Nezha finds his little temple in pieces and storms to his father's hall, where a hard truth comes out and a spear rises.

Nezha and his mother climbed Cuiping Mountain. The little temple on top was in ruins.
- Nezha 门倒了，屋顶也没有了。这里什么都没有了……
Mén dào le, wūdǐng yě méiyǒu le. Zhèlǐ shénme dōu méiyǒu le…
The door has fallen and the roof is gone. There is nothing left here...
- Lady Yin 以前，大家每天都来这里，给你送花，给你唱歌。
Yǐqián, dàjiā měitiān dōu lái zhèlǐ, gěi nǐ sònghuā, gěi nǐ chànggē.

- Lady Yin 别难过，孩子。妈妈在这儿，妈妈会帮你。
Bié nánguò, háizi. Māma zài zhèr, māma huì bāng nǐ.
Don't be sad, child. Mom is here, and Mom will help you.
- Nezha 这是我的家！有人爱我，我才有一个家！
Zhè shì wǒ de jiā! Yǒu rén ài wǒ, wǒ cái yǒu yí gè jiā!
This was my home! Only when people loved me did I have one!
- Lady Yin 你爸爸也不好受。他不是一个坏人。
Nǐ bàba yě bù hǎo shòu. Tā bú shì yí gè huàirén.
Your father is hurting too. He isn't a bad man.
- Nezha 我不想听！我要自己去问他！
Wǒ bù xiǎng tīng! Wǒ yào zìjǐ qù wèn tā!
I don't want to hear it! I'll go and ask him myself!
- Nezha 我为了陈塘关的人，做了那么多，他还要打坏我的庙……
Wǒ wèi le Chéntáng Guān de rén, zuò le nàme duō, tā háiyào dǎhuài wǒ de miào…
I did so much for the people of Chentang Pass, and he still smashed my temple...
- Nezha 妈妈，你在这儿等我。我很快回来。
Māma, nǐ zài zhèr děng wǒ. Wǒ hěn kuài huílái.
Mom, wait for me here. I'll be back soon.
- Lady Yin 哪吒，你要去哪儿？你别乱来！
Nézhā, nǐ yào qù nǎr? Nǐ bié luànlái!
Nezha, where are you going? Don't do anything rash!
- Nezha 我去找爸爸！我要他给我一个说法！
Wǒ qù zhǎo bàba! Wǒ yào tā gěi wǒ yí gè shuōfǎ!
I'm going to find Dad! He owes me an explanation!
- Nezha 爸爸！你为什么要打坏我的庙？！
Bàba! Nǐ wèishénme yào dǎhuài wǒ de miào?!
Dad! Why did you smash my temple?!
- Li Jing 哎呀！你把我的门弄坏了！
Āiyā! Nǐ bǎ wǒ de mén nònghuài le!
Hey! You broke my door!
- Nezha 你打坏我的庙，我打坏你的门，一样！
Nǐ dǎhuài wǒ de miào, wǒ dǎhuài nǐ de mén, yíyàng!
You broke my temple, I broke your door. We're even!
- Li Jing 你听我说！我怕龙王有一天会再来！
Nǐ tīng wǒ shuō! Wǒ pà Lóngwáng yǒu yì tiān huì zài lái!
Listen to me! I was afraid the Dragon King would come back one day!
- Li Jing 你不在以后，每天都有人去拜你，我一想到你，心里就很难过。
Nǐ bú zài yǐhòu, měitiān dōu yǒu rén qù bài nǐ, wǒ yì xiǎngdào nǐ, xīnlǐ jiù hěn nánguò.
After you were gone, people went to honor you every day, and every time I thought of you, my heart ached.
- Nezha 难过？你难过，为什么不告诉我和妈妈？
Nánguò? Nǐ nánguò, wèishénme bù gàosù wǒ hé māma?
Sad? If you were sad, why didn't you tell Mom and me?
- Li Jing 我是一个将军。将军是不会哭的。
Wǒ shì yí gè jiāngjūn. Jiāngjūn shì bú huì kū de.
I'm a general. Generals don't cry.
- Nezha 可是你也是我爸爸！我只想要一个爸爸！
Kěshì nǐ yě shì wǒ bàba! Wǒ zhǐ xiǎngyào yí gè bàba!
But you're also my dad! All I wanted was a dad!
- Li Jing 我不知道该怎么做。你已经不是以前的孩子了。
Wǒ bù zhīdao gāi zěnme zuò. Nǐ yǐjīng bú shì yǐqián de háizi le.
I don't know what to do. You aren't the same child anymore.
- Nezha 我的身体是莲花做的，可是我的心没有变！
Wǒ de shēntǐ shì liánhuā zuò de, kěshì wǒ de xīn méiyǒu biàn!
My body is made of lotus, but my heart hasn't changed!
- Li Jing 你有火，有风，还有那把火尖枪。我说实话，我怕你。
Nǐ yǒu huǒ, yǒu fēng, háiyǒu nà bǎ huǒjiān qiāng. Wǒ shuō shíhuà, wǒ pà nǐ.
You have fire, wind, and that Fire-Tipped Spear. Truthfully, I'm afraid of you.
- Nezha 你怕我？你不是说我是神仙，不是妖怪吗？
Nǐ pà wǒ? Nǐ bú shì shuō wǒ shì shénxiān, bú shì yāoguài ma?
You're afraid of me? You said I was a god, not a demon, didn't you?
- Nezha 我不要一个怕我的爸爸！我不要！
Wǒ bú yào yí gè pà wǒ de bàba! Wǒ bú yào!
I don't want a father who's afraid of me! I don't!
- Li Jing 哪吒，你把火尖枪放下！你听我说完！
Nézhā, nǐ bǎ huǒjiān qiāng fàngxià! Nǐ tīng wǒ shuōwán!
Nezha, put down the Fire-Tipped Spear! Let me finish!
- Nezha 不放！你今天不说对不起，我就追你到天边去！
Bù fàng! Nǐ jīntiān bù shuō duìbuqǐ, wǒ jiù zhuī nǐ dào tiānbiān qù!
No! If you don't say sorry today, I'll chase you to the ends of the earth!
