A few weeks went by. One Sunday afternoon in August, Nick was at Gatsby's house.

Others say you don't live here at all. You live on a boat.

A boat? Then who is this big house for?

He laughed. But he didn't say it wasn't true.

That big white boat has stopped in the wrong place! Once the wind picks up, it's finished. I have to row out there!

Sir! A big wind is coming! Your boat can't stay here!
- Dan Cody 你这个孩子，一个人划小船过来的？你叫什么名字？

You rowed out here all by yourself in that little boat, kid? What's your name?

James Gatz, the poor kid from North Dakota... No.

- Dan Cody 杰伊·盖茨比？好名字！你划得不错，跟我上船吧！

Jay Gatsby? Good name! You row well. Come aboard with me!

Good boy! When I die, you'll get twenty-five thousand dollars!

Then he was gone. And his money? I never got a single dollar of it.
