The Little Door
小门
An old woman waits outside the little door with pretty laces. Snow White promised to open it to no one, and she is all alone in the house.

- Narrator 中午，白雪公主一个人在家。门外是一个卖东西的老奶奶。
Zhōngwǔ, Báixuě gōngzhǔ yí gè rén zài jiā. Mén wài shì yí gè mài dōngxi de lǎonǎinai.
At noon, Snow White was home alone. Outside the door stood an old woman selling things.
- The Queen 她不知道，我是王后……今天，她要死。
Tā bù zhīdào, wǒ shì wánghòu… Jīntiān, tā yào sǐ.
She doesn't know I'm the Queen... Today, she dies.
- The Queen 孩子，你不想买吗？那好，老奶奶回去了。
Háizi, nǐ bù xiǎng mǎi ma? Nà hǎo, lǎonǎinai huíqù le.
Don't you want to buy anything, child? Very well, this old woman will go home.

Xiǎo'ǎirén shuō, bú yào gěi rén kāi mén… Lǎonǎinai dōu shì hǎorén ba? Wǒ kāi yíxià mén, méi guānxi.
The dwarfs said not to open the door to anyone... But old women are all good people, aren't they? Opening it for a moment will be all right.
- Snow White 老奶奶，我开门了。我能看一看您的带子吗？
Lǎonǎinai, wǒ kāi mén le. Wǒ néng kàn yi kàn nín de dàizi ma?
Ma'am, I've opened the door. May I have a look at your laces?
- The Queen 你真好！你喜欢红的，还是黑的？
Nǐ zhēn hǎo! Nǐ xǐhuan hóng de, háishi hēi de?
How kind you are! Do you like the red ones or the black ones?
- Snow White 我喜欢红的！红红的，像苹果。多少钱？
Wǒ xǐhuan hóng de! Hónghóng de, xiàng píngguǒ. Duōshao qián?
I like the red ones! Bright red, like an apple. How much are they?
- The Queen 很便宜，一点儿也不贵。
Hěn piányi, yìdiǎnr yě bú guì.
Very cheap. Not expensive at all.
- Snow White 老奶奶，您坐一下吧。您想喝茶吗？
Lǎonǎinai, nín zuò yíxià ba. Nín xiǎng hē chá ma?
Ma'am, do sit down for a moment. Would you like some tea?
- The Queen 不喝了，孩子。你穿上，给我看一看。
Bù hē le, háizi. Nǐ chuān shàng, gěi wǒ kàn yi kàn.
No tea, child. Put them on and let me see.
- Snow White 小矮人看见我的红带子，会说什么呢？
Xiǎo'ǎirén kànjiàn wǒ de hóng dàizi, huì shuō shénme ne?
When the dwarfs see my red laces, what will they say?
- The Queen 他们会说，你最漂亮！来，我给你穿上。
Tāmen huì shuō, nǐ zuì piàoliang! Lái, wǒ gěi nǐ chuān shàng.
They'll say you're the most beautiful! Come, I'll lace them for you.
- Snow White 谢谢您，老奶奶。您对我真好！
Xièxie nín, lǎonǎinai. Nín duì wǒ zhēn hǎo!
Thank you, ma'am. You're so good to me!
- The Queen 不要动，孩子。紧一点儿，好看！
Bú yào dòng, háizi. Jǐn yìdiǎnr, hǎokàn!
Hold still, child. A little tighter looks prettier!
- Snow White 老奶奶，太紧了！我不能……
Lǎonǎinai, tài jǐn le! Wǒ bù néng…
Ma'am, it's too tight! I can't...
- Narrator 白雪公主不说话了，也不动了。
Báixuě gōngzhǔ bù shuōhuà le, yě bú dòng le.
Snow White said nothing more, and she did not move.
- The Queen 白雪公主死了！现在，魔镜会说我最漂亮！
Báixuě gōngzhǔ sǐ le! Xiànzài, mójìng huì shuō wǒ zuì piàoliang!
Snow White is dead! Now the magic mirror will say I'm the most beautiful!
- The Queen 再见了，孩子。我现在回王宫！
Zàijiàn le, háizi. Wǒ xiànzài huí wánggōng!
Goodbye, child. Back to the palace I go!
- Narrator 下午过去了。晚上，七个小矮人回家了。
Xiàwǔ guòqù le. Wǎnshang, qī gè xiǎo'ǎirén huí jiā le.
The afternoon passed. In the evening, the seven dwarfs came home.
- The Seventh Dwarf 我想吃饭了！今天白雪公主做了什么好吃的？
Wǒ xiǎng chī fàn le! Jīntiān Báixuě gōngzhǔ zuò le shénme hǎochī de?
I'm ready for dinner! What good thing has Snow White cooked today?
- The First Dwarf 你天天都问这个。
Nǐ tiāntiān dōu wèn zhège.
You ask that every single day.
- The Seventh Dwarf 她做的饭，最好吃！
Tā zuò de fàn, zuì hǎochī!
Because her cooking is the best!
- The First Dwarf 王后会不会知道她在这儿？
Wánghòu huì bu huì zhīdào tā zài zhèr?
Could the Queen find out she's here?
- The Seventh Dwarf 知道了也没关系！白雪公主说了，谁来，她都不开门。
Zhīdào le yě méi guānxi! Báixuě gōngzhǔ shuō le, shéi lái, tā dōu bù kāi mén.
Even if she does, it doesn't matter! Snow White said she won't open the door, whoever comes.
- The First Dwarf 你们看……门开了。
Nǐmen kàn… mén kāi le.
Look... the door is open.
- The Seventh Dwarf 白雪公主？我们回来了！你在哪儿？
Báixuě gōngzhǔ? Wǒmen huílái le! Nǐ zài nǎr?
Snow White? We're home! Where are you?
- The First Dwarf 天哪！她在地上，不动了！
Tiān na! Tā zài dìshang, bú dòng le!
Oh no! She's on the floor, and she isn't moving!
- The Seventh Dwarf 白雪公主！你醒一醒！
Báixuě gōngzhǔ! Nǐ xǐng yi xǐng!
