That afternoon, Odysseus and his twelve sailors were still waiting in the great cave.
- A Sailor 奥德修斯，这儿有吃的，有奶，还有很多小羊。
Àodéxiūsī, zhèr yǒu chī de, yǒu nǎi, hái yǒu hěn duō xiǎo yáng.
Odysseus, there's food here, and milk, and lots of lambs.
- The Crew 我们拿一些，快走吧！
Wǒmen ná yìxiē, kuài zǒu ba!
Let's take some and get out of here!
- Odysseus 不，我要看看主人是谁。
Bù, wǒ yào kànkan zhǔrén shì shéi.
No. I want to see who the owner is.
- Odysseus 主人回来，也许会给我们礼物。
Zhǔrén huílai, yěxǔ huì gěi wǒmen lǐwù.
When the owner comes back, he may give us a gift.
- A Sailor 礼物？我就想要一只小羊！
Lǐwù? Wǒ jiù xiǎng yào yì zhī xiǎo yáng!
A gift? I'd be happy with one lamb!
- Odysseus 别动！他回来了。
Bié dòng! Tā huílai le.
Don't move! He's back.
- Narrator 晚上，一个很大很大的巨人走进山洞，放下了很多木头。
Wǎnshang, yí gè hěn dà hěn dà de jùrén zǒu jìn shāndòng, fàngxià le hěn duō mùtou.
That evening, an enormous giant walked into the cave and dropped a great load of wood.
- The Cyclops 我的羊，进来吧。
Wǒ de yáng, jìnlai ba.
In you come, my sheep.
- Narrator 巨人推来一块很大的石头，放在门口。
Jùrén tuīlai yí kuài hěn dà de shítou, fàng zài ménkǒu.
The giant rolled a huge stone over and set it in the doorway.
- A Sailor 我说了要快走！这么大的石头，我们出不去了！
Wǒ shuō le yào kuài zǒu! Zhème dà de shítou, wǒmen chū bu qù le!
I said we should go! A stone that big, and now we can't get out!
- Odysseus 你说得对。
Nǐ shuō de duì.
You were right.
- Odysseus 他点了火。我们看见的烟，就是从这儿来的。
Tā diǎn le huǒ. Wǒmen kànjiàn de yān, jiù shì cóng zhèr lái de.
He's lighting a fire. The smoke we saw came from here.
- A Sailor 我害怕！他那只大眼睛在看我们！
Wǒ hàipà! Tā nà zhī dà yǎnjing zài kàn wǒmen!
I'm scared! That great eye of his is looking at us!
- The Cyclops 你们是谁？从哪儿来？
Nǐmen shì shéi? Cóng nǎr lái?
Who are you? Where do you come from?
- Odysseus 我们是希腊人，从特洛伊来，要回家。
Wǒmen shì Xīlàrén, cóng Tèluòyī lái, yào huí jiā.
We are Greeks, from Troy, on our way home.
- Odysseus 请您帮帮我们。客人是宙斯送来的。
Qǐng nín bāngbang wǒmen. Kèrén shì Zhòusī sònglai de.
Please help us. Strangers come from Zeus.
- The Cyclops 宙斯？我们不怕宙斯，也不怕别的神！
Zhòusī? Wǒmen bú pà Zhòusī, yě bú pà bié de shén!
Zeus? We don't fear Zeus, or any other god!
- The Cyclops 你们的船在哪儿？
Nǐmen de chuán zài nǎr?
Where's your ship?
- Odysseus 不能告诉他。我要骗他。
Bù néng gàosu tā. Wǒ yào piàn tā.
I mustn't tell him. I'll have to trick him.
- Odysseus 海神打坏了我们的船。我们没有船了。
Hǎishén dǎhuài le wǒmen de chuán. Wǒmen méiyǒu chuán le.
The sea god smashed our ship. We have no ship now.
- Narrator 巨人没有回答。他抓了两个水手，吃了他们。
Jùrén méiyǒu huídá. Tā zhuā le liǎng gè shuǐshǒu, chī le tāmen.
The giant didn't answer. He grabbed two of the sailors and ate them.
- The Crew 宙斯啊，帮帮我们！
Zhòusī a, bāngbang wǒmen!
Zeus, help us!
- The Cyclops 我吃饱了。现在，睡觉。
Wǒ chībǎo le. Xiànzài, shuìjiào.
I'm full. Now, sleep.
- Narrator 巨人在羊中间睡着了。奥德修斯拿出了他的剑。
Jùrén zài yáng zhōngjiān shuìzháo le. Àodéxiūsī náchū le tā de jiàn.
The giant fell asleep among his sheep. Odysseus drew his sword.
- Odysseus 好。我现在就杀了他！
Hǎo. Wǒ xiànzài jiù shā le tā!
Good. I'll kill him right now!
- A Sailor 快！用你的剑！
Kuài! Yòng nǐ de jiàn!
Quick! Use your sword!
- Odysseus 等一下。门口那块石头，二十二辆车也拉不动……
Děng yíxià. Ménkǒu nà kuài shítou, èrshí'èr liàng chē yě lā bu dòng…
Wait. That stone in the doorway... twenty-two wagons couldn't move it...
- Odysseus 他死了，谁推得动它？
Tā sǐ le, shéi tuī de dòng tā?
If he dies, who can move it?
- A Sailor 那我们……就跟他在这儿，等到天亮？
Nà wǒmen… jiù gēn tā zài zhèr, děngdào tiān liàng?
Then we... just wait in here with him till morning?
