Now the Dolphin was gone. Pinocchio sat all alone on the shore of the Island of Busy Bees.
- Pinocchio 爸爸……你真的在大鲨鱼的肚子里吗？
Bàba… nǐ zhēn de zài Dà Shāyú de dùzi lǐ ma?
Papa... are you really inside the Terrible Dogfish?
- Pinocchio 我一个人，没有钱，肚子好饿……
Wǒ yí gè rén, méiyǒu qián, dùzi hǎo è…
I'm all alone, I have no money, and I'm so hungry...

What? Pull your cart for you? I'm not a donkey!
- Pinocchio 不工作，就没有饭吃？这是什么地方啊！
Bù gōngzuò, jiù méiyǒu fàn chī? Zhè shì shénme dìfang a!
No work, no food? What kind of place is this!
- Narrator 来了一个女人，拿着两个水瓶。
Lái le yí gè nǚrén, názhe liǎng gè shuǐpíng.
Along came a woman, carrying two jars of water.
- Pinocchio 你好！我好渴……能给我喝一点水吗？
Nǐ hǎo! Wǒ hǎo kě… néng gěi wǒ hē yìdiǎn shuǐ ma?
Hello! I'm so thirsty... could I have a little water?
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 喝吧。帮我拿一个水瓶回家，我给你面包和菜。
Hē ba. Bāng wǒ ná yí gè shuǐpíng huí jiā, wǒ gěi nǐ miànbāo hé cài.
Drink. Carry one jar home for me, and I'll give you bread and vegetables.
- Pinocchio 面包和菜……还有吗？
Miànbāo hé cài… hái yǒu ma?
Bread and vegetables... anything else?
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 还有一块糖。
Hái yǒu yí kuài táng.
And a lump of sugar.
- Pinocchio 糖？我拿！我拿！
Táng? Wǒ ná! Wǒ ná!
Sugar? I'll carry it! I'll carry it!
- Pinocchio 面包好吃！菜也好吃！糖呢？糖呢？
Miànbāo hǎochī! Cài yě hǎochī! Táng ne? Táng ne?
The bread is yummy! The vegetables too! Where's the sugar? Where's the sugar?
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 先吃完菜。糖，等一下。
Xiān chī wán cài. Táng, děng yíxià.
Finish your vegetables first. The sugar can wait.
- Pinocchio 糖……等一下？这句话，我听过！
Táng… děng yíxià? Zhè jù huà, wǒ tīng guo!
The sugar... can wait? I've heard that before!
- Pinocchio 蓝头发……你是我的仙女姐姐！
Lán tóufa… nǐ shì wǒ de Xiānnǚ jiějie!
Turquoise hair... you're my Fairy, my big sister!
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 是我。你看出来了。
Shì wǒ. Nǐ kàn chūlai le.
It's me. You worked it out.
- Pinocchio 可是石头上写着，你死了！
Kěshì shítou shang xiězhe, nǐ sǐ le!
But the stone said you were dead!
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 我没死。你看，我长大了。
Wǒ méi sǐ. Nǐ kàn, wǒ zhǎngdà le.
I didn't die. Look, I've grown up.
- Pinocchio 你长大了……那你做我的妈妈，好吗？
Nǐ zhǎngdà le… nà nǐ zuò wǒ de māma, hǎo ma?
You've grown up... then will you be my mama?
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 好。从今天起，我是你的妈妈。
Hǎo. Cóng jīntiān qǐ, wǒ shì nǐ de māma.
Yes. From today on, I'm your mama.
- Pinocchio 妈妈！我有妈妈了！我也要长大！
Māma! Wǒ yǒu māma le! Wǒ yě yào zhǎngdà!
Mama! I have a mama! I want to grow up too!
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 木偶不会长大。
Mù'ǒu bú huì zhǎngdà.
Puppets never grow up.
- Pinocchio 我不想做木偶了！我要做一个真正的孩子！
Wǒ bù xiǎng zuò mù'ǒu le! Wǒ yào zuò yí gè zhēnzhèng de háizi!
I don't want to be a puppet anymore! I want to be a real boy!
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 你可以。要听话，要学习，要工作，还要说真话。
Nǐ kěyǐ. Yào tīnghuà, yào xuéxí, yào gōngzuò, hái yào shuō zhēnhuà.
You can. Be good and listen, study, work, and always tell the truth.
- Pinocchio 妈妈……我还能看见爸爸吗？
Māma… wǒ hái néng kànjiàn bàba ma?
Mama... will I ever see Papa again?
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 能。我知道，你会看见他的。
Néng. Wǒ zhīdào, nǐ huì kànjiàn tā de.
You will. I know you'll see him again.
- Pinocchio 明天我就去上学！天天去！我会做一个好孩子！
Míngtiān wǒ jiù qù shàngxué! Tiāntiān qù! Wǒ huì zuò yí gè hǎo háizi!
Tomorrow I'm going to school! Every day! I'll be a good boy!
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 好啊……我们看看吧。
Hǎo a… wǒmen kànkan ba.
