Who Is She?

The prince gives the unknown princess his own oranges, and she shares them with two ladies who must not know her: her own sisters.

In the palace, everyone was eating supper. The prince ate nothing; he only looked at Cinderella.
- The Prince 公主，这些橙子和柠檬，都给你。
Gōngzhǔ, zhèxiē chéngzi hé níngméng, dōu gěi nǐ.
Princess, these oranges and lemons are all for you.
- Cinderella 这么多橙子！都给我吗？谢谢您，王子！
Zhème duō chéngzi! Dōu gěi wǒ ma? Xièxie nín, wángzǐ!
So many oranges! All for me? Thank you, Prince!

Good evening! May I sit here?
- Big Sister 要坐我们这儿？好！请坐！
Yào zuò wǒmen zhèr? Hǎo! Qǐng zuò!
Sit with us? Yes! Please, sit down!
- Cinderella 王子给了我橙子和柠檬。你们也吃吧！
Wángzǐ gěi le wǒ chéngzi hé níngméng. Nǐmen yě chī ba!
The prince gave me oranges and lemons. Please, have some too!
- Second Sister 王子的橙子？天哪！谢谢您！
Wángzǐ de chéngzi? Tiān na! Xièxie nín!
The prince's oranges? Oh my! Thank you!
- Big Sister 妹妹，她是谁？我不认识她。
Mèimei, tā shì shéi? Wǒ bú rènshi tā.
Sister, who is she? I don't know her.
- Second Sister 我也不认识。她是哪国的公主呢？
Wǒ yě bú rènshi. Tā shì nǎ guó de gōngzhǔ ne?
Me neither. What country is she a princess of?
- Cinderella 她们真的不知道是我！
Tāmen zhēn de bù zhīdào shì wǒ!
They really don't know it's me!
- Big Sister 这个大的是我的！
Zhège dà de shì wǒ de!
This big one is mine!
- Second Sister 姐姐！公主在看你呢！
Jiějie! Gōngzhǔ zài kàn nǐ ne!
Sister! The princess is watching you!
- Big Sister 公主，这个大的……是您的！
Gōngzhǔ, zhège dà de… shì nín de!
Princess, this big one... is yours!
- Cinderella 你吃吧。这儿还有很多，大家都有。
Nǐ chī ba. Zhèr hái yǒu hěn duō, dàjiā dōu yǒu.

- Second Sister 您怎么对我们这么好？
Nín zěnme duì wǒmen zhème hǎo?
Why are you so kind to us?
- Cinderella 你们是我的……朋友。
Nǐmen shì wǒ de… péngyou.
You're my... friends.
- Big Sister 妹妹，你听见了吗？我们是公主的朋友！
Mèimei, nǐ tīngjiàn le ma? Wǒmen shì gōngzhǔ de péngyou!
Sister, did you hear that? We're the princess's friends!
- Second Sister 公主，您看我们的头发！是我们家的灰姑娘做的。
Gōngzhǔ, nín kàn wǒmen de tóufa! Shì wǒmen jiā de Huī gūniang zuò de.
Princess, look at our hair! Our Cinderella did it.
- Big Sister 不要说灰丫头了！公主不想听。
Bú yào shuō Huī yātou le! Gōngzhǔ bù xiǎng tīng.
Stop talking about Cinderwench! The princess doesn't want to hear it.
- Cinderella 灰姑娘……在这儿呢。
Huī gūniang… zài zhèr ne.
Cinderella... is right here.
- Second Sister 今天晚上，王子只和您跳舞。
Jīntiān wǎnshang, wángzǐ zhǐ hé nín tiàowǔ.
Tonight the prince has danced only with you.
- Big Sister 公主，王宫里有那么多女孩子，他只看您一个人！
Gōngzhǔ, wánggōng li yǒu nàme duō nǚháizi, tā zhǐ kàn nín yí gè rén!
Princess, all those girls in the palace, and he looks only at you!
- Second Sister 姐姐，你看！王子来了！
Jiějie, nǐ kàn! Wángzǐ lái le!
Sister, look! The prince is coming!
- Big Sister 他是来看我的！我知道！
Tā shì lái kàn wǒ de! Wǒ zhīdào!
He's coming to see me! I know it!
- The Prince 公主，橙子好吃吗？
