The Lady of the Lake

A knight breaks Arthur's sword in a fight. Then Merlin leads him to a misty lake where a hand rises out of the water.

Ha ha! The king has no sword!
- Arthur 梅林！梅林！快来！
Méilín! Méilín! Kuài lái!
Merlin! Merlin! Come quickly!
- Merlin 我在这儿。睡吧，睡吧，骑士。
Wǒ zài zhèr. Shuì ba, shuì ba, qíshì.
I'm here. Sleep, sleep, knight.
- Proud Knight 我……好困……啊……
Wǒ... hǎo kùn... ā...
I... so sleepy... ah...
- Arthur 你做了什么？
Nǐ zuò le shénme?
What did you do?
- Merlin 他只是睡了。一会儿就好。醒来，他会忘了这件事。
Tā zhǐshì shuì le. Yíhuìr jiù hǎo. Xǐng lái, tā huì wàng le zhè jiàn shì.
He's only sleeping. He'll be fine soon. When he wakes, he'll forget all about this.
- Arthur 谢谢你。可是我没有剑了。我怎么办？
Xièxie nǐ. Kěshì wǒ méiyǒu jiàn le. Wǒ zěnme bàn?
Thank you. But I have no sword now. What do I do?
- Merlin 别难过。来，跟我走，我们去湖那边。
Bié nánguò. Lái, gēn wǒ zǒu, wǒmen qù hú nàbiān.
Don't be sad. Come with me, we're going to the lake.
- Arthur 这个湖真漂亮。
Zhège hú zhēn piàoliang.
This lake is so beautiful.
- Arthur 看！水里有一只手！
Kàn! Shuǐ lǐ yǒu yì zhī shǒu!
Look! There's a hand in the water!
- Arthur 手里有剑！还是金色的！
Shǒu lǐ yǒu jiàn! Hái shi jīnsè de!
And it's holding a sword! A golden one!
- Lady of the Lake 你好，亚瑟。我是湖中女士。
Nǐ hǎo, Yàsè. Wǒ shì hú zhōng nǚshì.
Hello, Arthur. I am the Lady of the Lake.
- Lady of the Lake 它叫神剑。它是你的了。
Tā jiào shénjiàn. Tā shì nǐ de le.
It is called Excalibur, the magic sword. It is yours now.
- Arthur 给我？太好了！谢谢您！
Gěi wǒ? Tài hǎo le! Xièxie nín!
For me? Wonderful! Thank you!
- Lady of the Lake 你要用它保护大家，不要打好人。
Nǐ yào yòng tā bǎohù dàjiā, bú yào dǎ hǎo rén.
Use it to protect everyone. Never to hurt good people.
- Arthur 我会的。我说到做到。
Wǒ huì de. Wǒ shuō dào zuò dào.
I will. I keep my word.
- Lady of the Lake 去吧，亚瑟。你是一个好国王。
Qù ba, Yàsè. Nǐ shì yí gè hǎo guówáng.
Go now, Arthur. You are a good king.
- Lady of the Lake 这个也给你。带着它，你不会受伤。
Zhège yě gěi nǐ. Dài zhe tā, nǐ bú huì shòushāng.
Take this too. While you carry it, you can't be hurt.
- Arthur 这是剑的家吗？真好看！
Zhè shì jiàn de jiā ma? Zhēn hǎokàn!
Is this the sword's home? It's beautiful!
- Merlin 你有神剑了。可是国里，大家还在打来打去。
Nǐ yǒu shénjiàn le. Kěshì guó lǐ, dàjiā hái zài dǎ lái dǎ qù.
You have the magic sword. But in your land, people are still fighting each other.
- Arthur 那怎么办，梅林？
Nà zěnme bàn, Méilín?
Then what should I do, Merlin?
- Merlin 你要做一张桌子。
Nǐ yào zuò yì zhāng zhuōzi.
You must make a table.
- Arthur 桌子？桌子有什么用？我不明白！
Zhuōzi? Zhuōzi yǒu shénme yòng? Wǒ bù míngbai!
A table? What good is a table? I don't understand!
- Merlin 这是圆桌。坐下来，坏人也会变成朋友。
Zhè shì yuánzhuō. Zuò xiàlái, huài rén yě huì biànchéng péngyou.
It is a round table. Sit down at it, and even bad men become friends.
