The Beautiful Shirts
漂亮的衬衫
Gatsby shows Daisy his huge house, room after room, and a pile of shirts in every color. But one thing outside his window means more to him than all of it.

The rain had stopped. The three of them crossed the lawn to Gatsby's big house.
- Daisy Buchanan 杰伊，这是你的家？真了不起！
Jiéyī, zhè shì nǐ de jiā? Zhēn liǎobuqǐ!
Jay, this is your home? It's amazing!
- Jay Gatsby 我用了三年，才有钱买这座房子。
Wǒ yòng le sān nián, cái yǒu qián mǎi zhè zuò fángzi.
It took me three years to earn the money for this house.

Jay, are there clocks here too? You'd better be careful!
- Nick Carraway 他不紧张了。可是他看着黛西，好像在梦里。

He isn't nervous anymore. But he keeps looking at Daisy, as if he were in a dream.
- Jay Gatsby 我在英国有一个人，给我买衣服。你们看，这些西装，还有衬衫！
Wǒ zài Yīngguó yǒu yí gè rén, gěi wǒ mǎi yīfu. Nǐmen kàn, zhèxiē xīzhuāng, hái yǒu chènshān!
I have a man in England who buys my clothes. Look, all these suits, and the shirts!
- Daisy Buchanan 杰伊，你有多少西装啊？
Jiéyī, nǐ yǒu duōshao xīzhuāng a?
Jay, how many suits do you have?
- Jay Gatsby 你看，这件是红的，这件是绿的，这件是黄的……
Nǐ kàn, zhè jiàn shì hóng de, zhè jiàn shì lǜ de, zhè jiàn shì huáng de…
Look, this one's red, this one's green, this one's yellow...
- Daisy Buchanan 你还要拿多少件衬衫出来啊？
Nǐ hái yào ná duōshao jiàn chènshān chūlai a?
How many more shirts are you going to bring out?
- Jay Gatsby 还有很多呢！你看这件，这是我最喜欢的！
Hái yǒu hěn duō ne! Nǐ kàn zhè jiàn, zhè shì wǒ zuì xǐhuan de!

- Narrator 黛西低下头，在衬衫上哭了起来。
Dàixī dīxià tóu, zài chènshān shang kū le qǐlái.
Daisy bent her head into the shirts and began to cry.
- Daisy Buchanan 我没见过……这么漂亮的衬衫。
Wǒ méi jiànguo… zhème piàoliang de chènshān.
I've never seen... such beautiful shirts.
- Nick Carraway 她为什么哭？是因为衬衫吗？
Tā wèishénme kū? Shì yīnwèi chènshān ma?
Why is she crying? Is it really the shirts?
- Jay Gatsby 又下雨了，看不见了。你家码头那头，有一盏绿灯，一夜都亮着。
Yòu xiàyǔ le, kàn bu jiàn le. Nǐ jiā mǎtou nà tóu, yǒu yì zhǎn lǜdēng, yí yè dōu liàngzhe.
It's raining again, so you can't see it now. At the end of your dock there's a green light that burns all night.
- Daisy Buchanan 你天天晚上……都在看它？
Nǐ tiāntiān wǎnshang… dōu zài kàn tā?
Every night... you've been watching it?
- Nick Carraway 码头那头的绿灯，是黛西家的！可是现在，它又是一盏普通的绿灯了。
Mǎtou nà tóu de lǜdēng, shì Dàixī jiā de! Kěshì xiànzài, tā yòu shì yì zhǎn pǔtōng de lǜdēng le.
The green light at the end of the dock is Daisy's! But now it's just an ordinary green light again.
