Marched off by two policemen, Pinocchio makes a run for the sea with their huge dog close behind, but the water hides a hungry surprise.

- The Policeman 站住！阿利多罗！快去抓他！
Zhànzhù! Ālìduōluó! Kuài qù zhuā tā!
Stop! Alidoro! Go get him!
- Narrator 阿利多罗是一只很大的狗，跑得很快很快。
Ālìduōluó shì yì zhī hěn dà de gǒu, pǎo de hěn kuài hěn kuài.
Alidoro was a huge dog, and he ran very, very fast.
- Pinocchio 它要抓到我了！我跳到海里去！
Tā yào zhuā dào wǒ le! Wǒ tiào dào hǎi lǐ qù!
He's going to catch me! I'll jump into the sea!
- Pinocchio 游泳？我最会了！阿利多罗，你会吗？
Yóuyǒng? Wǒ zuì huì le! Ālìduōluó, nǐ huì ma?
Swimming? I'm the best at it! Alidoro, can you swim?
- Alidoro 救我！救我！我……不会游泳！
Jiù wǒ! Jiù wǒ! Wǒ… bú huì yóuyǒng!
Help! Help me! I... can't swim!
- Pinocchio 你要抓我……我为什么要救你？
Nǐ yào zhuā wǒ… wǒ wèishénme yào jiù nǐ?
You were trying to catch me... why should I save you?

Oh, all right! Hold still! I'll pull you by the tail!

Pǐnuòcáo lāzhe tā de wěiba, yìzhí lā dào le hǎibiān.
Holding on to his tail, Pinocchio pulled him all the way to the beach.
- Alidoro 你救了我……我不会忘的！
Nǐ jiù le wǒ… wǒ bú huì wàng de!
You saved me... I won't forget it!
- Pinocchio 不用谢！可是别跟着我了！
Bú yòng xiè! Kěshì bié gēnzhe wǒ le!
Don't mention it! But stop chasing me!
- Pinocchio 浪好大……我好累，好饿……那边有火！有人！有吃的！
Làng hǎo dà… wǒ hǎo lèi, hǎo è… Nàbiān yǒu huǒ! Yǒu rén! Yǒu chī de!
The waves are so big... I'm so tired, so hungry... There's a fire over there! People! Food!
- Pinocchio 这是什么？是网！我在网里！
Zhè shì shénme? Shì wǎng! Wǒ zài wǎng lǐ!
What's this? A net! I'm caught in a net!
- the Green Fisherman 好大的鱼！今天有好吃的了！
Hǎo dà de yú! Jīntiān yǒu hǎochī de le!
What a big fish! Something tasty for dinner today!
- Narrator 这个人从头到脚都是绿的：绿头发、绿胡子、绿眼睛。
Zhège rén cóng tóu dào jiǎo dōu shì lǜ de: lǜ tóufa, lǜ húzi, lǜ yǎnjing.
This man was green from head to toe: green hair, green beard, green eyes.
- the Green Fisherman 我是绿渔夫！我最爱吃鱼了！
Wǒ shì Lǜ Yúfū! Wǒ zuì ài chī yú le!
I'm the Green Fisherman! And I love to eat fish!
- the Green Fisherman 这条，放进锅里！这条，也放进去！
Zhè tiáo, fàng jìn guō lǐ! Zhè tiáo, yě fàng jìnqu!
This one, into the pan! This one too, in it goes!
- Pinocchio 一条，两条……下一个，是我吗？
Yì tiáo, liǎng tiáo… xià yí gè, shì wǒ ma?
One fish, two fish... am I next?
- the Green Fisherman 这个呢？是什么鱼？木偶……鱼？
Zhège ne? Shì shénme yú? Mù'ǒu… yú?
And this one? What kind of fish is it? A puppet... fish?
- Pinocchio 我不是鱼！我是匹诺曹！
Wǒ bú shì yú! Wǒ shì Pǐnuòcáo!
I'm not a fish! I'm Pinocchio!
- the Green Fisherman 会说话的鱼？那更好吃了！
Huì shuōhuà de yú? Nà gèng hǎochī le!
