Lu Wei is back, and their first date is a sunny walk by the river. Two nervous people, two cups of bubble tea, and a confession about green tea.

- Jiang Ning 陆伟回来了。星期六下午，我们去河边走走。
Lù Wěi huílái le. Xīngqīliù xiàwǔ, wǒmen qù hébiān zǒuzou.
Lu Wei is back. On Saturday afternoon, we go for a walk by the river.
- Jiang Ning 太阳很好。这是我们第一次不在茶馆见面。
Tàiyáng hěn hǎo. Zhè shì wǒmen dì yī cì bú zài cháguǎn jiànmiàn.
The sun is out. It's the first time we've ever met anywhere but the teahouse.
- Jiang Ning 我们走了很久。他拿着两杯奶茶，一句话也不说。
Wǒmen zǒu le hěn jiǔ. Tā názhe liǎng bēi nǎichá, yí jù huà yě bù shuō.
We walk for a long time. He's carrying two cups of bubble tea, and he hasn't said a word.
- Jiang Ning 陆伟，有一杯是给我的吗？
Lù Wěi, yǒu yì bēi shì gěi wǒ de ma?
Lu Wei, is one of those for me?
- Lu Wei 啊！对不起，对不起！给你。我太紧张了。
À! Duìbuqǐ, duìbuqǐ! Gěi nǐ. Wǒ tài jǐnzhāng le.
Oh! Sorry, sorry! Here. I'm just really nervous.
- Jiang Ning 他也紧张？我笑了。现在，我不紧张了。
Tā yě jǐnzhāng? Wǒ xiào le. Xiànzài, wǒ bù jǐnzhāng le.
He's nervous too? I laugh, and suddenly I'm not nervous anymore.
- Lu Wei 我还在手机上写了十个问题。我怕我们没有话说。
Wǒ hái zài shǒujī shang xiě le shí gè wèntí. Wǒ pà wǒmen méiyǒu huà shuō.
I even wrote ten questions on my phone. I was afraid we'd have nothing to talk about.
- Jiang Ning 十个问题？那天在路上，我也说了十遍“我们一起喝茶，好吗？”
Shí gè wèntí? Nà tiān zài lùshang, wǒ yě shuō le shí biàn “Wǒmen yìqǐ hē chá, hǎo ma?”
Ten questions? That Thursday, on my way there, I practiced “Shall we have tea together?” ten times myself.
- Lu Wei 真的？我们两个，真是一样。
Zhēn de? Wǒmen liǎng gè, zhēn shì yíyàng.
Really? Then we're two of a kind.
- Jiang Ning 好，我先问。你为什么每个星期四都喝绿茶？
Hǎo, wǒ xiān wèn. Nǐ wèi shénme měi gè xīngqīsì dōu hē lǜchá?
Okay, I'll go first. Why do you drink green tea every single Thursday?
- Lu Wei 其实……我不喜欢绿茶。
Qíshí… wǒ bù xǐhuan lǜchá.
Actually… I don't like green tea.
- Jiang Ning 什么？你喝了六个月的绿茶！
Shénme? Nǐ hē le liù gè yuè de lǜchá!
What? You've been drinking green tea for six months!
- Lu Wei 第一个星期四，我看见你，就忘了自己想喝什么。
Dì yī gè xīngqīsì, wǒ kànjiàn nǐ, jiù wàng le zìjǐ xiǎng hē shénme.
That first Thursday, I saw you and forgot what I wanted to drink.
- Lu Wei 我说了“绿茶”。后来，王阿姨每次都给我绿茶。
Wǒ shuō le “lǜchá”. Hòulái, Wáng āyí měi cì dōu gěi wǒ lǜchá.
So I said “green tea.” After that, Auntie Wang brought me green tea every time.
- Lu Wei 我不好意思说“不”。
Wǒ bù hǎoyìsi shuō “bù”.
And I was too embarrassed to say no.
- Jiang Ning 我笑得停不下来。六个月的绿茶！
Wǒ xiào de tíng bú xiàlái. Liù gè yuè de lǜchá!
I can't stop laughing. Six months of green tea!
- Jiang Ning 陆伟，你还回北京吗？
Lù Wěi, nǐ hái huí Běijīng ma?
Lu Wei, are you going back to Beijing?
- Lu Wei 不回了。北京也有星期四，可是北京没有你。
Bù huí le. Běijīng yě yǒu xīngqīsì, kěshì Běijīng méiyǒu nǐ.
No. Beijing has Thursdays too, but Beijing doesn't have you.
- Jiang Ning 这时，他的手机响了。
Zhè shí, tā de shǒujī xiǎng le.
Just then, his phone pings.
- Lu Wei 是我姐姐。她请你明天去她家吃饭。
Shì wǒ jiějie. Tā qǐng nǐ míngtiān qù tā jiā chīfàn.
It's my sister. She's inviting you to dinner at her place tomorrow.
- Lu Wei 她还说……她也写了问题。
Tā hái shuō… tā yě xiě le wèntí.
She also says… she's written some questions too.
- Jiang Ning 几个？
Jǐ gè?
How many?
- Lu Wei 一百个。
Yìbǎi gè.
A hundred.
