Locked in the cage, Hansel is sure today is the day the witch eats him. He has no idea what his little sister has just done at the oven.

That morning, Hansel was still in the cage. He knew nothing at all of what had happened at the oven.
- Hansel 今天，巫婆要吃我了。格莱特呢？她一个人在那儿……

Today the witch is going to eat me. And Gretel? She's all alone over there...
- Gretel 哥哥！我在这儿！
Gēge! Wǒ zài zhèr!

- Gretel 真的！她在烤炉里。是我推的！

Really! She's in the oven. I pushed her in!
- Hansel 是你？我的小妹妹？

You did? My little sister?
- Gretel 是我！这一回，是我想到的！

It was me! This time, I'm the one who thought of it!
- Hansel 那……我可以去外边了吗？
Nà… wǒ kěyǐ qù wàibian le ma?
So... can I go outside now?
- Gretel 门开了！出来吧，哥哥！
Mén kāi le! Chūlai ba, gēge!
The door's open! Come out, Brother!
- Hansel 我出来了！外边的天，好大！
Wǒ chūlai le! Wàibian de tiān, hǎo dà!
I'm out! The sky out here is so big!
- Gretel 哥哥，你像一只小鸟！
Gēge, nǐ xiàng yì zhī xiǎo niǎo!
Brother, you're like a little bird!
- Hansel 对！我不胖，巫婆没吃到我！
Duì! Wǒ bú pàng, wūpó méi chī dào wǒ!
Yes! I'm not fat, and the witch never got to eat me!
- Narrator 两个孩子抱了好一会儿。
Liǎng gè háizi bào le hǎo yíhuìr.
The two children held each other for a long while.
- Hansel 格莱特，她没有对你做什么吧？
Géláitè, tā méiyǒu duì nǐ zuò shénme ba?

No, I'm fine.
- Hansel 再见，笼子！这块骨头，我也不要了！

Goodbye, cage! I don't need this bone anymore either!
- Gretel 哥哥，你还会跳！
Gēge, nǐ hái huì tiào!
Brother, you can still hop about!
- Hansel 我现在是小鸟了！
Wǒ xiànzài shì xiǎo niǎo le!
I am a little bird now!
- Gretel 走，哥哥！我们去巫婆的房子里看看！
Zǒu, gēge! Wǒmen qù wūpó de fángzi li kànkan!
Come on, Brother! Let's go and look inside the witch's house!
- Hansel 好！巫婆不在了，我们还怕什么？
Hǎo! Wūpó bú zài le, wǒmen hái pà shénme?
All right! The witch is gone, so what is there to be afraid of?
- Narrator 他们来到了巫婆的房子里。

Gretel, look! What's that?
- Gretel 都是巫婆的大箱子。

They're all the witch's big chests.
- Hansel 这么多！里边会有什么呢？
