Trapped in a giant's cave, Odysseus gives the giant wine and a false name. That name is his cleverest trick, until his pride gets him in trouble.

We are Greek sailors, sir. Our ship is damaged, and we only want a little food.

That stone blocks the door. We can't get out. Don't be afraid, I'm thinking of a way.
- The One-Eyed Giant 我今天很饿，也很不高兴。你们里面，有两个人要留在我这儿。
Wǒ jīntiān hěn è, yě hěn bù gāoxìng. Nǐmen lǐmiàn, yǒu liǎng gè rén yào liúzài wǒ zhèr.
I'm hungry today. Two of you are staying right here with me.
- Narrator 巨人拿走了两个水手，他们再也没有回来。山洞里安静得让人害怕。
Jùrén názǒu le liǎng gè shuǐshǒu, tāmen zàiyě méiyǒu huílái. Shāndòng lǐ ānjìng de ràng rén hàipà.
The giant took two sailors, and they never came back. The cave was so quiet it was frightening.
- Odysseus 巨人大人，你喝了那么多羊奶，要不要试试我的酒？这是我们希腊最好的酒。
Jùrén dàrén, nǐ hē le nàme duō yángnǎi, yào búyào shìshì wǒ de jiǔ? Zhè shì wǒmen Xīlà zuìhǎo de jiǔ.
Great giant, you've had so much sheep's milk. Would you like to try my wine?
- The One-Eyed Giant 酒？真好喝！再给我一杯！你叫什么名字？告诉我，我要送你礼物。
Jiǔ? Zhēn hǎohē! Zài gěi wǒ yì bēi! Nǐ jiào shénme míngzi? Gàosù wǒ, wǒ yào sòng nǐ lǐwù.
Wine? Delicious! Give me another cup! What's your name?
- Odysseus 我叫“没人”。
Wǒ jiào “méi rén”.
My name is “Nobody.”
- The One-Eyed Giant 没人……好名字。那我的礼物是：我会最后一个吃你！哈哈哈！
Méi rén… hǎo míngzi. Nà wǒ de lǐwù shì: wǒ huì zuìhòu yí gè chī nǐ! Hāhāhā!
Nobody... nice name. I'll give you a gift: I'll eat you last! Ha ha ha!
- The One-Eyed Giant 我……好困……我要睡了……
Wǒ… hǎokùn… wǒ yào shuì le…
I... so sleepy... I'm going to sleep...
- The Sailor 他睡着了！
Tā shuìzháo le!
He's asleep!
- Odysseus 快！把那根木头放进火里烧红。然后我们一起，把它放到他的眼睛里。
Kuài! Bǎ nà gēn mùtou fàngjìn huǒ lǐ shāo hóng. Ránhòu wǒmen yìqǐ, bǎ tā fàngdào tā de yǎnjīng lǐ.
Quick! Put that wooden pole in the fire until it glows. Then together we push it into his eye.
- The One-Eyed Giant 啊！我的眼睛！救命啊！
A! Wǒ de yǎnjīng! Jiùmìng a!
Ahh! My eye! Help!
- The Other Giants 喂，大半夜的，你怎么了？出了什么事？谁在害你？
Wèi, dàbànyè de, nǐ zěnme le? Chū le shénme shì? Shéi zài hài nǐ?
Hey, in the middle of the night, what's wrong? Who is hurting you?
- The One-Eyed Giant 没人！没人害我！没人弄坏了我的眼睛！
Méi rén! Méi rén hài wǒ! Méi rén nònghuài le wǒ de yǎnjīng!
Nobody! Nobody is hurting me! Nobody broke my eye!
- The Other Giants 没人害你？那你叫什么叫？回去睡觉！
Méi rén hài nǐ? Nà nǐ jiào shénme jiào? Huíqù shuìjiào!
Nobody is hurting you? Then why are you yelling? Go back to sleep!
- The Sailor 没人害他！哈哈哈！奥德修斯，你真是太聪明了！
Méi rén hài tā! Hāhāhā! Àodéxiūsī, nǐ zhēn shì tài cōngmíng le!
Nobody is hurting him! Odysseus, you are so clever!
- Narrator 天亮了。羊一只一只走出山洞，水手们躺在羊的肚子下面，悄悄地跟着出去了。
Tiānliàng le. Yáng yì zhī yì zhī zǒuchū shāndòng, shuǐshǒumen tǎng zài yáng de dǔzi xiàmiàn, qiāoqiāode gēnzhe chūqù le.
Morning came. The sheep walked out of the cave one by one, and the sailors, lying under their bellies, slipped quietly out with them.
- The Sailor 好羊，好羊，别叫……我们只是你身上的毛。
Hǎo yáng, hǎo yáng, bié jiào… wǒmen zhǐshì nǐ shēnshàng de máo.
Good sheep, good sheep, don't bleat... we're just your wool.
- Odysseus 快！上船，快划！
Kuài! Shàngchuán, kuài huá!
Quick! Onto the ship, and row!
- The Sailor 我们跑出来了！我们活着出来了！奥德修斯，我们真的做到了！
Wǒmen pǎo chūlái le! Wǒmen huózhe chūlái le! Àodéxiūsī, wǒmen zhēnde zuòdào le!
We got out! Odysseus, we really did it!
- Odysseus 巨人！你听着！是我，伊萨卡的奥德修斯，弄坏了你的眼睛！
Jùrén! Nǐ tīng zhe! Shì wǒ, Yīsàkǎ de Àodéxiūsī, nònghuài le nǐ de yǎnjīng!
Giant! Listen! It was me, Odysseus of Ithaca, who broke your eye!

Are you crazy? Don't tell him your name!

Wǒ yào ràng tā zhīdào, shì shéi yíng le tā. Zhè shì wǒ yīngdé de!
I want him to know who beat him.
- The One-Eyed Giant 我的父亲，海神啊！请你听我说！
Wǒ de fùqīn, hǎishén a! Qǐng nǐ tīng wǒ shuō!
My father, god of the sea! Please hear me!
- The One-Eyed Giant 别让奥德修斯回家！如果他一定要回去，让他走很多年，回家的时候，一个朋友也没有！
Bié ràng Àodéxiūsī huíjiā! Rúguǒ tā yídìng yào huíqù, ràng tā zǒu hěnduō nián, huíjiā de shíhòu, yí gè péngyǒu yě méiyǒu!
Don't let Odysseus go home! If he must go, make him wander for many years, and let him come home with not one friend left!
- Odysseus 我是不是……把自己的名字，说得太早了？
Wǒ shì bú shì… bǎ zìjǐ de míngzi, shuō de tài zǎo le?
Did I... say too much?
- The Sailor 你看，海……变黑了。海神听到了。
Nǐ kàn, hǎi… biànhēi le. Hǎishén tīngdào le.
Look, the sea... is turning dark. The sea god heard him.
