In the palace, it was a quarter to twelve. The prince was still talking with Cinderella.
- Cinderella 仙女说了，十二点前要回家！
Xiānnǚ shuō le, shí'èr diǎn qián yào huí jiā!
Godmother said I must be home before twelve!
- Cinderella 对不起，王子，我要回家了。大家，再见！
Duìbuqǐ, wángzǐ, wǒ yào huí jiā le. Dàjiā, zàijiàn!
I'm sorry, Prince, I must go home. Goodbye, everyone!

Good girl! How was the ball?
- Cinderella 太好了！谢谢您，仙女！王子还请我明天再去！
Tài hǎo le! Xièxie nín, xiānnǚ! Wángzǐ hái qǐng wǒ míngtiān zài qù!
It was wonderful! Thank you, Godmother! And the prince asked me to come again tomorrow!
- The Fairy Godmother 王子请你？那你想去吗？
Wángzǐ qǐng nǐ? Nà nǐ xiǎng qù ma?
The prince asked you? And do you want to go?
- Cinderella 想！仙女，明天，我也能去吗？
Xiǎng! Xiānnǚ, míngtiān, wǒ yě néng qù ma?
I do! Godmother, tomorrow, can I go too?
- The Fairy Godmother 能。你要记住什么？
Néng. Nǐ yào jìzhù shénme?
You can. And what must you remember?
- Cinderella 十二点前回家！
Shí'èr diǎn qián huí jiā!
Home before twelve!
- Narrator 很晚了，家里很黑。灰姑娘还在和仙女说舞会上的事。
Hěn wǎn le, jiā li hěn hēi. Huī gūniang hái zài hé xiānnǚ shuō wǔhuì shang de shì.
It was late, and the house was dark. Cinderella was still telling her godmother about the ball.
- Big Sister 灰丫头！开门！我们回来了！
Huī yātou! Kāi mén! Wǒmen huílai le!
Cinderwench! Open the door! We're back!
- Cinderella 是大姐姐吗？我在睡觉呢……
Shì Dà jiějie ma? Wǒ zài shuìjiào ne…
Is that you, Big Sister? I was asleep...
- Cinderella 你们怎么玩到这么晚？
Nǐmen zěnme wán dào zhème wǎn?
What kept you out so late?
- Second Sister 灰姑娘，你不知道！今天晚上太好玩了！
Huī gūniang, nǐ bù zhīdào! Jīntiān wǎnshang tài hǎowán le!
Cinderella, you have no idea! Tonight was so much fun!
- Big Sister 舞会上来了一个公主，真漂亮！
Wǔhuì shang lái le yí gè gōngzhǔ, zhēn piàoliang!
A princess came to the ball. She was so beautiful!
- Second Sister 她还和我们说话了！她对我们非常好！
Tā hái hé wǒmen shuōhuà le! Tā duì wǒmen fēicháng hǎo!
She even talked with us! She was so kind to us!
- Big Sister 她给了我们水果，王子的水果！
Tā gěi le wǒmen shuǐguǒ, wángzǐ de shuǐguǒ!
She gave us fruit. The prince's fruit!
- Cinderella 是吗？她是谁？
Shì ma? Tā shì shéi?
Really? Who is she?
- Second Sister 没有人知道她的名字！王子也不知道。
Méiyǒu rén zhīdào tā de míngzi! Wángzǐ yě bù zhīdào.
Nobody knows her name! Not even the prince.
- Big Sister 王子很想知道。他什么都可以给！
Wángzǐ hěn xiǎng zhīdào. Tā shénme dōu kěyǐ gěi!
The prince wants so badly to know. He'd give anything!
- Cinderella 大姐姐，你的黄衣服借我，好吗？我也想去看看她。
Dà jiějie, nǐ de huáng yīfu jiè wǒ, hǎo ma? Wǒ yě xiǎng qù kànkan tā.
Big Sister, will you lend me your yellow dress? I'd like to go and see her too.
- Big Sister 我的黄衣服？借给灰丫头？我才不！
Wǒ de huáng yīfu? Jiè gěi Huī yātou? Wǒ cái bù!
My yellow dress? Lend it to a Cinderwench? Not me!
- Second Sister 你穿黄衣服，也还是灰姑娘！
Nǐ chuān huáng yīfu, yě háishi Huī gūniang!
Even in a yellow dress, you'd still be Cinderella!
- Cinderella 她不借，太好了！要是她说“好”呢？
Tā bú jiè, tài hǎo le! Yàoshi tā shuō “hǎo” ne?
She won't lend it. Thank goodness! What if she had said yes?
- Big Sister 妹妹，明天还有舞会！我们再去！
Mèimei, míngtiān hái yǒu wǔhuì! Wǒmen zài qù!
Sister, there's another ball tomorrow! We'll go again!
- Second Sister 我要和王子跳舞！
Wǒ yào hé wángzǐ tiàowǔ!
I'm going to dance with the prince!
- Cinderella 明天，我也去。
Míngtiān, wǒ yě qù.
Tomorrow, I'm going too.
