A hundred thousand soldiers surround Flower Fruit Mountain, and Wukong has a hairy trick ready. Up in heaven, Guanyin knows someone who might be his match.

Dàshèng! Dàshèng! Huāguǒ Shān wàibian dōu shì tiānbīng, tiānshàng hái yǒu shíbā gè dà wǎng!
Great Sage! Great Sage! Heaven's soldiers are all around Flower Fruit Mountain, and there are eighteen big nets in the sky!
- Little Monkey 他们说，你偷了蟠桃，还吃了老君的金丹！
Tāmen shuō, nǐ tōu le Pántáo, hái chī le Lǎojūn de jīndān!
They say you stole the Peaches of Immortality and ate Laozi's golden pills!
- Sun Wukong 怕什么？今天有酒，今天就喝！
Pà shénme? Jīntiān yǒu jiǔ, jīntiān jiù hē!
What's there to be scared of? We've got wine today, so today we drink!

Jiǔ gè xīngguān dǎ dào dòngkǒu, dàjiào: “Tōu Pántáo, tōu jiǔ, tōu jīndān de hóuzi, kuài chūlai!”
Nine star gods fought their way to the mouth of the cave and shouted, “Monkey who stole the peaches, the wine and the golden pills, come out!”
- Sun Wukong 对，对，都是老孙做的。那你们想怎么样？
Duì, duì, dōu shì Lǎo Sūn zuò de. Nà nǐmen xiǎng zěnmeyàng?
Yes, yes, Old Sun did all of it. So what are you going to do about it?
- Little Monkey 从早上打到晚上，太阳都下山了！
Cóng zǎoshang dǎ dào wǎnshang, tàiyáng dōu xià shān le!
They've fought from morning till night! The sun has gone down!
- Sun Wukong 好，看老孙的！
Hǎo, kàn Lǎo Sūn de!
All right, watch Old Sun!
- Narrator 悟空拔了一些毛，吹了吹：“变！”一千个悟空拿着金箍棒，打了出去。
Wùkōng bá le yìxiē máo, chuī le chuī: “Biàn!” Yìqiān gè Wùkōng ná zhe jīn gū bàng, dǎ le chūqu.
Wukong plucked a few hairs and blew on them: “Change!” A thousand Wukongs charged out, each with a staff.
- Little Monkey 天哪！一千个大圣！天兵都跑了！
Tiān na! Yìqiān gè Dàshèng! Tiānbīng dōu pǎo le!
Wow! A thousand Great Sages! The soldiers are all running away!
- Narrator 可是，七十二个洞的妖怪朋友，都被天兵抓走了。
Kěshì, qīshí'èr gè dòng de yāoguài péngyou, dōu bèi tiānbīng zhuā zǒu le.
But his demon friends from the seventy-two caves were all carried off by the soldiers.
- Sun Wukong 孩儿们，你们怎么哭了三次，又笑了三次？
Hái'érmen, nǐmen zěnme kū le sān cì, yòu xiào le sān cì?
Children, why did you cry three times, and then laugh three times?
- Little Monkey 我们哭，是因为朋友们被抓走了。我们笑，是因为大圣一点儿事也没有！
Wǒmen kū, shì yīnwèi péngyoumen bèi zhuā zǒu le. Wǒmen xiào, shì yīnwèi Dàshèng yìdiǎnr shì yě méiyǒu!
We cried because our friends were carried off. We laughed because you're not hurt at all, Great Sage!
- Sun Wukong 别哭了。打来打去，有输有赢。我们的猴子，一个都没事！
Bié kū le. Dǎ lái dǎ qù, yǒu shū yǒu yíng. Wǒmen de hóuzi, yí gè dōu méishì!
Don't cry. When you fight, sometimes you lose and sometimes you win. And not one of our monkeys is hurt!
- Sun Wukong 吃饱了，睡一觉。明天再打！
Chī bǎo le, shuì yí jiào. Míngtiān zài dǎ!
Eat your fill and get some sleep. Tomorrow we fight again!
- Little Monkey 大圣……天上的桃子，我不要了。你回来就好！
Dàshèng… tiānshàng de táozi, wǒ bú yào le. Nǐ huílai jiù hǎo!
Great Sage… I don't want a peach from heaven anymore. Having you back is enough!
- Narrator 天上，观音菩萨来看蟠桃会，可是那里什么都没有了。
Tiānshàng, Guānyīn Púsà lái kàn Pántáo Huì, kěshì nàli shénme dōu méiyǒu le.
Up in heaven, Guanyin came to see the Peach Banquet, but there was nothing left of it.
- Guanyin 陛下，蟠桃会怎么了？
Bìxià, Pántáo Huì zěnme le?
Your Majesty, what has happened to the Peach Banquet?
- the Jade Emperor 又是那只猴子！他偷了蟠桃，吃了金丹，大闹天宫！
Yòu shì nà zhī hóuzi! Tā tōu le Pántáo, chī le jīndān, dà nào Tiāngōng!
That monkey again! He stole the peaches, ate the golden pills and turned heaven upside down!
- Guanyin 他为什么要这样做？
Tā wèi shénme yào zhèyàng zuò?
Why would he do such a thing?
- the Jade Emperor 我让他做了齐天大圣，可是没给钱，也没给事做。蟠桃会，就没请他。
Wǒ ràng tā zuò le Qítiān Dàshèng, kěshì méi gěi qián, yě méi gěi shì zuò. Pántáo Huì, jiù méi qǐng tā.
I made him Great Sage Equal to Heaven, but with no pay and no work. So he wasn't invited to the Peach Banquet.
- the Jade Emperor 现在，十万天兵也打不过他。真麻烦！
Xiànzài, shíwàn tiānbīng yě dǎ bu guò tā. Zhēn máfan!
And now a hundred thousand soldiers can't beat him. What a nuisance!
- Guanyin 陛下别急。有一个人，能抓他。
Bìxià bié jí. Yǒu yí gè rén, néng zhuā tā.
Don't worry, Your Majesty. There is someone who can catch him.
- the Jade Emperor 谁？
Shéi?
Who?
- Guanyin 陛下妹妹的儿子，灌江口的二郎神。
Bìxià mèimei de érzi, Guànjiāngkǒu de Èrláng Shén.
Your Majesty's sister's son, Erlang Shen of Guanjiangkou.
- the Jade Emperor 二郎？好！快派人去请他！
Èrláng? Hǎo! Kuài pài rén qù qǐng tā!
Erlang? Good! Send for him at once!
- Narrator 第二天早上，二郎带着六个朋友，还有大鸟和狗，来到了花果山。
Dì èr tiān zǎoshang, Èrláng dài zhe liù gè péngyou, hái yǒu dà niǎo hé gǒu, lái dào le Huāguǒ Shān.
Early the next morning, Erlang came to Flower Fruit Mountain with six friends, their hawks and his hound.
- Erlang Shen 弼马温，快出来！你认识我吗？
Bìmǎwēn, kuài chūlai! Nǐ rènshi wǒ ma?
Bimawen, come out! Do you know who I am?
