A Prince in the Forest
森林里的王子
A stranger knocks at the dwarfs' door after dark. In the morning he climbs the mountain with them, and finds something he cannot leave behind.

Hello! I'm a king's son. I'm not from around here.
- The Prince 天黑了，森林里很冷。今天晚上，我能住在你们这儿吗？
Tiān hēi le, sēnlín li hěn lěng. Jīntiān wǎnshang, wǒ néng zhù zài nǐmen zhèr ma?
It's dark, and the forest is cold. May I stay with you tonight?
- The Seventh Dwarf 不要开门！我怕……
Bú yào kāi mén! Wǒ pà…
Don't open the door! I'm scared...

- The Seventh Dwarf 您请坐！您吃饭了吗？我们有饭，也有菜。
Nín qǐng zuò! Nín chī fàn le ma? Wǒmen yǒu fàn, yě yǒu cài.
Please, sit down! Have you eaten? We have rice, and vegetables too.
- The Prince 谢谢你们！我今天什么都没有吃。
Xièxie nǐmen! Wǒ jīntiān shénme dōu méiyǒu chī.
Thank you all! I haven't eaten a thing today.
- The Seventh Dwarf 今天的饭是他做的……不太好吃。
Jīntiān de fàn shì tā zuò de… bú tài hǎochī.
He cooked today's meal... it's not very good.
- The First Dwarf 我听见了。
Wǒ tīngjiàn le.
I heard that.
- The Prince 很好吃！真的！
Hěn hǎochī! Zhēn de!
It's very good! Really!
- Narrator 第二天早上，他和小矮人上了山。
Dì èr tiān zǎoshang, tā hé xiǎo'ǎirén shàng le shān.
The next morning, he went up the mountain with the dwarfs.
- The Prince 这是……一口玻璃棺材？里边有一个姑娘！
Zhè shì… yì kǒu bōli guāncai? Lǐbian yǒu yí gè gūniang!
What's this... a glass coffin? There's a young woman inside!
- The Prince 她真漂亮，像在睡觉。上边还有金字……
Tā zhēn piàoliang, xiàng zài shuìjiào. Shàngbian hái yǒu jīnzì…
She's so beautiful, as if she were asleep. And there are gold letters on it...
- The Prince 她叫白雪公主，是国王的女儿。我也是国王的儿子。
Tā jiào Báixuě gōngzhǔ, shì guówáng de nǚ'ér. Wǒ yě shì guówáng de érzi.
Her name is Snow White, and she's a king's daughter. I'm a king's son too.
- The Seventh Dwarf 她是我们的白雪公主。我们天天来看她。
Tā shì wǒmen de Báixuě gōngzhǔ. Wǒmen tiāntiān lái kàn tā.
She's our Snow White. We come to see her every day.
- The Prince 她怎么在这儿？她什么时候醒？
Tā zěnme zài zhèr? Tā shénme shíhou xǐng?
Why is she here? When will she wake up?
- The First Dwarf 她不会醒了。她死了。
Tā bú huì xǐng le. Tā sǐ le.
She won't wake up. She is dead.
- The Seventh Dwarf 很多年前，她吃了王后的毒苹果。
Hěn duō nián qián, tā chī le wánghòu de dú píngguǒ.
Many years ago, she ate the Queen's poisoned apple.
- The Prince 我想天天看见她……这口棺材，你们给我，好吗？
Wǒ xiǎng tiāntiān kànjiàn tā… zhè kǒu guāncai, nǐmen gěi wǒ, hǎo ma?
I want to see her every day... Will you give me this coffin?
- The Seventh Dwarf 给您？您要和她去哪儿？
Gěi nín? Nín yào hé tā qù nǎr?
Give it to you? Where will you go with her?
- The Prince 去我爸爸的王宫。你们要多少钱，我都给！
Qù wǒ bàba de wánggōng. Nǐmen yào duōshao qián, wǒ dōu gěi!
To my father's palace. However much money you want, I'll give it!
- The First Dwarf 您给我们多少钱，我们都不卖。
Nín gěi wǒmen duōshao qián, wǒmen dōu bú mài.
However much money you give us, we won't sell it.
- The Prince 那……你们送我吧。我不能没有她。
Nà… nǐmen sòng wǒ ba. Wǒ bù néng méiyǒu tā.
Then... give it to me as a gift. I can't be without her.
- The Prince 看不见她，我会死的。我会对她很好，她是我最爱的人。
Kàn bu jiàn tā, wǒ huì sǐ de. Wǒ huì duì tā hěn hǎo, tā shì wǒ zuì ài de rén.
If I can't see her, I will die. I'll be good to her. She is the one I love most.
- The Seventh Dwarf 他真的很爱她……我们给他吧？
Tā zhēn de hěn ài tā… wǒmen gěi tā ba?
He really loves her... shall we give it to him?
- The First Dwarf 好吧。我们送给您。您要对她好！
Hǎo ba. Wǒmen sòng gěi nín. Nín yào duì tā hǎo!
All right. We'll give it to you. Be good to her!
- Narrator 他的人来了。他们抬起玻璃棺材，下山了。
Tā de rén lái le. Tāmen tái qǐ bōli guāncai, xià shān le.
His men came. They lifted the glass coffin and set off down the mountain.
- The Prince 我们回家吧，白雪公主。
Wǒmen huí jiā ba, Báixuě gōngzhǔ.
Let's go home, Snow White.
- The Seventh Dwarf 白雪公主，再见！你醒了，还会回来看我们吗？
Báixuě gōngzhǔ, zàijiàn! Nǐ xǐng le, hái huì huílái kàn wǒmen ma?
Goodbye, Snow White! When you wake up, will you come back to see us?
