Mimi! Mimi! Come here, quick! Daddy has something to tell you!
- Mimi 爸爸，什么事啊？你今天怎么这么高兴？
Bàba, shénme shì a? Nǐ jīntiān zěnme zhème gāoxìng?
What is it, Dad? Why are you so happy today?
- Father Mouse 快过年了。过年的时候，爸爸要把你嫁出去！
Kuài guònián le. Guònián de shíhou, bàba yào bǎ nǐ jià chūqù!
New Year's almost here. And at New Year, I'm going to marry you off!

Grandpa Sun! Grandpa Sun! Hello up there!
- Grandpa Sun 哈哈，早上好！是谁在下边叫我？
Hāhā, zǎoshang hǎo! Shì shéi zài xiàbian jiào wǒ?
Ha ha, good morning! Who's that calling me from down there?
- Father Mouse 是我们，两只小老鼠！您又大又亮，一定是最厉害的！
Shì wǒmen, liǎng zhī xiǎo lǎoshǔ! Nín yòu dà yòu liàng, yídìng shì zuì lìhai de!
It's us, two little mice! You're so big and so bright, you must be the strongest of all!
- Father Mouse 我的女儿米米，嫁给您，好不好？
Wǒ de nǚ'ér Mǐmǐ, jià gěi nín, hǎo bù hǎo?
Would you like to marry my daughter Mimi?
- Mimi 爸爸，我不要嫁给太阳！太热了！
Bàba, wǒ bú yào jià gěi tàiyáng! Tài rè le!
Dad, I don't want to marry the Sun! He's way too hot!

A big white cloud came drifting over, and the Sun really did disappear.
