Tom and Daisy come to one of Gatsby's Saturday parties. Gatsby needs Daisy to love it, and Tom is watching everything.

What's so great about a movie star? I'm going over there to get something to eat.

Go ahead, Tom. That girl over there is very pretty. Don't keep her waiting.

Daisy, why did you stop smiling?
- Daisy Buchanan 很多人都喝醉了。尼克，我不喜欢这儿。

So many people are drunk. Nick, I don't like it here.
- Tom Buchanan 我们的车来了。尼克，这个盖茨比是什么人？

Our car's here. Nick, what kind of man is this Gatsby?
- Nick Carraway 他住在我家旁边。别的，你自己去问他吧。

He lives next door to me. Anything else, you'll have to ask him yourself.
- Tom Buchanan 我看，他是偷偷卖酒的。

If you ask me, he's a bootlegger.
- Narrator 那时候，美国不让人卖酒。

In those days, America didn't let anyone sell alcohol.
- Daisy Buchanan 不是！他有很多药店，都是他自己开的。
Bú shì! Tā yǒu hěn duō yàodiàn, dōu shì tā zìjǐ kāi de.
No! He owns a lot of drugstores. He started them all himself.
- Tom Buchanan 药店？好啊。我一定要知道，他到底是谁。
Yàodiàn? Hǎo a. Wǒ yídìng yào zhīdào, tā dàodǐ shì shéi.
Drugstores? Fine. I'm going to find out who he really is.
- Nick Carraway 客人都走了。盖茨比，你怎么还在草地上？
Kèrén dōu zǒu le. Gàicíbǐ, nǐ zěnme hái zài cǎodì shang?
The guests have all gone. Gatsby, why are you still out on the lawn?
- Jay Gatsby 老兄，她今天晚上一点儿也不高兴。
Lǎoxiōng, tā jīntiān wǎnshang yìdiǎnr yě bù gāoxìng.
She didn't enjoy herself at all tonight, old sport.
- Nick Carraway 别这么想。她今天还跟你跳舞了呢。

Don't think that way. She even danced with you tonight.
- Jay Gatsby 她现在不明白我了。以前，她什么都明白。

One night, there was no one else on the street. For the first time, he kissed Daisy.
