Three very odd doctors argue over the puppet from the Big Oak: is he dead, or is he alive?

Nà tiān wǎnshang, Dà Xiàngshù shang guàzhe yí gè mù'ǒu. Tā yí dòng bú dòng.
That night, a puppet hung from the Big Oak. He did not move at all.
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 强盗走了。可是匹诺曹还挂在那儿……他还活着吗？
Qiángdào zǒu le. Kěshì Pǐnuòcáo hái guà zài nàr… Tā hái huózhe ma?
The robbers have gone. But Pinocchio is still hanging there... Is he still alive?
- Narrator 蓝头发的女孩，是一个好仙女。她在这儿住了一千多年。
Lán tóufa de nǚhái, shì yí gè hǎo xiānnǚ. Tā zài zhèr zhù le yìqiān duō nián.
The girl with turquoise hair was a good fairy. She had lived here for over a thousand years.

Dà niǎo, kuài qù Dà Xiàngshù. Qù yǎo kāi nà tiáo shéngzi.
Big bird, quick, go to the Big Oak. Bite through that rope.
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 梅多罗，你也去。带他回来，慢一点。
Méiduōluó, nǐ yě qù. Dài tā huílai, màn yìdiǎn.
Medoro, you go too. Bring him back, and go gently.
- Narrator 大鸟咬开了绳子。小狗梅多罗用小车带回了木偶。
Dà niǎo yǎo kāi le shéngzi. Xiǎogǒu Méiduōluó yòng xiǎochē dài huí le mù'ǒu.
The big bird bit through the rope, and Medoro the little dog brought the puppet back in a small carriage.
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 他不说话，也不动……快请医生来救他！
Tā bù shuōhuà, yě bú dòng… Kuài qǐng yīshēng lái jiù tā!
He won't speak, he won't move... Quick, call the doctors to save him!
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 乌鸦医生，这个木偶是死了，还是活着？
Wūyā yīshēng, zhège mù'ǒu shì sǐ le, háishi huózhe?
Doctor Crow, is this puppet dead, or alive?
- the Crow 他死了。如果没死，那就活着。
Tā sǐ le. Rúguǒ méi sǐ, nà jiù huózhe.
He is dead. And if he isn't dead, then he's alive.
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 猫头鹰医生，你说呢？
Māotóuyīng yīshēng, nǐ shuō ne?
Doctor Owl, what do you say?
- the Owl 他活着。如果不是活着，那就死了。
Tā huózhe. Rúguǒ bú shì huózhe, nà jiù sǐ le.
He is alive. And if he isn't alive, then he's dead.
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 谢谢你们。你们说得……都很对。
Xièxie nǐmen. Nǐmen shuō de… dōu hěn duì.
Thank you. You are... both quite right.
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 会说话的蟋蟀，你说呢？
Huì shuōhuà de Xīshuài, nǐ shuō ne?
Talking Cricket, what do you say?
- The Talking Cricket 这个木偶，我认识。他不听爸爸的，也不上学。
Zhège mù'ǒu, wǒ rènshi. Tā bù tīng bàba de, yě bú shàngxué.
I know this puppet. He doesn't listen to his papa, and he won't go to school.
- The Talking Cricket 他还用木头打过我。
Tā hái yòng mùtou dǎ guo wǒ.
He even hit me with a piece of wood.
- The Talking Cricket 他是个坏孩子。他会让老爸爸难过死的。
Tā shì gè huài háizi. Tā huì ràng lǎo bàba nánguò sǐ de.
He's a bad boy. He will break his old papa's heart.
- Pinocchio 爸爸……对不起……
Bàba… duìbuqǐ…
Papa... I'm sorry...
- the Crow 死人哭了？那他快好了。
Sǐrén kū le? Nà tā kuài hǎo le.
The dead one is crying? Then he's nearly well.
- the Owl 死人哭了？那他是……不想死。
Sǐrén kū le? Nà tā shì… bù xiǎng sǐ.
The dead one is crying? Then he... doesn't want to die.
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 谢谢医生们。匹诺曹，来，喝药。
Xièxie yīshēngmen. Pǐnuòcáo, lái, hē yào.
Thank you, doctors. Pinocchio, come and drink your medicine.
- Pinocchio 不喝！药不好喝！
Bù hē! Yào bù hǎohē!
No! Medicine tastes horrible!
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 给你糖。吃了糖，就喝，好吗？
Gěi nǐ táng. Chī le táng, jiù hē, hǎo ma?
Here's some sugar. Eat the sugar, then drink it, all right?
- Pinocchio 糖真好吃！再给我一块！
Táng zhēn hǎochī! Zài gěi wǒ yí kuài!
The sugar's so good! Give me another piece!
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 先喝这个。
Xiān hē zhège.
Drink this first.
- Pinocchio 不喝！死，我不怕！药，我怕！
Bù hē! Sǐ, wǒ bú pà! Yào, wǒ pà!
No! Dying doesn't scare me! Medicine does!
- The Fairy with Turquoise Hair 匹诺曹，不喝，你会死的。
Pǐnuòcáo, bù hē, nǐ huì sǐ de.
Pinocchio, if you don't drink it, you will die.
- Narrator 门开了。四只黑兔子进来了，拿着一个黑色的箱子。
Mén kāi le. Sì zhī hēi tùzi jìnlai le, názhe yí gè hēisè de xiāngzi.
The door opened. Four black rabbits came in, carrying a black box.
- Pinocchio 你们……你们是谁？
Nǐmen… nǐmen shì shéi?
Who... who are you?
- the Black Rabbit 匹诺曹，我们来带你走。
Pǐnuòcáo, wǒmen lái dài nǐ zǒu.
Pinocchio, we've come to take you away.
