小猪，小猪
Three little pigs set out to build houses of their own: one of straw, one of sticks and one of bricks. At sundown, someone knocks at the straw house door.

Hěn jiǔ hěn jiǔ yǐqián, yǒu sān zhī xiǎo zhū. Tāmen hé Zhū Māma zhù zài yìqǐ.
Long, long ago, there were three little pigs. They lived with Mother Pig.
- Mother Pig 孩子们，你们长大了。今天，你们要去盖自己的房子了！
Háizimen, nǐmen zhǎngdà le. Jīntiān, nǐmen yào qù gài zìjǐ de fángzi le!
Children, you're all grown up now. Today you're going out to build houses of your own!
- Little Brother Pig 自己的房子？太好了！我要盖一个最好的房子！
Zìjǐ de fángzi? Tài hǎo le! Wǒ yào gài yí gè zuì hǎo de fángzi!
A house of our own? Wonderful! I'm going to build the best house ever!
- Big Brother Pig 盖房子？好累啊……妈妈，我可以先睡一会儿吗？
Gài fángzi? Hǎo lèi a… Māma, wǒ kěyǐ xiān shuì yíhuìr ma?
Build a house? That sounds so tiring… Mom, can I take a little nap first?
- Middle Brother Pig 我可以先吃饭吗？我饿了！
Wǒ kěyǐ xiān chīfàn ma? Wǒ è le!
Can I eat first? I'm hungry!
- Mother Pig 记住，外边有一只大灰狼。他最爱吃小猪！
Jìzhù, wàibian yǒu yì zhī dà huī láng. Tā zuì ài chī xiǎo zhū!
Remember, there's a Big Bad Wolf out there. His favorite food is little pigs!
- Little Brother Pig 妈妈，放心吧。我的房子，大灰狼一定进不来！
Māma, fàngxīn ba. Wǒ de fángzi, dà huī láng yídìng jìn bù lái!
Don't worry, Mom. The Big Bad Wolf will never get into my house!
- Narrator 三只小猪出门了。他们找到了草、树枝和砖。
Sān zhī xiǎo zhū chūmén le. Tāmen zhǎodào le cǎo, shùzhī hé zhuān.
The three little pigs set off, and they found straw, sticks and bricks.
- Big Brother Pig 这么多草！我用草盖房子，中午就能睡觉了！
Zhème duō cǎo! Wǒ yòng cǎo gài fángzi, zhōngwǔ jiù néng shuìjiào le!
Look at all this straw! I'll build my house with straw, and I can be asleep by noon!
- Middle Brother Pig 草太轻了。我用树枝盖，树枝比草好！
Cǎo tài qīng le. Wǒ yòng shùzhī gài, shùzhī bǐ cǎo hǎo!
Straw's too flimsy. I'll build with sticks. Sticks are better than straw!
- Little Brother Pig 我不要草，也不要树枝。我要用砖盖房子！
Wǒ bú yào cǎo, yě bú yào shùzhī. Wǒ yào yòng zhuān gài fángzi!
I don't want straw, and I don't want sticks. I'm going to build my house with bricks!
- Big Brother Pig 砖？砖很重啊！你要盖多长时间？
Zhuān? Zhuān hěn zhòng a! Nǐ yào gài duō cháng shíjiān?
Bricks? Bricks are heavy! How long is that going to take you?
- Little Brother Pig 慢一点儿没关系。要盖，就盖最好的！
Màn yìdiǎnr méi guānxi. Yào gài, jiù gài zuì hǎo de!
Slow is fine. If you're going to build, build the best!
- Narrator 中午，猪大哥的草房子，猪二哥的树枝房子，都盖好了。
Zhōngwǔ, Zhū Dàgē de cǎo fángzi, Zhū Èrgē de shùzhī fángzi, dōu gài hǎo le.
By noon, Big Brother's straw house and Middle Brother's stick house were both finished.
- Big Brother Pig 哈哈，我是第一！现在，睡觉！
Hāhā, wǒ shì dì yī! Xiànzài, shuìjiào!
Ha ha, I'm first! And now… nap time!
- Middle Brother Pig 我是第二！现在，吃面包！
Wǒ shì dì èr! Xiànzài, chī miànbāo!
I'm second! And now… bread time!
- Middle Brother Pig 小弟，你的砖房子呢？什么时候盖好？明年吗？
Xiǎodì, nǐ de zhuān fángzi ne? Shénme shíhou gài hǎo? Míngnián ma?
Little Brother, where's your brick house? When will it be done? Next year?
- Little Brother Pig 你们笑吧。大灰狼来了，你们就不笑了。
Nǐmen xiào ba. Dà huī láng lái le, nǐmen jiù bú xiào le.
Go ahead and laugh. When the Big Bad Wolf comes, you won't be laughing.
- Little Brother Pig 太阳下山了……我的砖房子，盖好了！
Tàiyáng xià shān le… wǒ de zhuān fángzi, gài hǎo le!
The sun's going down… and my brick house is finished!
- Narrator 这时候，大灰狼来到了草房子门口。
Zhè shíhou, dà huī láng láidào le cǎo fángzi ménkǒu.
Just then, the Big Bad Wolf came to the door of the straw house.
- The Big Bad Wolf 小猪，小猪，让我进来！
Xiǎo zhū, xiǎo zhū, ràng wǒ jìnlái!
Little pig, little pig, let me in!
- Big Brother Pig 谁啊？我在睡觉呢……
Shéi a? Wǒ zài shuìjiào ne…
Who's there? I'm napping…
- The Big Bad Wolf 我是你的好朋友啊。快开门吧！
Wǒ shì nǐ de hǎo péngyou a. Kuài kāimén ba!
It's me, your good friend! Come on, open the door!
- Big Brother Pig 好朋友？我的朋友，没有这么大的嘴！你是大灰狼！
Hǎo péngyou? Wǒ de péngyou, méiyǒu zhème dà de zuǐ! Nǐ shì dà huī láng!
My good friend? None of my friends has a mouth that big! You're the Big Bad Wolf!
- Big Brother Pig 不开！不开！就不开！
Bù kāi! Bù kāi! Jiù bù kāi!
No! No! I won't open up!
- The Big Bad Wolf 不开？那我就吹啊吹，吹倒你的房子！
Bù kāi? Nà wǒ jiù chuī a chuī, chuī dǎo nǐ de fángzi!
You won't? Then I'll blow and I'll blow, and I'll blow your house down!
- Narrator 大灰狼吹啊吹，吹啊吹……草房子倒了！
Dà huī láng chuī a chuī, chuī a chuī… cǎo fángzi dǎo le!
The Big Bad Wolf blew and blew, and blew and blew… and down came the straw house!
- Big Brother Pig 我的房子！快跑！去二弟家！

Run, then! One little pig, two little pigs… Tonight I'll have two for supper!
