Lydia comes home a married woman and lets slip a name she promised to keep secret, and a letter from Aunt Gardiner tells Elizabeth what really happened in London.

That day at the church, Uncle almost couldn't come. But it didn't matter, Mr. Darcy was there too!

Mr. Darcy? He was at your wedding?

Good heavens! I've said it! It's a secret, I promised them I wouldn't tell!

On the sixth of September, her aunt's answer came.

My dear Lizzy, do you really not know? It was Mr. Darcy who found them.

He found Miss Darcy's old governess. She knew where Wickham was.

He even paid for Wickham to be an officer in the north.
