Five immortals in five colors land on the hill. A goat eats a little girl's hat, and each goat carries a golden gift. But the water is under a heavy stone.

Five goats stood on the hill. On every goat sat an immortal.

Bié pà, xiǎopéngyou. Wǒ shì Hóngyī.
Don't be afraid, little one. I am Red Robe.
- Yellow Robe 我是黄衣。你们好！
Wǒ shì Huángyī. Nǐmen hǎo!
I am Yellow Robe. Hello, everyone!
- White Robe 我是白衣。我们从很远的天上来。
Wǒ shì Báiyī. Wǒmen cóng hěn yuǎn de tiān shàng lái.
I am White Robe. We come from far away in the sky.
- Green Robe 我是绿衣！你们看，我的羊最好看！
Wǒ shì Lǜyī! Nǐmen kàn, wǒ de yáng zuì hǎokàn!
I am Green Robe! Look, my goat is the prettiest!
- Black Robe 我是黑衣。我的羊最大。
Wǒ shì Hēiyī. Wǒ de yáng zuì dà.
I am Black Robe. My goat is the biggest.
- Xiao He 黑衣，你的羊真的很大！
Hēiyī, nǐ de yáng zhēn de hěn dà!
Black Robe, your goat really is big!
- Black Robe 你看，小朋友也这样说。
Nǐ kàn, xiǎopéngyou yě zhèyàng shuō.
See? Even the little one says so.
- Green Robe 小朋友，我的羊更好看，对不对？
Xiǎopéngyou, wǒ de yáng gèng hǎokàn, duì bu duì?
Little one, my goat is prettier, isn't it?
- Red Robe 好了好了，别说了。
Hǎo le hǎo le, bié shuō le.
All right, all right, enough of that.
- Xiao He 哎呀！有一只羊在吃我的帽子！
Āiyā! Yǒu yì zhī yáng zài chī wǒ de màozi!
Oh no! A goat is eating my hat!
- Green Robe 哈哈！它不是坏羊，它饿了！
Hāhā! Tā bú shì huài yáng, tā è le!
Ha ha! It's not a bad goat, it's just hungry!
- Xiao He 我也饿！羊，我们是朋友！
Wǒ yě è! Yáng, wǒmen shì péngyou!
I'm hungry too! Goat, we're friends!
- Grandpa 仙人，你们为什么来这里？
Xiānrén, nǐmen wèishénme lái zhèlǐ?
Immortals, why have you come here?
- Yellow Robe 我们看见你们的村子。地很热，人很饿。
Wǒmen kànjiàn nǐmen de cūnzi. Dì hěn rè, rén hěn è.
We saw your village. The ground is hot and the people are hungry.
- Black Robe 我们不想看着你们饿。
Wǒmen bù xiǎng kàn zhe nǐmen è.
We don't want to watch you go hungry.
- White Robe 你们看，每只羊的嘴里，都有一样东西。
Nǐmen kàn, měi zhī yáng de zuǐ lǐ, dōu yǒu yí yàng dōngxi.
Look, in every goat's mouth there is something.
- Xiao He 黄黄的，像小太阳！
Huánghuáng de, xiàng xiǎo tàiyáng!
Yellow, like a little sun!
- Red Robe 这是稻。稻里面有米。
Zhè shì dào. Dào lǐmiàn yǒu mǐ.
This is rice, still on the plant. There is rice inside it.
- Grandpa 稻里有米？那我们有饭吃了！
Dào lǐ yǒu mǐ? Nà wǒmen yǒu fàn chī le!
Rice inside? Then we will have food!
- Xiao He 现在可以吃吗？我好饿！
Xiànzài kěyǐ chī ma? Wǒ hǎo è!
Can we eat it now? I'm so hungry!
- Yellow Robe 哈哈，不能吃！要先种在地里。
Hāhā, bù néng chī! Yào xiān zhòng zài dì lǐ.
Ha ha, not yet! First it must be planted in the field.
- Xiao He 种？可是我们没有水！
Zhòng? Kěshì wǒmen méiyǒu shuǐ!
Plant it? But we have no water!
- Green Robe 水在山里，在一块大石头下面！
Shuǐ zài shān lǐ, zài yí kuài dà shítou xiàmiàn!
The water is in the mountain, under a big rock!
- Xiao He 那我们快去！
Nà wǒmen kuài qù!
Then let's hurry!
- Black Robe 快去吧。可是，那块石头……很重很重。
Kuài qù ba. Kěshì, nà kuài shítou… hěn zhòng hěn zhòng.
Go quickly. But that rock... is very, very heavy.
