I'm behind the door. The princess is coming here to bathe today.
- Aladdin 要是有人看见我……不要怕，阿拉丁！我只看一下。
Yàoshi yǒu rén kànjiàn wǒ… búyào pà, Ālādīng! Wǒ zhǐ kàn yíxià.
If anyone sees me... Don't be scared, Aladdin! I'll only take one look.

Tiānqì zhēn rè. Wǒmen qù xǐzǎo ba!
It's so hot. Let's go and bathe!

She's gone inside... I still want to look at her!
- Narrator 那天晚上，阿拉丁不吃饭，也不睡觉。
Nà tiān wǎnshang, Ālādīng bù chīfàn, yě bú shuìjiào.
That night, Aladdin would not eat, and he would not sleep.
- Aladdin's mother 孩子，你不吃饭？你还是我的阿拉丁吗？
Háizi, nǐ bù chīfàn? Nǐ háishi wǒ de Ālādīng ma?
Child, you're not eating? Are you still my Aladdin?
- Aladdin 妈妈，我今天看见公主了。
Māma, wǒ jīntiān kànjiàn gōngzhǔ le.
Mom, I saw the princess today.
- Aladdin's mother 公主？你在哪儿看见她的？
Gōngzhǔ? Nǐ zài nǎr kànjiàn tā de?
The princess? Where did you see her?
- Aladdin 在门后边。谁都不能看她……我看了！
Zài mén hòubian. Shéi dōu bù néng kàn tā… wǒ kàn le!
From behind a door. No one may look at her... and I looked!
- Aladdin's mother 天哪！要是国王知道了……
Tiān na! Yàoshi guówáng zhīdào le…
Heavens! If the sultan finds out...
- Aladdin 妈妈，我爱她。我想和公主结婚。
Māma, wǒ ài tā. Wǒ xiǎng hé gōngzhǔ jiéhūn.
Mom, I love her. I want to marry the princess.
- Aladdin's mother 结婚？你和公主？孩子，你病了吧！
Jiéhūn? Nǐ hé gōngzhǔ? Háizi, nǐ bìng le ba!
Marry? You and the princess? Child, you must be sick!
- Aladdin 不要笑！我没有病。
Búyào xiào! Wǒ méiyǒu bìng.
Don't laugh! I'm not sick.
- Aladdin's mother 我们家是做衣服的！公主是国王的女儿！
Wǒmen jiā shì zuò yīfu de! Gōngzhǔ shì guówáng de nǚ'ér!
We're a family of tailors! The princess is the sultan's daughter!
- Aladdin 你看！这些“水果”不是水果，是宝石！
Nǐ kàn! Zhèxiē “shuǐguǒ” bú shì shuǐguǒ, shì bǎoshí!
Look! These "fruit" aren't fruit. They're jewels!
- Aladdin's mother 我天天擦的“水果”……是宝石？
Wǒ tiāntiān cā de “shuǐguǒ”… shì bǎoshí?
The "fruit" I dust every day... are jewels?
- Aladdin 对！国王也没有这么多宝石！
Duì! Guówáng yě méiyǒu zhème duō bǎoshí!
Yes! Even the sultan doesn't have this many jewels!
- Aladdin's mother 孩子，你想做什么？
Háizi, nǐ xiǎng zuò shénme?
Child, what are you up to?
- Aladdin 妈妈，你去宫殿见国王，给他一盘子宝石。
Māma, nǐ qù gōngdiàn jiàn guówáng, gěi tā yì pánzi bǎoshí.
Mom, go to the palace and see the sultan. Give him a dish of jewels.
- Aladdin's mother 我？一个做衣服的女人，去见国王？
Wǒ? Yí gè zuò yīfu de nǚrén, qù jiàn guówáng?
Me? A woman who sews, going to see the sultan?
- Aladdin 是你，妈妈。你对他说：阿拉丁想和公主结婚。
Shì nǐ, māma. Nǐ duì tā shuō: Ālādīng xiǎng hé gōngzhǔ jiéhūn.
Yes, you, Mom. Tell him: Aladdin wants to marry the princess.
- Aladdin's mother 孩子，我好怕……
Háizi, wǒ hǎo pà…
Child, I'm so scared...
- Aladdin 不要怕。国王喜欢宝石，他会听你说话的！
Búyào pà. Guówáng xǐhuan bǎoshí, tā huì tīng nǐ shuōhuà de!
Don't be scared. The sultan loves jewels. He'll listen to you!
- Narrator 第二天早上，妈妈一个人去宫殿。

The next morning, his mother set off for the palace alone.
- Aladdin's mother 盘子里都是宝石……国王会见我吗？要是他不高兴……
