Three days later, on the island of Monte Cristo. The sea wind was gentle and the water was very blue.
- Maximilien 伯爵，三天了。您说的奇迹在哪里？
Bójué, sāntiān le. Nín shuō de qíjì zài nǎlǐ?
Count, it has been three days. Where is the miracle you promised?
- The Count of Monte Cristo 马西米兰，来，坐下。奇迹先来，早饭以后再吃。
Mǎxīmǐlán, lái, zuòxià. Qíjì xiān lái, zǎofàn yǐhòu zài chī.
Maximilien, come, sit down. The miracle comes first, breakfast after.

Zhǐyǒu shānyáng. Yǒu yí gè niánqīng de shuǐshǒu céngjīng duì wǒ shuō: è le, jiù qù zhuā yì zhī shānyáng.
Only goats. A young sailor once told me: if you're hungry, catch a goat.
- Maximilien 那位水手，真会开玩笑。
Nàwèi shuǐshǒu, zhēn huì kāiwánxiào.
That sailor must love a joke.
- The Count of Monte Cristo 他也曾经想死过。他被关了十四年，以为一切都完了。可是墙那边有一位老神父，教了他两个词。
Tā yě céngjīng xiǎng sǐ guò. Tā bèi guān le shísìnián, yǐwéi yíqiè dōu wán le. Kěshì qiáng nàbiān yǒu yí wèi lǎo shénfù, jiào le tā liǎnggè cí.
He once wanted to die too. He was locked up for fourteen years and thought everything was over. But an old priest on the other side of the wall taught him two words.

Děngdài, hé xīwàng. Rén de yíqiè zhìhuì, dōu zài zhè liǎnggè cí lǐ.
Wait, and hope. All of human wisdom is in those two words.
- Maximilien 我懂了。可是我的瓦朗蒂娜……我还能再见到她吗？
Wǒ dǒng le. Kěshì wǒ de Wǎlǎngdìnà… Wǒ hái néng zài jiàndào tā ma?
I understand now. But my Valentine... will I ever see her again?

Nǐ huítóu kànkan, Mǎxīmǐlán.
Turn around, Maximilien.
- Valentine 马西米兰。我睡了很久，是不是？
Mǎxīmǐlán. Wǒ shuì le hěn jiǔ, shì bu shì?
Maximilien. I slept a long time, didn't I?
- Maximilien 瓦朗蒂娜！真的是你！你真的醒来了！
Wǎlǎngdìnà! Zhēnde shì nǐ! Nǐ zhēnde xǐnglái le!
Valentine! It's really you! You really woke up!
- Valentine 我做了一个很长的梦。梦里，你一直坐在我的床边，一直在等我。
Wǒ zuò le yí gè hěn zhǎng de mèng. Mèng lǐ, nǐ yìzhí zuòzài wǒ de chuángbiān, yìzhí zài děng wǒ.
I had a very long dream. In it, you sat by my bed the whole time, waiting for me.
- Maximilien 伯爵，我该怎么谢您？我的命是您的！
Bójué, wǒ gāi zěnme xiè nín? Wǒ de mìng shì nín de!
Count, how can I ever thank you? My life is yours!
- The Count of Monte Cristo 不要谢我。你们只要幸福，就是最好的谢礼。这座岛，和山洞里的箱子，都是你们的。
Bú yào xiè wǒ. Nǐmen zhǐyào xìngfú, jiùshì zuìhǎo de xièlǐ. Zhè zuò dǎo, hé shāndòng lǐ de xiāngzi, dōu shì nǐmen de.
Don't thank me. Your happiness is the best thanks. This island, and the chests in the cave, are yours.
- Valentine 伯爵，您为我们做了这么多，我们却不知道怎么回报您。
Bójué, nín wèi wǒmen zuò le zhème duō, wǒmen què bù zhīdào zěnme huíbào nín.
Count, you have done so much for us, and we don't know how to repay you.
- The Count of Monte Cristo 你们要回报我，就好好活着，每一天都比昨天更幸福。
Nǐmen yào huíbào wǒ, jiù hǎohǎo huózhe, měi yì tiān dōu bǐ zuótiān gèng xìngfú.
If you want to repay me, live well, and be happier each day than the day before.

Nà wǒ de jìmǔ, hái huì shānghài biérén ma?
Will my stepmother hurt anyone else?
- The Count of Monte Cristo 不会了。她已经离开了巴黎，没有人会再伤害你。
Bú huì le. Tā yǐjīng líkāi le Bālí, méiyǒu rén huì zài shānghài nǐ.
No. She has left Paris, and no one will hurt you again.
- Valentine 那您呢，伯爵？您要去哪儿？

And you, Count? Where will you go?
- Maximilien 伯爵，您报了仇，您自己幸福吗？
Bójué, nín bào le chóu, nín zìjǐ xìngfú ma?
Count, you have taken your revenge. Are you happy yourself?
- The Count of Monte Cristo 还不知道。可是今天，我第一次觉得，也许我还可以幸福。
Hái bù zhīdào. Kěshì jīntiān, wǒ dìyīcì juéde, yěxǔ wǒ hái kěyǐ xìngfú.
I don't know yet. But today, for the first time, I feel that perhaps I still can be.
- The Count of Monte Cristo 我的事情做完了。
Wǒ de shìqíng zuò wán le.
My work is done.
- Maximilien 至少让我们知道您真正的名字！
Zhìshǎo ràng wǒmen zhīdào nín zhēnzhèng de míngzi!
At least let us know your real name!
- The Count of Monte Cristo 我是一个爱过，也恨过的人。你们叫我伯爵，就够了。
Wǒ shì yí gè ài guò, yě hèn guò de rén. Nǐmen jiào wǒ bójué, jiù gòu le.
I am a man who has loved and has hated. Call me Count, and that is enough.
- Maximilien 那我们会一直在这里等您回来。等待，和希望。
Nà wǒmen huì yìzhí zài zhèlǐ děng nín huílái. Děngdài, hé xīwàng.
Then we will keep waiting here for you to come back. Wait, and hope.
- Narrator 太阳升起来的时候，一艘白色的船，离开了基督山岛。
Tàiyáng shēng qǐlái de shíhou, yì sōu báisè de chuán, líkāi le Jīdūshān dǎo.
When the sun rose, a white ship sailed away from the island of Monte Cristo.
- Haydée 先生，船准备好了，风也很好。您在看什么？
Xiānsheng, chuán zhǔnbèi hǎo le, fēng yě hěn hǎo. Nín zài kàn shénme?
Sir, the ship is ready, and the wind is fair. What are you looking at?
- The Count of Monte Cristo 看这座岛。很多年前的一个夜晚，我从海里游到了这里。今天，我坐着船离开。
Kàn zhè zuò dǎo. Hěnduō niánqián de yí gè yèwǎn, wǒ cóng hǎilǐ yóu dào le zhèlǐ. Jīntiān, wǒ zuò zhe chuán líkāi.
This island. Many years ago, one night, I swam here from the sea. Today I leave by ship.
- Haydée 先生，您还想报仇吗？
Xiānsheng, nín hái xiǎng bàochóu ma?
Sir, do you still want revenge?
- The Count of Monte Cristo 不想了。神父说过，只想着报仇的人，心会变成石头。可是我的心，还在跳。
Bù xiǎng le. Shénfù shuō guò, zhǐ xiǎngzhe bàochóu de rén, xīn huì biànchéng shítou. Kěshì wǒ de xīn, hái zài tiào.
No longer. The priest said a man who thinks only of revenge will turn his heart to stone. But my heart is still beating.
- Haydée 那我们去哪儿？
Nà wǒmen qù nǎr?
Then where shall we go?
- The Count of Monte Cristo 去有太阳的地方，海黛。远远的，不用着急。
Qù yǒu tàiyáng de dìfang, Hǎidài. Yuǎnyuǎn de, bú yòng zháojí.
To a place with sunshine, Haydée. Far away, with no hurry.
- The Count of Monte Cristo 人生里最好的东西，不会来得很快。只要有等待，和希望，它们就一定会来。
Rénshēng lǐ zuìhǎo de dōngxi, bú huì láide hěnkuài. Zhǐyào yǒu děngdài, hé xīwàng, tāmen jiù yídìng huì lái.
The best things in life do not come quickly. But if we have waiting, and hope, they will surely come.
- Haydée 那我们就先等一等海上的太阳吧，先生。
Nà wǒmen jiù xiān děngyìděng hǎishàng de tàiyáng ba, xiānsheng.
