A princess nobody knows steps out of a gold coach, and the whole palace stops dancing to look. Will her own sisters know her?

That night, lots of people were dancing in the great palace.
- The Prince 什么？来了一个公主？没有人认识她？我去看看！
Shénme? Lái le yí gè gōngzhǔ? Méiyǒu rén rènshi tā? Wǒ qù kànkan!
What? A princess has come? And nobody knows her? I'll go and see!
- Narrator 王子很快跑到了外边，金马车也到了。
Wángzǐ hěn kuài pǎo dào le wàibian, jīn mǎchē yě dào le.
The prince ran outside, and the gold coach arrived.

Are you the prince?
- The Prince 对。来，手给我。
Duì. Lái, shǒu gěi wǒ.
I am. Here, give me your hand.
- Cinderella 谢谢您，王子。
Xièxie nín, wángzǐ.
Thank you, Prince.
- The Prince 你能来，我很高兴！我们到里边去吧。
Nǐ néng lái, wǒ hěn gāoxìng! Wǒmen dào lǐbian qù ba.
I'm so glad you could come! Let's go inside.
- Narrator 音乐没有了，大家都不跳舞了，都在看她。
Yīnyuè méiyǒu le, dàjiā dōu bú tiàowǔ le, dōu zài kàn tā.
The music stopped, the dancing stopped, and everyone looked at her.
- Cinderella 他们怎么都看我？我的衣服有问题吗？
Tāmen zěnme dōu kàn wǒ? Wǒ de yīfu yǒu wèntí ma?
Why is everyone looking at me? Is something wrong with my dress?
- The Prince 你的衣服没问题！你听，他们都在说：她真漂亮！
Nǐ de yīfu méi wèntí! Nǐ tīng, tāmen dōu zài shuō: tā zhēn piàoliang!
Nothing's wrong with your dress! Listen, they're all saying: how beautiful she is!
- Cinderella 真的吗？他们说的是我？
Zhēn de ma? Tāmen shuō de shì wǒ?
Really? They mean me?
- The Prince 你看，国王和王后也在看你！
Nǐ kàn, guówáng hé wánghòu yě zài kàn nǐ!
Look, the king and queen are watching you too!
- The King 王后，你看她。我很多年没有看见这么漂亮的人了。
Wánghòu, nǐ kàn tā. Wǒ hěn duō nián méiyǒu kànjiàn zhème piàoliang de rén le.
Look at her, my Queen. I haven't seen anyone so lovely in many years.
- The King 你也很漂亮，王后！
Nǐ yě hěn piàoliang, wánghòu!
You're lovely too, my Queen!
- Narrator 女士们都在看她的衣服和头发。她们明天也想这么穿。
Nǚshìmen dōu zài kàn tā de yīfu hé tóufa. Tāmen míngtiān yě xiǎng zhème chuān.
The ladies all studied her dress and her hair. They wanted to dress just like her tomorrow.
- The Prince 公主，这边请。请上坐！
Gōngzhǔ, zhèbiān qǐng. Qǐng shàng zuò!
This way, Princess. Please take the seat of honor!
- Cinderella 我？坐这里？
Wǒ? Zuò zhèlǐ?
Me? Sit here?
- The Prince 是的。我能请你跳舞吗？
Shì de. Wǒ néng qǐng nǐ tiàowǔ ma?
Yes. May I ask you to dance?
- Cinderella 穿玻璃鞋跳舞？我能吗？
Chuān bōli xié tiàowǔ? Wǒ néng ma?
Dance in glass slippers? Can I?
- Cinderella 好，我试试。
Hǎo, wǒ shìshi.
All right. I'll try.
- The Prince 你跳舞真好看！大家都很喜欢你。
Nǐ tiàowǔ zhēn hǎokàn! Dàjiā dōu hěn xǐhuan nǐ.
You dance beautifully! Everyone loves you.
- Cinderella 我的脚没事……这玻璃鞋太好了！
Wǒ de jiǎo méi shì… zhè bōli xié tài hǎo le!
My feet are fine... These glass slippers are wonderful!
- The Prince 你在笑什么？
Nǐ zài xiào shénme?
What are you smiling about?
- Cinderella 没什么。今天，我很高兴。
Méi shénme. Jīntiān, wǒ hěn gāoxìng.
Nothing. I'm very happy today.
- The Prince 晚饭来了，公主！你看，这么多好吃的东西。你吃吧！
Wǎnfàn lái le, gōngzhǔ! Nǐ kàn, zhème duō hǎochī de dōngxi. Nǐ chī ba!
Supper is here, Princess! Look at all these good things. Please, eat!
- Cinderella 王子，您怎么不吃呢？
Wángzǐ, nín zěnme bù chī ne?
Prince, why aren't you eating?
- The Prince 我不想吃。你吃吧，我看你吃。
Wǒ bù xiǎng chī. Nǐ chī ba, wǒ kàn nǐ chī.
I don't want to eat. You eat, and I'll watch you.
- Cinderella 他一口也不吃……怎么只看我呢？
Tā yì kǒu yě bù chī… zěnme zhǐ kàn wǒ ne?
He won't eat a single bite... Why does he only look at me?
