That night the palace was silent. Beauty was still looking at her ring.
- Beauty 这个戒指是野兽给我的。明天早上，我会在爸爸家里。
Zhège jièzhi shì Yěshòu gěi wǒ de. Míngtiān zǎoshang, wǒ huì zài bàba jiā li.
The Beast gave me this ring. Tomorrow morning, I'll be at Father's house.
- Beauty 一个星期后，我要回来。我不回来，他会死……
Yí gè xīngqī hòu, wǒ yào huílái. Wǒ bù huílái, tā huì sǐ…
In one week, I must come back. If I don't, he will die...

- The Young Man 美儿，你要回家？你要让我死吗？
Měi'ér, nǐ yào huí jiā? Nǐ yào ràng wǒ sǐ ma?
Beauty, you're going home? Are you going to let me die?
- Beauty 不是的！我只回去看看爸爸，对他说我很好。
Bú shì de! Wǒ zhǐ huíqù kànkan bàba, duì tā shuō wǒ hěn hǎo.
No! I'm only going to see Father and tell him I'm well.
- The Young Man 那野兽呢？他死了，你会难过吗？
Nà Yěshòu ne? Tā sǐ le, nǐ huì nánguò ma?
And the Beast? If he died, would you grieve?

Yes! He's so good to me. I'd die before I let him suffer!

The maid of the house came in. When she saw Beauty, she was frightened.
- Father 怎么了？谁在大叫？

What's wrong? Who's screaming?
- Beauty 爸爸！是我，美儿！
Bàba! Shì wǒ, Měi'ér!
Father! It's me, Beauty!
- Father 美儿？天哪，是我的美儿！爸爸高兴死了！
Měi'ér? Tiān na, shì wǒ de Měi'ér! Bàba gāoxìng sǐ le!
Beauty? Heavens, it's my Beauty! I could die of joy!
- Narrator 爸爸抱了美儿，两个人都哭了。
Bàba bào le Měi'ér, liǎng gè rén dōu kū le.
Father held Beauty, and they both cried.
- Father 我不是在梦里吧？让爸爸好好看看你！
Wǒ bú shì zài mèng li ba? Ràng bàba hǎohǎo kànkan nǐ!

- Beauty 爸爸，不要哭了。你看，野兽没有吃我！
