Really! I came from far away, and my carriage broke.
- The Prince 你的鞋也湿了。里面有水吗？
Nǐ de xié yě shī le. Lǐmiàn yǒu shuǐ ma?
Your shoes are wet too. Is there water inside?
- The Princess 是啊！我走路，鞋会唱歌！
Shì a! Wǒ zǒulù, xié huì chànggē!
Yes! When I walk, my shoes sing!
- The Queen 快进来！你的手好冷，快坐下。
Kuài jìnlái! Nǐ de shǒu hǎo lěng, kuài zuò xià.
Come in quickly! Your hands are so cold. Sit down.
- The Queen 她真是公主吗？我们看看。
Tā zhēn shì gōngzhǔ ma? Wǒmen kànkan.
Is she really a princess? Let's take a look.
- The Princess 谢谢您，王后！我又饿又累。
Xièxie nín, wánghòu! Wǒ yòu è yòu lèi.
Thank you, Your Majesty! I'm so hungry and tired.
- The Queen 国王，你看！一个小小的豌豆！
Guówáng, nǐ kàn! Yí gè xiǎoxiǎo de wāndòu!
King, look! One teeny little pea!
- The King 豌豆？你要拿它做什么？
Wāndòu? Nǐ yào ná tā zuò shénme?
A pea? What are you going to do with it?
- The Queen 我把它放在床上，再放二十个床垫！
Wǒ bǎ tā fàng zài chuáng shang, zài fàng èrshí gè chuángdiàn!
I'll put it on the bed, then twenty mattresses on top!
- The King 二十个？！床那么高，她怎么上去？
Èrshí gè?! Chuáng nàme gāo, tā zěnme shàngqù?
Twenty?! The bed will be so tall. How will she climb up?
- The Queen 她可以用小椅子。我有办法！
Tā kěyǐ yòng xiǎo yǐzi. Wǒ yǒu bànfǎ!
She can use a little chair. I have a plan!
- The King 可是，你为什么要放一个豌豆？
Kěshì, nǐ wèishénme yào fàng yí gè wāndòu?
But why would you put a pea there?
- The Queen 真公主什么都能感觉到。小豌豆她也知道。
Zhēn gōngzhǔ shénme dōu néng gǎnjué dào. Xiǎo wāndòu tā yě zhīdào.
A real princess can feel everything. She'd know even a little pea.
- The King 哈哈！你真有办法！我喜欢！
Hāhā! Nǐ zhēn yǒu bànfǎ! Wǒ xǐhuan!
Ha ha! You really have a plan! I love it!
- The Queen 快！帮我拿床垫。一，二，三，走！
Kuài! Bāng wǒ ná chuángdiàn. Yī, èr, sān, zǒu!
Quick! Help me carry the mattresses. One, two, three, go!
- The Princess 天啊，这张床好高啊！我怕高！
Tiān a, zhè zhāng chuáng hǎo gāo a! Wǒ pà gāo!
Oh my, this bed is so tall! I'm afraid of heights!
- The Queen 用这个小椅子，慢一点。小心！
Yòng zhège xiǎo yǐzi, màn yìdiǎn. Xiǎoxīn!
Use this little chair, and go slowly. Careful!
- The Princess 我上来了！我在天上了！好高啊！
Wǒ shàng lái le! Wǒ zài tiān shang le! Hǎo gāo a!
I made it up! I'm up in the sky!
- The Prince 睡个好觉，公主。明天早上见！
Shuì gè hǎo jiào, gōngzhǔ. Míngtiān zǎoshang jiàn!
Sleep well, Princess. See you in the morning!
- The Princess 明天见，王子！晚安，王后！
Míngtiān jiàn, Wángzǐ! Wǎn'ān, wánghòu!
See you tomorrow, Prince! Good night, Your Majesty!
- The Queen 明天早上，我们就都知道了。
Míngtiān zǎoshang, wǒmen jiù dōu zhīdào le.
Tomorrow morning, we'll all know.
- The Princess 怎么回事？这张床……有一点硬。
Zěnme huí shì? Zhè zhāng chuáng… yǒu yìdiǎn yìng.
