city was asleep.
- Aladdin 旧灯，我再擦一擦你。我们要有一个宫殿了！
Jiù dēng, wǒ zài cā yi cā nǐ. Wǒmen yào yǒu yí gè gōngdiàn le!
Old lamp, I'll rub you once more. We're going to have a palace!
- the Genie of the Lamp 主人，你要什么？
Zhǔrén, nǐ yào shénme?
Master, what do you want?
- Aladdin 我要一个宫殿，在国王的宫殿前边！
Wǒ yào yí gè gōngdiàn, zài guówáng de gōngdiàn qiánbian!
I want a palace, in front of the sultan's palace!
- Aladdin 上边要有一个大房间，有二十四个窗户。窗户上都要有宝石。
Shàngbian yào yǒu yí gè dà fángjiān, yǒu èrshísì gè chuānghu. Chuānghu shàng dōu yào yǒu bǎoshí.
At the top there must be a great hall with twenty-four windows. Every window must be set with jewels.
- Aladdin 有一个窗户，不要做好。我的门到国王的门，都要有地毯。
Yǒu yí gè chuānghu, búyào zuò hǎo. Wǒ de mén dào guówáng de mén, dōu yào yǒu dìtǎn.
Leave one window unfinished. And from my door to the sultan's door, carpet all the way.
- the Genie of the Lamp 是，主人。
Shì, zhǔrén.
Yes, master.
- Narrator 第二天早上，国王开了窗户。
Dì èr tiān zǎoshang, guówáng kāi le chuānghu.
The next morning, the sultan opened his window.
- the Sultan 大臣，你来看！那是什么？
Dàchén, nǐ lái kàn! Nà shì shénme?
Vizier, come and look! What is that?
- the Grand Vizier 国王……那是一个宫殿！昨天那里什么都没有！
Guówáng… nà shì yí gè gōngdiàn! Zuótiān nàlǐ shénme dōu méiyǒu!
Your Majesty... it's a palace! Yesterday there was nothing there!
- the Sultan 是阿拉丁的宫殿！你看，窗户上都是宝石！
Shì Ālādīng de gōngdiàn! Nǐ kàn, chuānghu shàng dōu shì bǎoshí!
It's Aladdin's palace! Look, the windows are covered in jewels!
- the Grand Vizier 一个晚上……阿拉丁是魔法师吗？
Yí gè wǎnshang… Ālādīng shì mófǎshī ma?
In one night... is Aladdin a magician?
- the Sultan 大臣，不要说了！
Dàchén, búyào shuō le!
Vizier, say no more!
- the Sultan 今天晚上，我的女儿去她的新宫殿。她看见阿拉丁，会说什么呢？
Jīntiān wǎnshang, wǒ de nǚ'ér qù tā de xīn gōngdiàn. Tā kànjiàn Ālādīng, huì shuō shénme ne?
