In the dark, Romeo climbs a garden wall to find the girl he cannot forget. From her balcony, Juliet asks him a question that changes everything.

Romeo! Come out, lover boy! Your friends are here!
- Benvolio 别喊了。他不想被我们找到。我们走吧。
Bié hǎn le. Tā bù xiǎng bèi wǒmen zhǎodào. Wǒmen zǒu ba.
Stop shouting. He doesn't want us to find him. Let's go.
- Mercutio 好吧，好吧。让他一个人在黑暗里找他的爱情吧。晚安，情人！
Hǎo ba, hǎo ba. Ràng tā yí gè rén zài hēi'àn lǐ zhǎo tā de àiqíng ba. Wǎn'ān, qíngrén!

- Benvolio 晚安，罗密欧。明天见。
Wǎn'ān, Luómì'ōu. Míngtiān jiàn.
Good night, Romeo. See you tomorrow.
- Romeo 他们走了。可是我怎么能回家？我的心还在这里。
Tāmen zǒu le. Kěshì wǒ zěnme néng huíjiā? Wǒ de xīn hái zài zhèlǐ.
They're gone. But how can I go home? My heart is still here.
- Romeo 看！楼上有光。朱丽叶出来了！她像月亮一样。
Kàn! Lóu shàng yǒu guāng. Zhūlìyè chūlái le! Tā xiàng yuèliang yíyàng.
Look! There's a light upstairs. Juliet is coming out! She's like the moon.
- Juliet 我一个人站在阳台上，只有月亮跟我说话。
Wǒ yí gè rén zhàn zài yángtái shang, zhǐyǒu yuèliang gēn wǒ shuōhuà.
I stand alone on my balcony, and only the moon talks to me.
- Juliet 我不管他姓什么。我只要他这个人。
Wǒ bù guǎn tā xìng shénme. Wǒ zhǐ yào tā zhège rén.
I don't care what his family name is. I only want him.
- Romeo 我在这里！你说的话，我全听见了。
Wǒ zài zhèlǐ! Nǐ shuō de huà, wǒ quán tīngjiàn le.
I'm here! I heard everything you said.
- Romeo 我刚才不敢出声，怕你像梦一样不见了。
Wǒ gāngcái bù gǎn chūshēng, pà nǐ xiàng mèng yíyàng bú jiàn le.
I was afraid to make a sound, in case you vanished like a dream.
- Juliet 谁在那儿？啊！罗密欧！这里太危险了！
Shéi zài nàr? A! Luómì'ōu! Zhèlǐ tài wēixiǎn le!
Who's there? Oh! Romeo! It's too dangerous here!
- Juliet 这面墙这么高，我家的人看见你，会让你受伤的！
Zhè miàn qiáng zhème gāo, wǒ jiā de rén kànjiàn nǐ, huì ràng nǐ shòushāng de!
This wall is so high, and if my family sees you, they'll hurt you!
- Romeo 爱让我变成一只鸟。墙有多高，我都飞得过来。
Ài ràng wǒ biànchéng yì zhī niǎo. Qiáng yǒu duō gāo, wǒ dōu fēi de guòlái.
Love turned me into a bird. No matter how high the wall, I can fly over it.
- Juliet 你的话太甜了。你不是在骗我吧？
Nǐ de huà tài tián le. Nǐ bú shì zài piàn wǒ ba?
Your words are so sweet. You aren't fooling me, are you?
- Romeo 我不知道我会站多久。我只想一直看着你。
Wǒ bù zhīdào wǒ huì zhàn duō jiǔ. Wǒ zhǐ xiǎng yìzhí kànzhe nǐ.
I don't know how long I'll stand here. I just want to keep looking at you.
- Romeo 我对着月亮发誓，我爱你！
Wǒ duìzhe yuèliang fāshì, wǒ ài nǐ!
I swear by the moon that I love you!
- Juliet 别对月亮发誓，它每个月都在变。
Bié duì yuèliang fāshì, tā měi gè yuè dōu zài biàn.
Don't swear by the moon. It changes every month.
- Romeo 那我该对什么发誓？
Nà wǒ gāi duì shénme fāshì?
Then what should I swear by?
- Juliet 不用发誓。你只要每天都爱我，就够了。
Búyòng fāshì. Nǐ zhǐyào měitiān dōu ài wǒ, jiù gòu le.
No need to swear. Just love me every day. That's enough.
- Juliet 我知道这太快了。可是我的心不听我的话。
Wǒ zhīdào zhè tài kuài le. Kěshì wǒ de xīn bù tīng wǒ de huà.
I know this is too fast. But my heart won't listen to me.
- Nurse 小姐！朱丽叶小姐！都这么晚了，你在跟谁说话？
Xiǎojie! Zhūlìyè xiǎojie! Dōu zhème wǎn le, nǐ zài gēn shéi shuōhuà?
Miss! Miss Juliet! It's so late. Who are you talking to?
- Juliet 是奶妈！你等一下，别走！我马上回来。
Shì nǎimā! Nǐ děng yíxià, bié zǒu! Wǒ mǎshàng huílái.
It's the nurse! Wait a moment, don't go! I'll be right back.
- Romeo 夜这么黑……这一定是个梦。太好了，别让我醒来。
Yè zhème hēi… zhè yídìng shì gè mèng. Tài hǎo le, bié ràng wǒ xǐng lái.
The night is so dark... this must be a dream. How wonderful. Don't let me wake up.
- Juliet 我回来了。听着，如果你真的爱我，就跟我结婚。
Wǒ huílái le. Tīngzhe, rúguǒ nǐ zhēnde ài wǒ, jiù gēn wǒ jiéhūn.
I'm back. Listen: if you really love me, marry me.
- Romeo 结婚？好！我愿意！
Jiéhūn? Hǎo! Wǒ yuànyì!
Marry? Yes! I will!
- Juliet 明天我会派人来找你。你告诉他，我们在哪儿，什么时候结婚。
Míngtiān wǒ huì pài rén lái zhǎo nǐ. Nǐ gàosu tā, wǒmen zài nǎr, shénme shíhou jiéhūn.
Tomorrow I'll send someone to find you. Tell them where and when we'll marry.
- Romeo 我以我的心发誓，我一定会来。
Wǒ yǐ wǒ de xīn fāshì, wǒ yídìng huì lái.
I swear on my heart that I'll come.
- Nurse 朱丽叶！天要亮了！快进来！
Zhūlìyè! Tiān yào liàng le! Kuài jìnlái!
Juliet! It's almost dawn! Come inside at once!
- Juliet 晚安，罗密欧。明天一定要来！别忘了，我的心都在你手里。
Wǎn'ān, Luómì'ōu. Míngtiān yídìng yào lái! Bié wàng le, wǒ de xīn dōu zài nǐ shǒu lǐ.
