How do you do, Miss Elizabeth… My brother often talks about you.

I'd heard Miss Darcy was very proud. But she isn't proud at all, only too shy to speak.
- Elizabeth Bennet
Dáxī xiǎojie, wǒ yě yìzhí hěn xiǎng rènshi nǐ.
Miss Darcy, I've been wanting to meet you too.

The last time we met was the twenty-sixth of November, when we were all dancing. That's more than eight months!
- Mr. Bingley
Nǐ de jiějie mèimei… dōu zài jiā ma?
Your sisters… are they all at home?
- Elizabeth Bennet
Tā shì xiǎng wèn Jiǎn ba?
It's Jane he means, isn't it?
- Elizabeth Bennet
Dōu zài jiā, dàjiā dōu hěn hǎo.
They're all at home, and all very well.
- Mrs. Gardiner
Wǒ kàn a, Dáxī xiānsheng de yǎnjing, jiù méi líkāi guo Lìzī.
Well! Mr. Darcy hasn't taken his eyes off Lizzy once.
- Mrs. Gardiner
Kěshì Lìzī xīnli zěnme xiǎng, wǒ hái kàn bu qīngchu.
But what Lizzy feels, I can't quite tell yet.
- Elizabeth Bennet
Yǐjīng bànyè le… wǒ jùjué le tā, kěshì tā hái xiǎng ràng mèimei rènshi wǒ.
Past midnight already… I turned him down, and still he wants his sister to know me.
- Elizabeth Bennet
Wǒ duì tā, dàodǐ shì shénme gǎnjué?
What do I really feel for him?
Dì èr tiān, jiùjiu gēn xiānshengmen qù hébiān diào yú le. Yīlìshābái hé jiùmā qù Péngbólì kàn Dáxī xiǎojie.
The next day, her uncle went fishing by the stream with the gentlemen, and Elizabeth and her aunt went to Pemberley to call on Miss Darcy.
- Miss Darcy
Yīlìshābái xiǎojie… huānyíng nín lái Péngbólì.
Miss Elizabeth… welcome to Pemberley.
- Miss Bingley
Tiān na, nǐ yě lái le, Yīlìshābái xiǎojie.
Good heavens. You've come too, Miss Elizabeth.
Yīlìshābái xiǎojie, wǒ gāngcái yìzhí gēn nín jiùjiu zài hébiān. Tā hěn huì diào yú!
Miss Elizabeth, I've just been down at the stream with your uncle. He's an excellent fisherman!
- Miss Bingley
Yīlìshābái xiǎojie, tīngshuō jūnguānmen dōu zǒu le? Nǐmen jiā yídìng hěn nánguò ba?
Miss Elizabeth, I hear the officers have all gone? Your family must miss them terribly.
Dáxī xiǎojie hóng zhe liǎn, yí jù huà yě shuō bu chūlai. Dáxī xiānsheng de liǎn yě hóng le.
Miss Darcy turned red and could not say a word. Mr. Darcy's face colored too.
- Elizabeth Bennet
Shì, tāmen zǒu le. Wǒmen jiā hěn hǎo, xièxie guānxīn.
Yes, they've gone. My family is quite well, thank you.
Tā zhīdào wǒ mèimei de mìmì… kěshì tā shénme dōu méi shuō.
She knows my sister's secret… and she said nothing.
- Narrator
Yīlìshābái hé jiùmā zǒu le.
Elizabeth and her aunt left.
- Miss Bingley
Dáxī xiānsheng, Yīlìshābái xiǎojie biàn de yòu hēi yòu nánkàn! Wǒ chàdiǎnr méi rèn chū tā lái.
Mr. Darcy, Miss Elizabeth has grown so brown and plain! I hardly knew her.
Zhǐshì hēi le yìdiǎnr. Xiàtiān chūmén lǚxíng, shéi dōu huì zhèyàng.
A little tanned, that's all. Anyone who travels in summer would be.
- Miss Bingley
Tā de yǎnjing, yǒu rén shuō hěn měi. Wǒ yìdiǎnr yě kàn bu chūlai!
Her eyes? Some people call them beautiful. I can't see it at all!
- Miss Bingley
Wǒ cónglái bù juéde tā piàoliang. Nín gāng rènshi tā de shíhou, yě shuō tā bú gòu piàoliang!
I never thought her pretty. And when you first met her, you said she wasn't pretty enough!
- Mr. Darcy
Shì. Nà shì wǒ gāng rènshi tā de shíhou.
Yes. That was when I first met her.
Kěshì zhè jǐ gè yuè, wǒ yìzhí juéde, wǒ rènshi de nǚrén li, hěn shǎo yǒu rén bǐ tā gèng měi.
But for months now I've thought her one of the most beautiful women I know.
