Stop yelling! I live upstairs. Let me have a look.
- Pinocchio 你是谁？你会看病吗？
Nǐ shì shéi? Nǐ huì kànbìng ma?
Who are you? Are you a doctor?
- the Marmot 我是土拨鼠。耳朵太长了……孩子，你得了驴病。
Wǒ shì tǔbōshǔ. Ěrduo tài cháng le… háizi, nǐ dé le lǘ bìng.
I'm a marmot. Those ears are far too long... child, you've caught donkey fever.
- the Marmot 不上学、天天玩的孩子，都会变成驴。
Bú shàngxué, tiāntiān wán de háizi, dōu huì biànchéng lǘ.
Children who skip school and play all day all turn into donkeys.
- the Marmot 两个小时以后，你也是一头驴了。
Liǎng gè xiǎoshí yǐhòu, nǐ yě shì yì tóu lǘ le.
In two hours, you'll be a donkey too.
- Pinocchio 一头驴？不！我不是驴！我是匹诺曹！
Yì tóu lǘ? Bù! Wǒ bú shì lǘ! Wǒ shì Pǐnuòcáo!
A donkey? No! I'm not a donkey! I'm Pinocchio!
- Pinocchio 会说话的蟋蟀说得对……妈妈，对不起……
Huì shuōhuà de Xīshuài shuō de duì… māma, duìbuqǐ…
The Talking Cricket was right... Mama, I'm sorry...

Háizi, xiànzài kū, yě méiyǒu yòng le.
Child, crying won't help now.
- Pinocchio 大帽子！两只耳朵放进去，谁也看不见！
Dà màozi! Liǎng zhī ěrduo fàng jìnqu, shéi yě kàn bu jiàn!
A big cap! Tuck both ears in, and nobody will see a thing!
- Narrator 他去找小灯芯。小灯芯也有一个大帽子。
Tā qù zhǎo Xiǎo Dēngxīn. Xiǎo Dēngxīn yě yǒu yí gè dà màozi.
He went to find Candlewick. Candlewick had a big cap on too.
- Pinocchio 小灯芯，你的帽子怎么这么大？
Xiǎo Dēngxīn, nǐ de màozi zěnme zhème dà?
Candlewick, why is your cap so big?
- Candlewick 我……我头冷。你呢？你的也很大！
Wǒ… wǒ tóu lěng. Nǐ ne? Nǐ de yě hěn dà!
I... my head's cold. And you? Yours is big too!
- Pinocchio 我……我也头冷！
Wǒ… wǒ yě tóu lěng!
Me... my head's cold too!
- Candlewick 好朋友，一起拿下帽子吧！一、二、三！
Hǎo péngyou, yìqǐ ná xià màozi ba! Yī, èr, sān!
Let's take our caps off together, friend! One, two, three!
- Pinocchio 你的耳朵！真长！比我的还大！
Nǐ de ěrduo! Zhēn cháng! Bǐ wǒ de hái dà!
Your ears! So long! Even bigger than mine!
- Candlewick 你的也那么长！我们两个，真像两头驴！
Nǐ de yě nàme cháng! Wǒmen liǎng gè, zhēn xiàng liǎng tóu lǘ!
Yours are just as long! The two of us look just like two donkeys!
- Pinocchio 我要倒了……我的手，变成脚了！
Wǒ yào dǎo le… wǒ de shǒu, biànchéng jiǎo le!
I'm falling over... my hands are turning into feet!
- Candlewick 匹诺曹，救我！我……我有尾巴了！
Pǐnuòcáo, jiù wǒ! Wǒ… wǒ yǒu wěiba le!
Pinocchio, help! I... I've got a tail!
- Pinocchio 我想说话……出来的，是驴叫！
Wǒ xiǎng shuōhuà… chūlai de, shì lǘ jiào!
I'm trying to talk... and out comes a bray!
- the Little Man 叫得真好！早上好，我的两头小驴！
Jiào de zhēn hǎo! Zǎoshang hǎo, wǒ de liǎng tóu xiǎo lǘ!
What lovely braying! Good morning, my two little donkeys!
- the Little Man 傻瓜们，走！今天去卖驴！
Shǎguāmen, zǒu! Jīntiān qù mài lǘ!
Come along, little fools! Today we're selling donkeys!
- Pinocchio 卖驴？拉车的那些驴……以前也是孩子！
Mài lǘ? Lā chē de nàxiē lǘ… yǐqián yě shì háizi!
Selling donkeys? Those donkeys that pulled the wagon... they were boys once too!
- the Little Man 孩子变成驴，驴变成钱。真好！
Háizi biànchéng lǘ, lǘ biànchéng qián. Zhēn hǎo!
Boys turn into donkeys, and donkeys turn into money. Lovely!
- Narrator 下午，一个卖牛奶的人买走了小灯芯。
Xiàwǔ, yí gè mài niúnǎi de rén mǎi zǒu le Xiǎo Dēngxīn.
That afternoon, a dairy farmer bought Candlewick and led him away.
- Pinocchio 小灯芯……再见了，我的好朋友……
Xiǎo Dēngxīn… zàijiàn le, wǒ de hǎo péngyou…
Candlewick... goodbye, my good friend...
- the Circus Owner 这头小驴，我买了！在我的马戏团里，你天天给我跳舞！
Zhè tóu xiǎo lǘ, wǒ mǎi le! Zài wǒ de mǎxìtuán lǐ, nǐ tiāntiān gěi wǒ tiàowǔ!
I'll take this little donkey! In my circus, you'll dance for me every single day!
