The morning after the voice, Jane tells Diana she must go away. Thirty-six hours later she runs across the fields toward Thornfield, hoping for one look at his window.

It's getting light. Last night that voice called me: “Jane! Jane! Jane!”
- Jane Eyre 是罗切斯特先生的声音。我对着月光回答了他。

It was Mr. Rochester's voice. I answered him, out into the moonlight.

Morning at Moor House. Diana was downstairs, making breakfast.

Diana, I have to go away for a few days, to see a friend.

A friend? Why has your face gone red? All right, I won't ask.

Shèng Yuēhàn tiān liàng yǐqián jiù qù Jiànqiáo le, gěi nǐ liú le jǐ jù huà.
St. John left for Cambridge before it was light. He left you a few lines.
- Jane Eyre “两个星期以后我回来，听你的回答。别走错路，多跟上帝说话。”
“Liǎng gè xīngqī yǐhòu wǒ huílai, tīng nǐ de huídá. Bié zǒu cuò lù, duō gēn Shàngdì shuōhuà.”
“I'll be back in two weeks for your answer. Don't take the wrong road. Talk to God often.”
- Diana 你看，他的信也跟他一样冷！
Nǐ kàn, tā de xìn yě gēn tā yíyàng lěng!
See? His letter is as cold as he is!
- Narrator 那天下午，简坐上了马车，走了三十六个小时。

That afternoon Jane got on a coach and traveled for thirty-six hours.
- Jane Eyre 天快亮了……桑菲尔德就在那边！

It's nearly dawn... Thornfield is just over there!
- Narrator 简从马车上下来，跑过了一片又一片草地。

Jane got down from the coach and ran across field after field.
- Jane Eyre 我只在外边看一看他的窗户……

I'll only look at his window, just from outside...
- Jane Eyre 天哪……只有黑黑的墙！这里烧过一场大火！

Oh no... nothing but black walls! There's been a great fire here!
- Narrator 简走进路边的一家小饭店，店主给她拿来了早饭。

Jane went into a little inn by the road, and the innkeeper brought her breakfast.
- Jane Eyre 请问，桑菲尔德那座房子怎么了？
Qǐngwèn, Sāngfēi'ěrdé nà zuò fángzi zěnme le?
Excuse me, what happened to the house at Thornfield?
- The Innkeeper 小姐，您不知道吗？去年秋天，那里着火了。
Xiǎojie, nín bù zhīdào ma? Qùnián qiūtiān, nàlǐ zháohuǒ le.
Haven't you heard, Miss? Last autumn it caught fire.
- The Innkeeper 我以前在老罗切斯特先生家做事。他已经不在了。
Wǒ yǐqián zài lǎo Luóqièsītè xiānsheng jiā zuòshì. Tā yǐjīng bú zài le.
I used to work for old Mr. Rochester. He has passed away.
- Jane Eyre 什么？他死了？
Shénme? Tā sǐ le?
What? He's dead?
- The Innkeeper 不是，小姐，我说的是老先生。
Bú shì, xiǎojie, wǒ shuō de shì lǎo xiānsheng.
No, Miss, I mean the old master.
- The Innkeeper 去年夏天，家庭教师走了。先生很爱她。从那以后，他谁也不见。
Qùnián xiàtiān, jiātíng jiàoshī zǒu le. Xiānsheng hěn ài tā. Cóng nà yǐhòu, tā shéi yě bú jiàn.
Last summer the governess went away. The master loved her very much. After that, he wouldn't see anyone.
- The Innkeeper 他让费尔法克斯太太走了，阿黛尔小姐也去了学校。
Tā ràng Fèi'ěrfǎkèsī tàitai zǒu le, Ādài'ěr xiǎojie yě qù le xuéxiào.
He sent Mrs. Fairfax away, and Miss Adele went off to school.
- Jane Eyre 所以，她没有回我的信……
Suǒyǐ, tā méiyǒu huí wǒ de xìn…
So that's why she never answered my letters...
- The Innkeeper 三楼住着一位太太。她疯了，是先生的妻子。
Sān lóu zhùzhe yí wèi tàitai. Tā fēng le, shì xiānsheng de qīzi.
A lady lived on the third floor. She was mad, and she was the master's wife.
- The Innkeeper 一天夜里，跟她在一起的格蕾丝·普尔喝了酒，睡着了。
Yì tiān yèli, gēn tā zài yìqǐ de Gélěisī Pǔ'ěr hē le jiǔ, shuìzháo le.
One night Grace Poole, who stayed with her, drank and fell asleep.
- The Innkeeper 那位太太拿着蜡烛，走进了家庭教师的房间……
Nà wèi tàitai názhe làzhú, zǒu jìn le jiātíng jiàoshī de fángjiān…
The lady took a candle and went into the governess's room...
- Jane Eyre 我的房间……

- The Innkeeper 火是从那张没人睡的床上烧起来的。先生让大家都出去了，又上楼去找她。
Huǒ shì cóng nà zhāng méi rén shuì de chuáng shang shāo qǐlai de. Xiānsheng ràng dàjiā dōu chūqu le, yòu shàng lóu qù zhǎo tā.
The fire started in that bed nobody slept in. The master got everyone out, then went back up to find her.
- The Innkeeper 她站在房子最上边大声叫，然后跳了下来……她死了。
Tā zhàn zài fángzi zuì shàngbian dàshēng jiào, ránhòu tiào le xiàlai… tā sǐ le.
She stood at the very top of the house and shouted, then she jumped... She died.
- Jane Eyre 那……罗切斯特先生呢？
Nà… Luóqièsītè xiānsheng ne?
And... Mr. Rochester?
- The Innkeeper 他还活着。可是他没了一只手，眼睛也瞎了。他住在芬丁。
Tā hái huózhe. Kěshì tā méi le yì zhī shǒu, yǎnjing yě xiā le. Tā zhù zài Fēndīng.
He's alive. But he lost a hand, and he's blind. He lives at Ferndean.
