The Bed in the Night
晚上的床
Tonight the princess marries the vizier's son, and the whole city is bright with lamps. Aladdin's mother has gone to sleep, but Aladdin is wide awake.

Nà tiān wǎnshang, chéng li dōu shì dēng. Ālādīng de māma shuì le, tā méiyǒu shuì.
That night the city was full of lamps. Aladdin's mother was asleep, but he was not.
- Aladdin 国王说了，三个月后，公主和我结婚。
Guówáng shuō le, sān gè yuè hòu, gōngzhǔ hé wǒ jiéhūn.
The sultan said it: in three months, the princess would marry me.
- Aladdin 今天晚上，她和大臣的儿子结婚了！
Jīntiān wǎnshang, tā hé dàchén de érzi jiéhūn le!
And tonight she has married the vizier's son!

Jīntiān wǎnshang, wǒ yào tāmen de chuáng fēi dào zhèr lái!
Tonight I want their bed to fly here to me!

Yes, master.
- the Princess 天哪！床在飞！我们在天上！
Tiān na! Chuáng zài fēi! Wǒmen zài tiān shàng!
Heavens! The bed is flying! We're up in the sky!
- the Vizier's Son 不要飞了！我好怕！我要下去！
Búyào fēi le! Wǒ hǎo pà! Wǒ yào xiàqù!
Stop flying! I'm so scared! I want to get down!
- the Genie of the Lamp 主人，床在这儿了。
Zhǔrén, chuáng zài zhèr le.
Master, the bed is here.
- Aladdin 床上还有一个人？我要的是床，不是他！
Chuáng shàng hái yǒu yí gè rén? Wǒ yào de shì chuáng, bú shì tā!
There's someone else in the bed? I asked for the bed, not him!

Tā zài chuáng shàng, zhǔrén.
He was in the bed, master.
- Aladdin 好。你和他去一个很黑、很冷的房间。明天早上再回来。
Hǎo. Nǐ hé tā qù yí gè hěn hēi, hěn lěng de fángjiān. Míngtiān zǎoshang zài huílái.
Fine. Take him to a very dark, very cold room. Come back in the morning.
- the Vizier's Son 不要！我是大臣的儿子！我要我爸爸！
Búyào! Wǒ shì dàchén de érzi! Wǒ yào wǒ bàba!
No! I'm the vizier's son! I want my father!
- the Princess 你是谁？这是哪儿？我要回宫殿！
Nǐ shì shéi? Zhè shì nǎr? Wǒ yào huí gōngdiàn!
Who are you? Where am I? I want to go back to the palace!
- Aladdin 公主，您不要怕。这是我的家。
Gōngzhǔ, nín búyào pà. Zhè shì wǒ de jiā.
Princess, don't be afraid. This is my home.
- the Princess 大臣的儿子呢？你对他做了什么？
Dàchén de érzi ne? Nǐ duì tā zuò le shénme?
Where is the vizier's son? What have you done to him?
- Aladdin 他没事。明天早上，他会回来。
Tā méishì. Míngtiān zǎoshang, tā huì huílái.
He's all right. He'll be back in the morning.
- Aladdin 公主，您的爸爸说了，您要和我结婚。
Gōngzhǔ, nín de bàba shuō le, nín yào hé wǒ jiéhūn.
Princess, your father gave his word: you are to marry me.
- the Princess 我爸爸？他没有对我说！
Wǒ bàba? Tā méiyǒu duì wǒ shuō!
My father? He never told me!
- Aladdin 我不会做不好的事。今天晚上，您好好睡吧。
Wǒ bú huì zuò bù hǎo de shì. Jīntiān wǎnshang, nín hǎohǎo shuì ba.
I won't do anything wrong. Tonight, just sleep well.
- Aladdin 我睡在床的这边。您睡在那边。
Wǒ shuì zài chuáng de zhèbiān. Nín shuì zài nàbiān.
I'll sleep on this side of the bed. You sleep on that side.
- the Princess 这个人是谁？我爸爸真的说了吗？
Zhège rén shì shéi? Wǒ bàba zhēn de shuō le ma?
Who is this man? Did my father really say that?
- Narrator 早上，灯神和大臣的儿子回来了。
Zǎoshang, Dēng Shén hé dàchén de érzi huílái le.
In the morning, the genie of the lamp came back with the vizier's son.
- the Vizier's Son 好冷！我在那儿冷了一个晚上！
Hǎo lěng! Wǒ zài nàr lěng le yí gè wǎnshang!
So cold! I've been freezing in there all night!
- Aladdin 好，现在床可以回宫殿了。公主，再见。
Hǎo, xiànzài chuáng kěyǐ huí gōngdiàn le. Gōngzhǔ, zàijiàn.
All right, the bed can go back to the palace now. Goodbye, Princess.
- the Sultan 女儿，早上好！爸爸来看你了！
Nǚ'ér, zǎoshang hǎo! Bàba lái kàn nǐ le!
Good morning, daughter! Your father has come to see you!
- the Sultan 你的脸怎么这么白？你怎么不说话？
