Little Rabbit tries to fool Grandpa Owl with a disguise. Then comes the last new story of spring: a hungry wolf, a sheepskin, and a lamb who asks a lot of questions.

On the sixth night, a rather unusual “Little Squirrel” came up to the old tree.
- Little Rabbit 猫头鹰爷爷，我是小松鼠！您看，我有果子！
Māotóuyīng yéye, wǒ shì Xiǎo Sōngshǔ! Nín kàn, wǒ yǒu guǒzi!
Grandpa Owl, I'm Little Squirrel! Look, I've got an acorn!

- Grandpa Owl 今天的故事里，也有一个穿别人衣服的。坐好了，故事来了！
Jīntiān de gùshi lǐ, yě yǒu yí gè chuān biérén yīfu de. Zuò hǎo le, gùshi lái le!
Tonight's story has someone in somebody else's clothes too. Sit tight, here comes the story!
- Grandpa Owl 很久以前，山上有一只大灰狼。他天天想吃羊。
Hěn jiǔ yǐqián, shān shang yǒu yì zhī dà huīláng. Tā tiāntiān xiǎng chī yáng.
Long ago, a big gray wolf lived up in the hills. Every day, he dreamed of eating sheep.
- The Wolf 羊就在那儿……可是牧羊人天天看着，我过不去！
Yáng jiù zài nàr… kěshì mùyángrén tiāntiān kànzhe, wǒ guò bu qù!
The sheep are right over there… but the shepherd watches them all day long. I can't get near them!
- The Wolf 这是什么？一张羊皮！我有办法了！
Zhè shì shénme? Yì zhāng yángpí! Wǒ yǒu bànfǎ le!
What's this? A sheepskin! I've got an idea!
- Grandpa Owl 天快黑了。大灰狼穿上羊皮，走进了羊群。
Tiān kuài hēi le. Dà huīláng chuān shàng yángpí, zǒujìn le yángqún.
It was getting dark. The big gray wolf put on the sheepskin and walked right into the flock.
- The Wolf 咩……我是羊，我是羊！
Miē… wǒ shì yáng, wǒ shì yáng!
Baa… I'm a sheep, I'm a sheep!
- The Lamb 你是新来的吗？你的声音，跟我们不一样。
Nǐ shì xīn lái de ma? Nǐ de shēngyīn, gēn wǒmen bù yíyàng.
Are you new here? Your voice doesn't sound like ours.
- The Wolf 我……我感冒了！
Wǒ… wǒ gǎnmào le!
I… I've got a cold!
- The Lamb 你的尾巴，怎么这么长？
Nǐ de wěiba, zěnme zhème cháng?
And why is your tail so long?
- The Wolf 我是……长尾巴的羊！
Wǒ shì… cháng wěiba de yáng!
I'm… a long-tailed sheep!
- Little Squirrel 小羊，快跑！狼来了！这次是真的！
Xiǎoyáng, kuài pǎo! Láng lái le! Zhè cì shì zhēn de!
Little lamb, run! The wolf is here! This time it's for real!
- The Wolf 等牧羊人睡了，我就……
Děng mùyángrén shuì le, wǒ jiù…
Once the shepherd's asleep, I'll…
- Grandpa Owl 这时候，牧羊人拿着灯，来数羊了。
Zhè shíhou, mùyángrén názhe dēng, lái shǔ yáng le.
Just then, the shepherd came with his lamp to count the sheep.
- The Shepherd 一，二，三……九，十，十一？我的羊，是十只啊！
Yī, èr, sān… jiǔ, shí, shíyī? Wǒ de yáng, shì shí zhī a!
One, two, three… nine, ten, eleven? But I only have ten sheep!
- The Shepherd 这只羊，怎么有一条灰色的长尾巴？
Zhè zhī yáng, zěnme yǒu yì tiáo huīsè de cháng wěiba?
And why does this sheep have a long gray tail?
- The Shepherd 是狼！大灰狼！快走开！
Shì láng! Dà huīláng! Kuài zǒukāi!
It's a wolf! A big gray wolf! Get out of here!
- The Wolf 啊！我的羊皮！不要了，快跑！
A! Wǒ de yángpí! Bú yào le, kuài pǎo!
Yikes! My sheepskin! Forget it, run!
- Grandpa Owl 大灰狼跑了，没有再来。人们现在还说“披着羊皮的狼”。
Dà huīláng pǎo le, méiyǒu zài lái. Rénmen xiànzài hái shuō “pīzhe yángpí de láng”.
The big gray wolf ran off and never came back. People still talk about “a wolf in sheep's clothing” today.
- The Lamb 他穿着羊皮，可是他还是狼！
Tā chuānzhe yángpí, kěshì tā háishi láng!
He was wearing a sheepskin, but he was still a wolf!
- Little Squirrel 大灰狼的尾巴，跟小兔子的耳朵一样！
Dà huīláng de wěiba, gēn Xiǎo Tùzi de ěrduo yíyàng!
The wolf's tail gave him away, just like Little Rabbit's ears!
- Little Rabbit 对！穿什么都骗不了人。好好看，就能看出来！
Duì! Chuān shénme dōu piàn bu liǎo rén. Hǎohǎo kàn, jiù néng kàn chūlái!
Right! Clothes can't fool anyone for long. Look carefully, and you can always tell!
- Grandpa Owl 说得好！这个春天的新故事，都讲完了。
Shuō de hǎo! Zhège chūntiān de xīn gùshi, dōu jiǎng wán le.
Well said! And that's all the new stories for this spring.
- Little Squirrel 那明天晚上，我们给您讲故事！我们都会讲！
Nà míngtiān wǎnshang, wǒmen gěi nín jiǎng gùshi! Wǒmen dōu huì jiǎng!
