Gāowén, yì nián yǐhòu, lái lǜ shān zhǎo wǒ.
Gawain, in a year, come find me at the green hill.
- Gawain 绿山在哪儿？我要怎么找？
Lǜ shān zài nǎr? Wǒ yào zěnme zhǎo?
Where is the green hill? How do I find it?
- Green Knight 你自己找！一年以后，再见！
Nǐ zìjǐ zhǎo! Yì nián yǐhòu, zàijiàn!
Find it yourself! See you in a year!
- Arthur 高文……你还好吗？
Gāowén... nǐ hái hǎo ma?

- Gawain 我很好。我说了，就会做到。

I'm fine. I gave my word, and I will keep it.
- Narrator 一年过去了。冬天，高文上路了。

A year went by. In the winter, Gawain set out on the road.
- Gawain 好冷……我找了好多天。绿山在哪儿？
Hǎo lěng... wǒ zhǎo le hǎo duō tiān. Lǜ shān zài nǎr?
So cold... I've searched for so many days. Where is the green hill?
- Gawain 咦！那边有一个城堡！那儿有灯！
Yí! Nàbiān yǒu yí gè chéngbǎo! Nàr yǒu dēng!
Look! There's a castle over there! There are lights!
- Gawain 有人吗？
Yǒu rén ma?
Is anyone there?
- Castle Lord 欢迎，欢迎！客人，快进来！外面太冷了！
Huānyíng, huānyíng! Kèrén, kuài jìnlái! Wàimiàn tài lěng le!
Welcome, welcome! Guest, come in quickly! It's freezing out there!
- Gawain 谢谢您。我叫高文，是国王的骑士。我在找绿山。
Xièxie nín. Wǒ jiào Gāowén, shì guówáng de qíshì. Wǒ zài zhǎo lǜ shān.
Thank you. I am Gawain, a knight of the king. I'm looking for the green hill.
- Castle Lord 绿山？很近！你先住下来，吃好，睡好。
Lǜ shān? Hěn jìn! Nǐ xiān zhù xiàlái, chī hǎo, shuì hǎo.
The green hill? It's close! Stay here first, eat well, and sleep well.
- Castle Lord 来，坐下吃饭吧！你一定很饿。
Lái, zuò xià chīfàn ba! Nǐ yídìng hěn è.
Come, sit down and eat! You must be starving.
- Gawain 太好了！我好几天没吃了。
Tài hǎo le! Wǒ hǎo jǐ tiān méi chī le.
Wonderful! I haven't eaten in days.
- Castle Lord 我们来玩一个游戏吧。
Wǒmen lái wán yí gè yóuxì ba.
Let's play a game.
- Castle Lord 每天晚上，我给你我今天得到的东西。
Měi tiān wǎnshang, wǒ gěi nǐ wǒ jīntiān dédào de dōngxi.
Every night, I give you what I got that day.
- Castle Lord 你也给我你得到的东西。
Nǐ yě gěi wǒ nǐ dédào de dōngxi.
And you give me what you get.
- Gawain 好啊，我们玩。
Hǎo a, wǒmen wán.
All right, let's play.
- Castle Lady 高文先生，这条绿腰带给你。
Gāowén xiānsheng, zhè tiáo lǜ yāodài gěi nǐ.
Sir Gawain, this green belt is for you.
- Castle Lady 它会保护你。这是给你的，别告诉我的丈夫。
Tā huì bǎohù nǐ. Zhè shì gěi nǐ de, bié gàosu wǒ de zhàngfu.
It will protect you. It's a gift for you, so don't tell my husband.
- Gawain 保护我？我好怕……我想要它。我不说。
Bǎohù wǒ? Wǒ hǎo pà... wǒ xiǎng yào tā. Wǒ bù shuō.
Protect me? I'm so scared... I want it. I won't say a word.
- Castle Lord 高文，明天你会见到绿骑士。我带你去。他在等你。
Gāowén, míngtiān nǐ huì jiàndào lǜ qíshì. Wǒ dài nǐ qù. Tā zài děng nǐ.
Gawain, tomorrow you will meet the Green Knight. I'll take you there. He is waiting for you.
