The Sea God's Son
海神的儿子
The blind giant waits in the doorway with his hands out, and six men and their king must find a way past him before dawn.

- Odysseus 天还没亮。他坐在门口，可是他看不见。
Tiān hái méi liàng. Tā zuò zài ménkǒu, kěshì tā kàn bu jiàn.
It's not light yet. He's sitting in the doorway, but he can't see.
- A Sailor 他的手在摸！谁走过，他都知道。
Tā de shǒu zài mō! Shéi zǒu guò, tā dōu zhīdào.
His hands are feeling about! Anyone who goes past, he'll know.
- Odysseus 他摸羊的背。我们不在背上，在羊下边。
Tā mō yáng de bèi. Wǒmen bú zài bèi shang, zài yáng xiàbian.
He feels the sheep's backs. We won't be on their backs. We'll be under them.

Tie three big sheep together, and hide a man under the middle one.
- A Sailor 羊带我们出去？你真聪明！那你呢？
Yáng dài wǒmen chūqu? Nǐ zhēn cōngming! Nà nǐ ne?
The sheep carry us out? That's clever! What about you?
- Odysseus 我？最大的那只羊，是我的。
Wǒ? Zuì dà de nà zhī yáng, shì wǒ de.
Me? The biggest one is mine.
- Narrator 早上，羊一只一只走出了山洞。
Zǎoshang, yáng yì zhī yì zhī zǒuchū le shāndòng.
In the morning, the sheep walked out of the cave one by one.
- The Cyclops 一只，两只，三只……背上没有人。
Yì zhī, liǎng zhī, sān zhī… bèi shang méiyǒu rén.
One, two, three... nobody on their backs.
- The Cyclops 我的大羊，你今天怎么最后一个出来？
Wǒ de dà yáng, nǐ jīntiān zěnme zuìhòu yí gè chūlai?
My big ram, why are you the last one out today?
- The Cyclops 你也难过吗？因为我的眼睛？
Nǐ yě nánguò ma? Yīnwèi wǒ de yǎnjing?
Are you sad too? Because of my eye?
- The Cyclops 你能说话就好了。你会告诉我，没有人藏在哪儿。
Nǐ néng shuōhuà jiù hǎo le. Nǐ huì gàosu wǒ, méiyǒu rén cáng zài nǎr.
If only you could talk. You'd tell me where Nobody is hiding.
- Odysseus 大羊，快走……别停。
Dà yáng, kuài zǒu… bié tíng.
Go on, big ram... don't stop.
- Narrator 出了山洞，他们带着羊，跑到了船边。
Chū le shāndòng, tāmen dàizhe yáng, pǎodào le chuán biān.
Out of the cave, they drove the sheep down to the ship at a run.
- The Crew 你们回来了！别的人呢？
Nǐmen huílai le! Bié de rén ne?
You're back! Where are the others?
- Odysseus 他们不会回来了。快，上船！开船！
Tāmen bú huì huílai le. Kuài, shàng chuán! Kāi chuán!
They're not coming back. Quick, get aboard! Row!
- Odysseus 巨人！你吃客人，不怕神。现在你看不见了吧！
Jùrén! Nǐ chī kèrén, bú pà shén. Xiànzài nǐ kàn bu jiàn le ba!
Giant! You eat your guests and you don't fear the gods. Now you can't see, can you?
- A Sailor 他扔了一块小山一样大的石头！船回到海边了！
Tā rēng le yí kuài xiǎo shān yíyàng dà de shítou! Chuán huí dào hǎibiān le!
He's thrown a rock as big as a hill! The ship's been pushed back to the shore!
- The Crew 奥德修斯，别说了！他还会扔的！
Àodéxiūsī, bié shuō le! Tā hái huì rēng de!
Odysseus, stop talking! He'll throw again!
- Odysseus 巨人，听着！是伊萨卡的奥德修斯，让你看不见的！
Jùrén, tīngzhe! Shì Yīsàkǎ de Àodéxiūsī, ràng nǐ kàn bu jiàn de!
Listen, giant! It was Odysseus of Ithaca who took your sight!
- The Cyclops 奥德修斯？很久以前，一个老人说过这个名字。
Àodéxiūsī? Hěn jiǔ yǐqián, yí gè lǎorén shuōguo zhège míngzi.
Odysseus? Long ago, an old man spoke that name.
- The Cyclops 他说你会让我看不见。我以为你很大，可是你这么小！
Tā shuō nǐ huì ràng wǒ kàn bu jiàn. Wǒ yǐwéi nǐ hěn dà, kěshì nǐ zhème xiǎo!
He said you would take my sight. I thought you'd be huge, but you're so small!
- The Cyclops 海神，我的爸爸，听我说！别让奥德修斯回家！
Hǎishén, wǒ de bàba, tīng wǒ shuō! Bié ràng Àodéxiūsī huí jiā!
Sea god, my father, hear me! Don't let Odysseus get home!
- The Cyclops 如果他能回家，也让他很晚才到！他的人，一个也回不去！
Rúguǒ tā néng huí jiā, yě ràng tā hěn wǎn cái dào! Tā de rén, yí gè yě huí bu qù!
If he does get home, let him get there late! And let not one of his men get back!
- The Cyclops 让他一个人，坐别人的船回家。家里，也有坏事等着他！
Ràng tā yí gè rén, zuò biérén de chuán huí jiā. Jiā li, yě yǒu huàishì děngzhe tā!
Let him come home alone, on another man's ship. And let trouble be waiting for him at home!
