Deep in the dark forest, the hunter stops walking and draws his knife. Snow White has only her words to save her.

It was dark in the forest. The trees were tall, and the path was narrow.
- Snow White 猎人，我们去哪儿？这里好黑啊。
Lièrén, wǒmen qù nǎr? Zhèlǐ hǎo hēi a.
Hunter, where are we going? It's so dark here.
- The Hunter 公主，别说话，再走一会儿。
Gōngzhǔ, bié shuōhuà, zài zǒu yíhuìr.
Don't talk, Princess. Just a little farther.

The hunter stopped. He drew out his knife.
- Snow White 猎人！你的刀……你要做什么？
Lièrén! Nǐ de dāo… nǐ yào zuò shénme?
Hunter! Your knife… what are you doing?
- The Hunter 对不起，公主。王后不要你活着。
Duìbuqǐ, gōngzhǔ. Wánghòu bú yào nǐ huózhe.
I'm sorry, Princess. The queen doesn't want you to live.
- Snow White 不要！猎人，求求你！
Búyào! Lièrén, qiúqiu nǐ!
No! Hunter, please, I beg you!
- Snow White 让我走吧！我跑到森林里去，永远不回来！
Ràng wǒ zǒu ba! Wǒ pǎo dào sēnlín lǐ qù, yǒngyuǎn bù huílái!
Let me go! I'll run off into the forest and never come back!
- The Hunter 她还是个孩子……我做不到。
Tā hái shi gè háizi… wǒ zuò bú dào.
She's only a child… I can't do it.
- Narrator 猎人放下了刀。
Lièrén fàngxià le dāo.
The hunter lowered his knife.
- The Hunter 快跑吧，公主！跑得远一点儿，别回来！
Kuài pǎo ba, gōngzhǔ! Pǎo de yuǎn yìdiǎnr, bié huílái!
Run, Princess! Run far away, and don't come back!
- Snow White 谢谢你，猎人！谢谢你！
Xièxie nǐ, lièrén! Xièxie nǐ!
Thank you, hunter! Thank you!
- The Hunter 王后问我，我就说你不在了。快走吧！
Wánghòu wèn wǒ, wǒ jiù shuō nǐ bú zài le. Kuài zǒu ba!
If the queen asks, I'll tell her you're gone. Now go, quickly!
- Snow White 好黑……好冷……我好怕。
Hǎo hēi… hǎo lěng… wǒ hǎo pà.
So dark… so cold… I'm so scared.
- Snow White 那是什么？一只大动物！
Nà shì shénme? Yì zhī dà dòngwù!
What's that? A big animal!
- Snow White 它跑过去了，没有吃我……
Tā pǎo guòqù le, méiyǒu chī wǒ…
It ran right past me, and it didn't eat me…
- Narrator 白雪公主跑了一天，天黑了。
Báixuě gōngzhǔ pǎo le yì tiān, tiān hēi le.
Snow White ran all day long. Then night fell.
- Snow White 我好累，我的脚好疼……今天晚上，我睡在哪儿呢？
Wǒ hǎo lèi, wǒ de jiǎo hǎo téng… jīntiān wǎnshang, wǒ shuì zài nǎr ne?
I'm so tired, and my feet hurt so much… Where will I sleep tonight?
- Snow White 看，那边有一个小房子！
Kàn, nàbiān yǒu yí gè xiǎo fángzi!
Look! There's a little house over there!
- Snow White 好小的房子！好小的门！
Hǎo xiǎo de fángzi! Hǎo xiǎo de mén!
Such a little house! Such a little door!
- Snow White 你好，有人在家吗？
Nǐ hǎo, yǒu rén zài jiā ma?
Hello! Is anyone home?
- Snow White 没有人……门开着。我进去看看吧。
Méiyǒu rén… mén kāizhe. Wǒ jìnqù kànkan ba.
No one… but the door is open. I'll go in and take a look.
