The prince wanted to get married. He wanted a real princess, not a fake one.
- The Prince 爸爸，妈妈！我要一个真公主！现在就要！
Bàba, māma! Wǒ yào yí gè zhēn gōngzhǔ! Xiànzài jiù yào!
Father, Mother! I want a real princess! Right now!
- The King 真公主？公主很多，很多啊！
Zhēn gōngzhǔ? Gōngzhǔ hěn duō, hěn duō a!
A real princess? There are lots and lots of princesses!
- The Prince 不一样！很多公主是假的！我要真的！
Bù yíyàng! Hěn duō gōngzhǔ shì jiǎ de! Wǒ yào zhēn de!
It's not the same! Lots of princesses are fake! I want a real one!
- The Queen 那你怎么知道，她不是假公主？
Nà nǐ zěnme zhīdào, tā bú shì jiǎ gōngzhǔ?
Then how will you know she's not a fake princess?
- The Prince 我不知道。可是我一看，就会知道！
Wǒ bù zhīdào. Kěshì wǒ yí kàn, jiù huì zhīdào!
I don't know. But once I see her, I'll know!
- The King 好。今天有两个公主要来看你。
Hǎo. Jīntiān yǒu liǎng gè gōngzhǔ yào lái kàn nǐ.
All right. Two princesses are coming to see you today.
- The Queen 你们看，门开了！她们来了！
Nǐmen kàn, mén kāi le! Tāmen lái le!
Look, the door is opening! Here they come!
- Princess Loud 王子！你好！我是大声公主！你好啊！！
Wángzǐ! Nǐ hǎo! Wǒ shì Dàshēng gōngzhǔ! Nǐ hǎo a!!
Prince! Hello! I am Princess Loud! Hellooo!!
- The Prince 啊！请小声一点，好吗？
À! Qǐng xiǎoshēng yìdiǎn, hǎo ma?
Ah! Could you please be a little quieter?
- Princess Loud 什么？我听不到！你大声一点说！
Shénme? Wǒ tīng bú dào! Nǐ dàshēng yìdiǎn shuō!
What? I can't hear you! Speak up!
- The Prince 我的头好疼……她不是真公主。
Wǒ de tóu hǎo téng… Tā bú shì zhēn gōngzhǔ.
My head really hurts... She's not a real princess.
- Princess Loud 王子，你喜欢我吗？喜欢吗？喜欢吗？
Wángzǐ, nǐ xǐhuan wǒ ma? Xǐhuan ma? Xǐhuan ma?
Prince, do you like me? Do you? Do you?
- The Prince 谢谢你来。再见，大声公主！
Xièxie nǐ lái. Zàijiàn, Dàshēng gōngzhǔ!

- Princess Hungry 王子，你好！你家有吃的吗？我饿了。
Wángzǐ, nǐ hǎo! Nǐ jiā yǒu chī de ma? Wǒ è le.
Prince, hello! Do you have anything to eat? I'm hungry.
- Princess Hungry 我要吃肉，吃鱼，还要吃米饭！
Wǒ yào chī ròu, chī yú, hái yào chī mǐfàn!
I want meat, fish, and rice too!
- The Prince 你今天早上，没有吃饭吗？
Nǐ jīntiān zǎoshang, méiyǒu chī fàn ma?
Didn't you eat this morning?
- Princess Hungry 吃了三次！可是我现在又饿了。
Chī le sān cì! Kěshì wǒ xiànzài yòu è le.
Three times! But now I'm hungry again.
- The Prince 你很好玩。可是，你也不是真公主。
Nǐ hěn hǎowán. Kěshì, nǐ yě bú shì zhēn gōngzhǔ.
You're fun. But you're not a real princess either.
- Princess Hungry 好吧。那我去找吃的了！
Hǎo ba. Nà wǒ qù zhǎo chī de le!
Oh well. Then I'm off to find some food!
- The Prince 两个都不是……我今天不高兴。
Liǎng gè dōu bú shì… Wǒ jīntiān bù gāoxìng.
Neither one... I'm not happy today.
- The Queen 别急，孩子。真公主一定会来的。
Bié jí, háizi. Zhēn gōngzhǔ yídìng huì lái de.
Don't worry, child. A real princess will surely come.
- The Prince 我找了一年。一个真公主也没有！
Wǒ zhǎo le yì nián. Yí gè zhēn gōngzhǔ yě méiyǒu!
I've looked for a year. Not one real princess!
- The King 你们听！外边下大雨了！雨好大！
Nǐmen tīng! Wàibian xià dàyǔ le! Yǔ hǎo dà!
Listen, everyone! It's pouring outside! What rain!
- The Prince 这么晚了，谁会在外边走路？
Zhème wǎn le, shéi huì zài wàibian zǒulù?
So late at night. Who would be out walking in this?
- The Princess 有人吗？请开开门！我在外边！
Yǒu rén ma? Qǐng kāikai mén! Wǒ zài wàibian!
Is anyone there? Please open the door! I'm out here!
- The King 门口有人！快去看看！
Ménkǒu yǒu rén! Kuài qù kànkan!
Someone's at the door! Go and look!
- The Prince 我去开门！等一下！
Wǒ qù kāi mén! Děng yíxià!
I'll get it! Hold on!
- The Princess 我是一个公主！请让我进去，好吗？
Wǒ shì yí gè gōngzhǔ! Qǐng ràng wǒ jìnqù, hǎo ma?
