Blinded and alone, Wukong learns that only one tiny needle can beat the golden light. Then Tang Seng makes a promise, and a new warning comes.

It hurts so much... I can't see a thing. Master has been taken!
- Sun Wukong 那金光太厉害了。老孙的棒子，也打不到光。
Nà jīnguāng tài lìhai le. Lǎo Sūn de bàngzi, yě dǎ bú dào guāng.
That golden light is too strong. Even my staff can't hit light.
- Taibai Jinxing 悟空，别急。老夫来告诉你怎么办。
Wùkōng, bié jí. Lǎofū lái gàosu nǐ zěnme bàn.
Wukong, don't worry. Let this old man tell you what to do.

- Taibai Jinxing 魔君的金光，谁也破不了。只有一个人可以。
Mójūn de jīnguāng, shéi yě pò bù liǎo. Zhǐyǒu yí gè rén kěyǐ.
No one can break the demon lord's light. Only one person can.
- Sun Wukong 谁？快说！老孙现在就去！
Shéi? Kuài shuō! Lǎo Sūn xiànzài jiù qù!
Who? Tell me quick! I'll go right now!
- Taibai Jinxing 紫云山的毗蓝婆菩萨。她有一根小小的针。
Zǐyún Shān de Pílánpó Púsà. Tā yǒu yì gēn xiǎoxiǎo de zhēn.
Bodhisattva Pilanpo of Purple Cloud Mountain. She has one tiny needle.
- Sun Wukong 针？老孙的棒子这么大，都不行。一根针，能行吗？
Zhēn? Lǎo Sūn de bàngzi zhème dà, dōu bù xíng. Yì gēn zhēn, néng xíng ma?
A needle? My staff is this big and it didn't work. Can one needle do it?
- Taibai Jinxing 大的不行，小的行。去吧，路很远。
Dà de bù xíng, xiǎo de xíng. Qù ba, lù hěn yuǎn.
The big one can't, but the small one can. Go now. The road is long.
- Narrator 悟空飞了一天。晚上，他和毗蓝婆菩萨回到了山洞前。
Wùkōng fēi le yì tiān. Wǎnshang, tā hé Pílánpó Púsà huí dào le shāndòng qián.
Wukong flew all day. At night, he and Bodhisattva Pilanpo came back to the cave.
- Bodhisattva Pilanpo 孩子，别怕。把眼睛闭上。
Háizi, bié pà. Bǎ yǎnjing bì shàng.
Child, don't be afraid. Close your eyes.
- Sun Wukong 咦？不疼了！老孙又看得见了！谢谢菩萨！
Yí? Bù téng le! Lǎo Sūn yòu kàn de jiàn le! Xièxie Púsà!
Oh? It doesn't hurt! I can see again! Thank you, Bodhisattva!
- The Hundred-Eyes Demon Lord 又是你这只猴子！还敢来？我的金光，你破不了！
Yòu shì nǐ zhè zhī hóuzi! Hái gǎn lái? Wǒ de jīnguāng, nǐ pò bù liǎo!
You again, monkey! You dare come back? You can't break my light!
- Sun Wukong 妖怪，你看！老孙请来了一位客人！
Yāoguài, nǐ kàn! Lǎo Sūn qǐng lái le yí wèi kèrén!
Demon, look! I've brought a guest!
- Bodhisattva Pilanpo 魔君，放了唐僧吧。不然，我要生气了。
Mójūn, fàng le Táng Sēng ba. Bùrán, wǒ yào shēngqì le.
Demon lord, let Tang Seng go. Or I will get angry.
- The Hundred-Eyes Demon Lord 你是谁？一个老婆婆，也想管我？
Nǐ shì shéi? Yí gè lǎo pópo, yě xiǎng guǎn wǒ?
Who are you? An old granny wants to tell me what to do?
- Sun Wukong 老婆婆？你小心点！她的东西，比老孙的棒子还厉害！
Lǎo pópo? Nǐ xiǎoxīn diǎn! Tā de dōngxi, bǐ Lǎo Sūn de bàngzi hái lìhai!
Granny? Watch out! Her thing is stronger than my staff!
- Bodhisattva Pilanpo 我只有一根小针。悟空，闭上眼睛，数到三。
Wǒ zhǐyǒu yì gēn xiǎo zhēn. Wùkōng, bì shàng yǎnjing, shǔ dào sān.
I only have one little needle. Wukong, close your eyes and count to three.
- The Hundred-Eyes Demon Lord 一根针？哈哈哈哈！我有一百只眼睛，我怕一根针？
Yì gēn zhēn? Hā hā hā hā! Wǒ yǒu yì bǎi zhī yǎnjing, wǒ pà yì gēn zhēn?
One needle? Ha ha ha! I have a hundred eyes. Am I afraid of one needle?
- Sun Wukong 一，二，三！
Yī, èr, sān!
One, two, three!
- The Hundred-Eyes Demon Lord 我的金光！怎么……怎么裂开了？
Wǒ de jīnguāng! Zěnme… zěnme liè kāi le?
My golden light! How... how is it cracking?
- Sha Wujing 师父！光没有了！我们看得见了！
Shīfu! Guāng méiyǒu le! Wǒmen kàn de jiàn le!
Master! The light is gone! We can see again!
- Zhu Bajie 老猪的眼睛！老猪又看见饭了……不对，看见路了！
Lǎo Zhū de yǎnjing! Lǎo Zhū yòu kànjiàn fàn le… bú duì, kànjiàn lù le!
My eyes! I can see food again... I mean, the road!
- The Hundred-Eyes Demon Lord 不可能……一根小针……我的眼睛！我的眼睛都不亮了！
Bù kěnéng… yì gēn xiǎo zhēn… Wǒ de yǎnjing! Wǒ de yǎnjing dōu bú liàng le!
Impossible... one tiny needle... My eyes! All my eyes have gone dark!
- Sun Wukong 看！七个蜘蛛精，都变回小蜘蛛了！魔君也变成了一只小虫！
Kàn! Qī gè zhīzhūjīng, dōu biàn huí xiǎo zhīzhū le! Mójūn yě biànchéng le yì zhī xiǎo chóng!
Look! The seven spider spirits have turned back into little spiders! The demon lord is a tiny bug!
- Bodhisattva Pilanpo 走吧，小虫子们。以后，别再做坏事了。
Zǒu ba, xiǎo chóngzi men. Yǐhòu, bié zài zuò huàishì le.
Off you go, little bugs. Don't do bad things again.
- Tang Seng 悟空，是师父错了。以后，师父会听你的话。
Wùkōng, shì shīfu cuò le. Yǐhòu, shīfu huì tīng nǐ de huà.
Wukong, Master was wrong. From now on, I'll listen to you.
- Sun Wukong 师父，这句话，老孙记住了！
Shīfu, zhè jù huà, Lǎo Sūn jì zhù le!
Master, I'll remember you said that!
- Taibai Jinxing 别高兴得太早。前面是狮驼岭，那里有三个大妖怪。
Bié gāoxìng de tài zǎo. Qiánmiàn shì Shītuó Lǐng, nàlǐ yǒu sān gè dà yāoguài.
Don't celebrate too soon. Ahead is Lion Camel Ridge, where three great demons live.
- Tang Seng 三个大妖怪？悟空……我们一定要走那条路吗？
Sān gè dà yāoguài? Wùkōng… wǒmen yídìng yào zǒu nà tiáo lù ma?
Three great demons? Wukong... do we really have to go that way?
