Dawn carries Odysseus, alone on two tied logs, straight back to Charybdis, and this time there is no ship to row him past her.

Kǎlǜbùdísī, nǐ mànmàn hē. Wǒ bù jí.
Take your time drinking, Charybdis. I'm in no hurry.
- Narrator 他抓着那棵树，从早上到晚上。
Tā zhuāzhe nà kē shù, cóng zǎoshang dào wǎnshang.
He hung on to that tree from morning until evening.
- Odysseus 我的手好累……可是放手，我就死了。
Wǒ de shǒu hǎo lèi… kěshì fàngshǒu, wǒ jiù sǐ le.
My hands are so tired... but if I let go, I'm dead.
- Odysseus 海水出来了！我的木头也回来了！
Hǎishuǐ chūlai le! Wǒ de mùtou yě huílai le!
The water's coming back up! My logs are back too!
- Narrator 他回到木头上，走远了。斯库拉没有看见他。
Tā huí dào mùtou shang, zǒu yuǎn le. Sīkùlā méiyǒu kànjiàn tā.
He dropped back onto the logs and drifted away. Scylla never saw him.
- Odysseus 九天了……没有吃的，也没有喝的。
Jiǔ tiān le… méiyǒu chī de, yě méiyǒu hē de.
Nine days now... nothing to eat, nothing to drink.
- Narrator 第十天晚上，他到了女神卡吕普索的岛。

On the tenth night, he reached the island of the goddess Calypso.
- Calypso 这么晚了，海边怎么有一个人？你是谁？
Zhème wǎn le, hǎibiān zěnme yǒu yí gè rén? Nǐ shì shéi?
It's so late. Why is there a man on the shore? Who are you?
- Odysseus 我叫奥德修斯。我的朋友们……现在都是鬼了。
Wǒ jiào Àodéxiūsī. Wǒ de péngyoumen… xiànzài dōu shì guǐ le.
My name is Odysseus. My friends... they're all ghosts now.
- Calypso 别说了。来，吃点儿东西，睡吧。
Bié shuō le. Lái, chī diǎnr dōngxi, shuì ba.
Say no more. Come, eat something, and sleep.
- Odysseus 女神，谢谢你。我好了，我得走了。
Nǚshén, xièxie nǐ. Wǒ hǎo le, wǒ děi zǒu le.
Thank you, goddess. I'm well now. I must go.
- Calypso 留下吧，奥德修斯。我想做你的妻子。
Liúxià ba, Àodéxiūsī. Wǒ xiǎng zuò nǐ de qīzi.
Stay, Odysseus. I want to be your wife.
- Calypso 在这儿，你不会老，也不会死。
Zài zhèr, nǐ bú huì lǎo, yě bú huì sǐ.
Here, you'll never grow old, and you'll never die.
- Odysseus 你对我很好。可是……我要回家。
Nǐ duì wǒ hěn hǎo. Kěshì… wǒ yào huí jiā.
You've been very good to me. But... I want to go home.
- Calypso 回家？你没有船，怎么回去？
Huí jiā? Nǐ méiyǒu chuán, zěnme huíqu?
Home? You have no ship. How would you get there?
- Narrator 七年过去了。
Qī nián guòqù le.
Seven years went by.
- Calypso 你又在石头上哭？天天这样！
Nǐ yòu zài shítou shang kū? Tiāntiān zhèyàng!
Crying on the rocks again? Every single day!
- Calypso 你再哭，海就要满了！
Nǐ zài kū, hǎi jiù yào mǎn le!
Keep crying, and the sea will overflow!
- Odysseus 海的那边，是伊萨卡。可是我看不见。
Hǎi de nàbiān, shì Yīsàkǎ. Kěshì wǒ kàn bu jiàn.
Across the sea is Ithaca. But I can't see it.
- Odysseus 我的儿子，现在快二十岁了。他知道爸爸的样子吗？
Wǒ de érzi, xiànzài kuài èrshí suì le. Tā zhīdào bàba de yàngzi ma?
My son must be almost twenty now. Does he even know what his father looks like?
- Odysseus 很多人会向我的妻子求婚……孩子，你一个人怎么办？
