Pandora is told never to open a little box, but the box whispers to her. When she peeks, something flies out.

Hěn jiǔ yǐqián, zài Xīlà, yǒu yí gè nǚhái, jiào Pānduōlā.
Long ago in Greece, there was a girl named Pandora.
- Hermes 潘多拉！这是你的新家！我要迟到了！
Pānduōlā! Zhè shì nǐ de xīn jiā! Wǒ yào chídào le!
Pandora! This is your new home! I'm going to be late!
- Pandora 这个大房子是我的？太漂亮了！我好喜欢！
Zhège dà fángzi shì wǒ de? Tài piàoliang le! Wǒ hǎo xǐhuan!
This big house is mine? It's so beautiful! I love it!
- Epimetheus 欢迎！我叫爱比米修斯。我是你的朋友。
Huānyíng! Wǒ jiào Àibǐmǐxiūsī. Wǒ shì nǐ de péngyou.
Welcome! I'm Epimetheus. I'm your friend.
- Hermes 还有一个盒子。不要打开它！
Hái yǒu yí gè hézi. Bú yào dǎkāi tā!
And there's a box. Do not open it!
- Pandora 为什么不能打开？里面有什么？
Wèishénme bù néng dǎkāi? Lǐmiàn yǒu shénme?
Why can't I open it? What's inside?
- Hermes 我不知道！神说，不要开。再见！
Wǒ bù zhīdào! Shén shuō, bú yào kāi. Zàijiàn!
I don't know! The gods say don't open it. Bye!
- Epimetheus 好，我们不开。来，我们去吃饭！
Hǎo, wǒmen bù kāi. Lái, wǒmen qù chīfàn!
Fine, we won't. Come on, let's go eat!
- Pandora 不要开……不要开……可是里面有什么呢？
Bú yào kāi… bú yào kāi… Kěshì lǐmiàn yǒu shénme ne?
Don't open it... don't open it... but what could be inside?
- Narrator 三天过去了。潘多拉每天都看那个盒子。
Sān tiān guòqù le. Pānduōlā měi tiān dōu kàn nàge hézi.
Three days went by. Every day Pandora looked at the box.
- Pandora 爱比米修斯，你不想看看吗？
Àibǐmǐxiūsī, nǐ bù xiǎng kànkan ma?
Epimetheus, don't you want to look?
- Epimetheus 不想。神说不能开。我们去玩吧！
Bù xiǎng. Shén shuō bù néng kāi. Wǒmen qù wán ba!
No. The gods said not to. Let's go play!
- Pandora 你去吧。我想再听一听。
Nǐ qù ba. Wǒ xiǎng zài tīng yi tīng.
You go. I want to listen a little more.
- Pandora 听！盒子里有声音！
Tīng! Hézi lǐ yǒu shēngyīn!
Listen! There's a sound in the box!
- Trouble 潘多拉……打开我……打开我……
Pānduōlā… dǎkāi wǒ… dǎkāi wǒ…
Pandora... open me... open me...
- Pandora 你是谁？
Nǐ shì shéi?
Who are you?
- Trouble 我是你的朋友。开一点点，你就知道。
Wǒ shì nǐ de péngyou. Kāi yìdiǎndiǎn, nǐ jiù zhīdào.
I'm your friend. Open it just a little and you'll see.
- Pandora 我只开一点点。只看一下。
Wǒ zhǐ kāi yìdiǎndiǎn. Zhǐ kàn yíxià.
Just a crack. Just one look.
- Epimetheus 潘多拉，不要！
Pānduōlā, bú yào!
Pandora, don't!
- Pandora 啊！有东西飞出来了！
Ā! Yǒu dōngxi fēi chūlái le!
Ah! Something is flying out!
- Trouble 我们出来了！我们是难过和害怕！
Wǒmen chūlái le! Wǒmen shì nánguò hé hàipà!
We're out! We are sadness and fear!
- Epimetheus 快关上！
Kuài guānshàng!
Shut it, quick!
- Pandora 对不起！对不起！我错了！
Duìbuqǐ! Duìbuqǐ! Wǒ cuò le!
I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I was wrong!
- Pandora 还有一个声音……在盒子里。
Hái yǒu yí gè shēngyīn… zài hézi lǐ.
There's still a voice... in the box.
- Hope 潘多拉，别哭。我是希望。我在这儿。
Pānduōlā, bié kū. Wǒ shì xīwàng. Wǒ zài zhèr.
Pandora, don't cry. I'm Hope. I'm right here.
- Pandora 希望……你不飞走吗？
Xīwàng… nǐ bù fēi zǒu ma?
Hope... you're not flying away?
- Hope 不飞。我会一直和你们在一起。
Bù fēi. Wǒ huì yìzhí hé nǐmen zài yìqǐ.
No. I'll always stay with you.
- Hermes 希望！好名字！我得走了！有个国王，想要好多好多金子！
Xīwàng! Hǎo míngzi! Wǒ děi zǒu le! Yǒu gè guówáng, xiǎng yào hǎo duō hǎo duō jīnzi!
Hope! Great name! I have to run! There's a king who wants lots and lots of gold!
