Back in the valley of ashes, Wilson has shut his wife upstairs, and as night falls, a car comes fast down the road from New York.

George, you haven't eaten all day. Come on, have a cup of coffee.
- George Wilson 不喝。米凯利斯，我把她关在楼上了。她哪儿也不能去。
Bù hē. Mǐkǎilìsī, wǒ bǎ tā guān zài lóushàng le. Tā nǎr yě bù néng qù.
No. Michaelis, I've shut her in upstairs. She can't go anywhere.

George, your face is all covered in ash. Go and sleep for a while; I'll look after the garage.

Nǐ dǎ wǒ ba! Wǒ bú pà nǐ! Wǒ yào chūqu!
Go on, hit me! I'm not afraid of you! I'm getting out!
- Narrator 快七点了，天黑下来了。茉特尔跑到路上，大声叫着。
Kuài qī diǎn le, tiān hēi xiàlai le. Mòtè'ěr pǎo dào lù shang, dàshēng jiàozhe.
It was nearly seven, and the sky was growing dark. Myrtle ran out into the road, shouting.
- Michaelis 茉特尔，快回来！小心车！路上很黑！
Mòtè'ěr, kuài huílai! Xiǎoxīn chē! Lù shang hěn hēi!
Myrtle, come back! Watch out for cars! The road is dark!
- Narrator 一辆从纽约来的车撞了她。车没有停，很快就开走了。
Yí liàng cóng Niǔyuē lái de chē zhuàng le tā. Chē méiyǒu tíng, hěn kuài jiù kāi zǒu le.
A car coming from New York hit her. It didn't stop, and it was gone in moments.
- Michaelis 她不动了……地上有血。
Tā bú dòng le… dì shang yǒu xuè.
She isn't moving... there's blood on the ground.
- Michaelis 那辆车是什么颜色的？好像是绿的……我也不知道。
Nà liàng chē shì shénme yánsè de? Hǎoxiàng shì lǜ de… wǒ yě bù zhīdào.
What color was that car? Green, I think... I'm not sure.
- Narrator 半个小时以后，汤姆的蓝车开到了这里。路边有很多很多人。
Bàn gè xiǎoshí yǐhòu, Tāngmǔ de lán chē kāi dào le zhèlǐ. Lùbiān yǒu hěn duō hěn duō rén.
Half an hour later, Tom's blue car pulled up there. A big crowd stood by the road.
- Tom Buchanan 前边怎么有这么多人？好啊，威尔逊有生意了！
Qiánbian zěnme yǒu zhème duō rén? Hǎo a, Wēi'ěrxùn yǒu shēngyi le!
Why are there so many people up ahead? Good, Wilson's got some business at last!
- Nick Carraway 汤姆，等一下。好像出事了，你看那些人的脸。
Tāngmǔ, děng yíxià. Hǎoxiàng chū shì le, nǐ kàn nàxiē rén de liǎn.
Tom, wait. Something's happened. Look at their faces.
- George Wilson 茉特尔！你们看看她，她死了！
Mòtè'ěr! Nǐmen kànkan tā, tā sǐ le!
Myrtle! Look at her, she's dead!
- Nick Carraway 桌子上，一块布下边……是茉特尔。那么爱笑的一个人。
Zhuōzi shang, yí kuài bù xiàbian… shì Mòtè'ěr. Nàme ài xiào de yí gè rén.
On the table, under a cloth... it's Myrtle. Someone who loved to laugh so much.
- Michaelis 可怜的乔治，他什么都听不见了。
Kělián de Qiáozhì, tā shénme dōu tīng bu jiàn le.
Poor George, he can't hear anything anymore.
- A Man in the Crowd 是一辆黄色的车，我看见了。很大，很新！
Shì yí liàng huángsè de chē, wǒ kànjiàn le. Hěn dà, hěn xīn!
It was a yellow car, I saw it. A big one, a new one!
- George Wilson 黄色的车……
Huángsè de chē…
A yellow car...
- Tom Buchanan 威尔逊，你听我说！下午我开的那辆黄色的车，不是我的！
Wēi'ěrxùn, nǐ tīng wǒ shuō! Xiàwǔ wǒ kāi de nà liàng huángsè de chē, bú shì wǒ de!
Wilson, listen to me! That yellow car I drove this afternoon wasn't mine!
- Jordan Baker 尼克，我们快走吧。我不想再看了。
Níkè, wǒmen kuài zǒu ba. Wǒ bù xiǎng zài kàn le.
Nick, let's go. I don't want to look anymore.
- Nick Carraway 那是盖茨比的车。黛西和他，就在那辆车上。
Nà shì Gàicíbǐ de chē. Dàixī hé tā, jiù zài nà liàng chē shang.
That's Gatsby's car. He and Daisy were in that car.
- Tom Buchanan 可怜的茉特尔……她什么都没做错。

Poor Myrtle... she didn't do anything wrong.
