Bandits attack the pilgrims, and Wukong strikes too hard. Tang Seng sends him away, and the road west has never felt so empty.

Narrator 唐僧师徒走在山路上。忽然，树林里冲出来一群强盗。
Táng Sēng shītú zǒu zài shānlù shàng. Hūrán, shùlín lǐ chōng chūlái yì qún qiángdào.
The pilgrims were walking along a mountain road when suddenly a gang of bandits rushed out of the trees.
The Bandit Chief 站住！把马和包袱都留下来！
Zhàn zhù! Bǎ mǎ hé bāofu dōu liú xiàlái!
Stop right there! Leave the horse and the bundles!
Tang Seng 几位大哥，我们是和尚，没有钱。请让我们过去吧。
Jǐ wèi dàgē, wǒmen shì héshàng, méiyǒu qián. Qǐng ràng wǒmen guòqù ba.
Friends, we are only monks. We have no money. Please let us pass.
The Bandit Chief 没有钱？那就把马留下！兄弟们，上！
Méiyǒu qián? Nà jiù bǎ mǎ liúxià! Xiōngdimen, shàng!
No money? Then leave the horse! Brothers, get them!
Sun Wukong 师父，你站到后面去。这些人不怕死，那就让老孙来教他们一课！
Shīfu, nǐ zhàn dào hòumiàn qù. Zhèxiē rén bú pà sǐ, nà jiù ràng Lǎo Sūn lái jiāo tāmen yí kè!
Master, stand behind me. These men aren't afraid to die, so Old Sun will give them a lesson!
Sun Wukong 强盗们，吃我一棒！
Qiángdàomen, chī wǒ yí bàng!
Bandits, taste my staff!
The Bandit Chief 哎呀！这只猴子太厉害了！快跑！
Āiya! Zhè zhǐ hóuzi tài lìhài le! Kuài pǎo!
Aiya! This monkey is too strong! Run!
Sun Wukong 想跑？老孙的棒，比你们的腿还快，你们跑不了的！
Xiǎng pǎo? Lǎo Sūn de bàng, bǐ nǐmen de tuǐ hái kuài, nǐmen pǎo bu liǎo de!
Run? Old Sun's staff is faster than your legs. You can't escape!
Narrator 一阵风过去，强盗们都倒在地上，再也没有起来。
Yí zhèn fēng guòqù, qiángdàomen dōu dǎo zài dìshàng, zàiyě méiyǒu qǐlái.
A gust of wind passed, and the bandits lay on the ground and did not get up again.
Tang Seng 悟空！你……你怎么把他们都打死了？
Wùkōng! Nǐ… nǐ zěnme bǎ tāmen dōu dǎsǐ le?
Wukong! You... how could you strike them all dead?
Sun Wukong 师父，他们是强盗。我不打他们，他们就要打你了。
Shīfu, tāmen shì qiángdào. Wǒ bù dǎ tāmen, tāmen jiùyào dǎ nǐ le.
Master, they were bandits. If I didn't strike them, they would have struck you.
Tang Seng 他们可以跑，你为什么一定要打死人？和尚要有一颗好心，你太狠了！
Tāmen kěyǐ pǎo, nǐ wèishénme yídìng yào dǎsǐ rén? Héshàng yào yǒu yì kē hǎoxīn, nǐ tài hěn le!
They could have run. Why must you always kill? A monk needs a kind heart, and you are too harsh!
Sun Wukong 老孙是在保护你！你不谢我也就算了，怎么还骂我？
Lǎo Sūn shì zài bǎohù nǐ! Nǐ bú xiè wǒ yě jiù suàn le, zěnme hái mà wǒ?
Old Sun was protecting you! You don't even thank me, and you scold me on top of it?
Zhu Bajie 大师兄，你少说两句吧。师父今天真的生气了。
Dàshīxiong, nǐ shǎo shuō liǎng jù ba. Shīfu jīntiān zhēn de shēngqì le.
Big Brother, say a little less. Master is truly angry today.
Tang Seng 悟空，你打死了太多人。我不要你了。
Wùkōng, nǐ dǎsǐ le tài duō rén. Wǒ búyào nǐ le.
Wukong, you have killed too many. I don't want you anymore.
Sun Wukong 师父！你说什么？你不要老孙了？
Shīfu! Nǐ shuō shénme? Nǐ búyào Lǎo Sūn le?
Master! What did you say? You don't want Old Sun?
Tang Seng 你回花果山去吧。我给你写一封信，从今以后，你不是我的徒弟了。
Nǐ huí Huāguǒ Shān qù ba. Wǒ gěi nǐ xiě yì fēng xìn, cóng jīn yǐhòu, nǐ búshì wǒ de túdì le.
Go back to Flower Fruit Mountain. I will write you a letter. From now on, you are no longer my student.
Zhu Bajie 师父，别这样。大师兄不听话，可是这一路上，他帮了我们很多。
Shīfu, bié zhèyàng. Dàshīxiong bù tīnghuà, kěshì zhè yílù shang, tā bāng le wǒmen hěn duō.
Master, don't do this. Big Brother doesn't listen, but he has helped us so much along the way.
Tang Seng 八戒，不要说了。我已经决定了。
Bājiè, búyào shuō le. Wǒ yǐjīng juédìng le.
Bajie, say no more. I have made up my mind.
Sun Wukong 老孙上过天，下过海，从来没有人赶我走……好，我走。
Lǎo Sūn shàng guò tiān, xiàguò hǎi, cóngláiméi yǒu rén gǎn wǒ zǒu… hǎo, wǒ zǒu.
Old Sun has been up to Heaven and down to the sea, and no one has ever sent me away... Fine. I'll go.
Sun Wukong 师父，你要多保重。老孙给你拜一拜。
Shīfu, nǐ yào duō bǎozhòng. Lǎo Sūn gěi nǐ bài yí bài.
Master, take good care of yourself. Old Sun will bow to you.
Tang Seng 我不想看。你走吧，走得越远越好。
Wǒ bùxiǎng kàn. Nǐ zǒu ba, zǒu de yuè yuǎn yuè hǎo.
I don't want to look. Go, and go far.
Sun Wukong 一拜，两拜，三拜……师父，你真的不看我一眼吗？
Yí bài, liǎng bài, sān bài… shīfu, nǐ zhēn de bú kàn wǒ yì yǎn ma?
One bow, two bows, three bows... Master, you really won't look at me once?
Zhu Bajie 大师兄，你真的要走吗？你走了，我以后跟谁吵架啊？
Dàshīxiong, nǐ zhēn de yào zǒu ma? Nǐ zǒu le, wǒ yǐhòu gēn shuí chǎojià a?
Big Brother, are you really leaving? If you go, who will I argue with?
Sun Wukong 八戒，你要看好师父。要是有妖怪来了，你就说，你是老孙的师弟！
Bājiè, nǐ yào kànhǎo shīfu. Yàoshì yǒu yāoguai lái le, nǐ jiù shuō, nǐ shì Lǎo Sūn de shīdì!
Bajie, watch over Master. If a demon comes, say you are Old Sun's younger brother!
Sun Wukong 妖怪一听老孙的名字，就会怕的。再见了，师父。
Yāoguai yì tīng Lǎo Sūn de míngzi, jiù huì pà de. Zàijiàn le, shīfu.
Demons are afraid the moment they hear Old Sun's name. Goodbye, Master.
Narrator 悟空翻了一个筋斗，飞上了天。云里的影子越来越小，最后什么也看不见了。
Wùkōng fān le yí gè jīndǒu, fēi shàng le tiān. Yún lǐ de yǐngzi yuè lái yuè xiǎo, zuìhòu shénme yě kàn bu jiàn le.
Wukong somersaulted into the sky. His shadow in the clouds grew smaller and smaller, until nothing could be seen.
Zhu Bajie 师父，他真的走了。没有大师兄，妖怪来了，我们怎么办？
Shīfu, tā zhēn de zǒu le. Méiyǒu dàshīxiong, yāoguai lái le, wǒmen zěnme bàn?
Master, he really is gone. Without Big Brother, what do we do when a demon comes?
Tang Seng 我……我也不知道。悟空，师父是不是做错了？你会不会恨我？
Wǒ… wǒ yě bù zhīdào. Wùkōng, shīfu shì bu shì zuò cuò le? Nǐ huì búhuì hèn wǒ?
I... I don't know either. Wukong, did your master do wrong? Will you hate me?
Tang Seng 没有你，我们真的走得到西天吗？
Méiyǒu nǐ, wǒmen zhēn de zǒu de dào Xītiān ma?
