- The Prince 老人家，那座山后是什么？
Lǎo rénjia, nà zuò shān hòu shì shénme?
Old man, what is behind that hill?
- The Old Man 那是一个城堡。城堡里有一个睡美人。
Nà shì yí gè chéngbǎo. Chéngbǎo lǐ yǒu yí gè shuì měirén.
That is a castle. A sleeping beauty lies inside the castle.
- The Prince 睡美人？她是谁？
Shuì měirén? Tā shì shéi?
A sleeping beauty? Who is she?
- The Old Man 她是公主。她睡了一百年。
Tā shì gōngzhǔ. Tā shuì le yì bǎi nián.
She is a princess. She has slept for a hundred years.
- The Prince 一百年？那城堡里的人呢？
Yì bǎi nián? Nà chéngbǎo lǐ de rén ne?
A hundred years? What about the people in the castle?
- The Old Man 都在睡觉。很多王子想进去，可是城堡外有很高的刺树。
Dōu zài shuìjiào. Hěn duō wángzǐ xiǎng jìnqù, kěshì chéngbǎo wài yǒu hěn gāo de cì shù.
All asleep. Many princes tried to go in, but tall thorn trees stand around the castle.
- The Old Man 他们进不去，也回不来了。刺很多，你要小心。
Tāmen jìn bú qù, yě huí bù lái le. Cì hěn duō, nǐ yào xiǎoxīn.
They couldn't get in, and they couldn't come back. There are so many thorns. Be careful.
- The Prince 我不怕刺！我要去看看。
Wǒ bú pà cì! Wǒ yào qù kànkan.
I'm not afraid of thorns! I'm going to see.
- The Old Man 我爷爷说，一百年到了，那些树会开一条路。
Wǒ yéye shuō, yì bǎi nián dào le, nàxiē shù huì kāi yì tiáo lù.
My grandfather said that when the hundred years are up, the trees will open a path.
- The Old Man 孩子，今天是第一百年的最后一天。
Háizi, jīntiān shì dì yì bǎi nián de zuìhòu yì tiān.
Young man, today is the very last day of the hundred years.
- The Prince 今天？那我现在就去！
Jīntiān? Nà wǒ xiànzài jiù qù!
Today? Then I'm going right now!
