On the hundredth day, Dong Yong and the fairy beg the old tree for help. At noon the sky opens, and a love that heaven cannot take away is put to the test.

Old Locust Tree, at noon today, heaven will call me home. I don't want to go.

Can't you make the people from heaven stay away? You're a thousand-year-old tree!
- The Old Locust Tree 孩子，我只是一棵树。我拦不住天。
Háizi, wǒ zhǐshì yì kē shù. Wǒ lán bú zhù tiān.
Child, I am only a tree. I cannot stop heaven.
- Dong Yong 那……我们只有一个早上了？我还有好多话没说……
Nà… wǒmen zhǐ yǒu yí gè zǎoshang le? Wǒ hái yǒu hǎo duō huà méi shuō…
Then... we have only one morning left? There is still so much I haven't said...
- The Old Locust Tree 不。你们还有一百天的好日子。天也拿不走。
Bù. Nǐmen hái yǒu yì bǎi tiān de hǎo rìzi. Tiān yě ná bù zǒu.
No. You still have a hundred days of happy times. Not even heaven can take those away.
- The Seventh Fairy 老槐树，您说得对。董永，我们别哭了。
Lǎo huáishù, nín shuō de duì. Dǒng Yǒng, wǒmen bié kū le.
Old Locust Tree, you're right. Dong Yong, let's stop crying.
- Dong Yong 好，不哭。我们一起吃一顿饭，就像平常一样。我做！
Hǎo, bù kū. Wǒmen yìqǐ chī yí dùn fàn, jiù xiàng píngcháng yíyàng. Wǒ zuò!
Okay, no crying. Let's eat a meal together, just like any other day. I'll cook!

Nà jīntiān nǐ zuò, wǒ xǐ wǎn!
Then today you cook, and I'll wash the bowls!

- Voice from Heaven 七女儿，时间到了。回来吧。

- The Seventh Fairy 我要走了……

- Dong Yong 我知道。你去吧。我不哭。你看，我在笑。
Wǒ zhīdào. Nǐ qù ba. Wǒ bù kū. Nǐ kàn, wǒ zài xiào.
I know. Go. I won't cry. Look, I'm smiling.
- The Seventh Fairy 董永，你是个好人。你要好好过日子。
Dǒng Yǒng, nǐ shì gè hǎorén. Nǐ yào hǎohāo guò rìzi.
Dong Yong, you are a good man. Live your life well.
- Dong Yong 我会的。可是以后，我怎么找你？天那么高……
Wǒ huì de. Kěshì yǐhòu, wǒ zěnme zhǎo nǐ? Tiān nàme gāo…
I will. But afterward, how will I find you? The sky is so high...
- The Seventh Fairy 晚上你看星星。最亮的那颗星，就是我在看你。
Wǎnshang nǐ kàn xīngxing. Zuì liàng de nà kē xīng, jiù shì wǒ zài kàn nǐ.
At night, look at the stars. The brightest one is me, looking at you.
- The Old Locust Tree 去吧，七姐。我会看着他。
Qù ba, Qījiě. Wǒ huì kàn zhe tā.
Go, Qijie. I will look after him.
- Narrator 风停了，云也散了。七姐不见了，只有白花慢慢地落下来。
Fēng tíng le, yún yě sàn le. Qījiě bú jiàn le, zhǐyǒu bái huā mànmàn de luò xiàlái.
The wind stopped, and the clouds cleared. Qijie was gone, and only white blossoms drifted slowly down.
- Dong Yong 七姐……

- Dong Yong 咦？我的手里有东西。是一块白色的布，又软又亮，像天上的云。
Yí? Wǒ de shǒu lǐ yǒu dōngxi. Shì yí kuài báisè de bù, yòu ruǎn yòu liàng, xiàng tiānshàng de yún.
Huh? There's something in my hand. A piece of white cloth, soft and shiny, like a cloud from the sky.
- The Old Locust Tree 这是她留给你的。你想她的时候，就摸一摸这块布。
Zhè shì tā liú gěi nǐ de. Nǐ xiǎng tā de shíhou, jiù mō yi mō zhè kuài bù.
She left it for you. When you miss her, touch this cloth.
- Dong Yong 老槐树，您听，我已经不哭了。
Lǎo huáishù, nín tīng, wǒ yǐjīng bù kū le.
Old Locust Tree, listen. I've stopped crying.
- The Old Locust Tree 你是好孩子。她也知道，她一定在看你。
Nǐ shì hǎo háizi. Tā yě zhīdào, tā yídìng zài kàn nǐ.
You are a good child. She knows it too, and she is surely watching you.
- Dong Yong 七姐！你听得到吗？
Qījiě! Nǐ tīng de dào ma?
Qijie! Can you hear me?
- Dong Yong 我会好好过日子！每天晚上，我在这棵树下看星星！
Wǒ huì hǎohāo guò rìzi! Měi tiān wǎnshang, wǒ zài zhè kē shù xià kàn xīngxing!
I will live well! Every night, I'll watch the stars under this tree!
- Dong Yong 我在这儿等你！一年，两年，一百年，我都等！
Wǒ zài zhèr děng nǐ! Yì nián, liǎng nián, yì bǎi nián, wǒ dōu děng!
I'll wait for you right here! One year, two years, a hundred years, I'll wait!
