Dà shuǐ guòqù le. Jīnshān Sì lǐ, Xǔ Xiān yí gè rén zuòzhe, fàn yě bù chī.
The flood was over. In Jinshan Temple, Xu Xian sat alone and would not eat.
- Xu Xian 娘子来金山找过我，可是我没能出去见她。她现在在哪儿呢？
Niángzǐ lái Jīnshān zhǎo guo wǒ, kěshì wǒ méi néng chūqù jiàn tā. Tā xiànzài zài nǎr ne?
My wife came to Jinshan for me, and I couldn't even go out to see her. Where is she now?
- Fahai 许仙，你又不吃饭？你这样，怎么当和尚？
Xǔ Xiān, nǐ yòu bù chī fàn? Nǐ zhèyàng, zěnme dāng héshang?
Xu Xian, not eating again? How will you ever be a monk like this?

Shīfu, nà tiān de dà shuǐ… wǒ niángzǐ tā méishì ba?
Master, the flood that day... my wife, is she all right?
- Fahai 她没事。可是山下的镇江，很多人都没了。
Tā méishì. Kěshì shān xià de Zhènjiāng, hěn duō rén dōu méi le.
She is unharmed. But in Zhenjiang, below the hill, many people were lost.
- Xu Xian 都是因为我……我好后悔，我不应该走到方丈的门前。
Dōu shì yīnwèi wǒ… wǒ hǎo hòuhuǐ, wǒ bù yīnggāi zǒu dào fāngzhang de mén qián.
It's all because of me... I'm so sorry. I should never have gone near the abbot's door.
- Xu Xian 师父，我吃饭也想她，睡觉也想她。求求您，让我回家吧！
Shīfu, wǒ chī fàn yě xiǎng tā, shuìjiào yě xiǎng tā. Qiúqiu nín, ràng wǒ huí jiā ba!
Master, I think of her when I eat, and I think of her when I sleep. I'm begging you, let me go home!
- Fahai 这样的和尚，金山寺也不要。
Zhèyàng de héshang, Jīnshān Sì yě bú yào.
Jinshan Temple has no use for a monk like that.
- Xu Xian 那……您是说，我可以回家了？
Nà… nín shì shuō, wǒ kěyǐ huí jiā le?
Then... you mean I can go home?
- Narrator 法海看着他，很长时间没有说话，然后收好了自己的袈裟。
Fǎhǎi kànzhe tā, hěn cháng shíjiān méiyǒu shuōhuà, ránhòu shōu hǎo le zìjǐ de jiāshā.
Fahai looked at him for a long time without a word, then folded away his kasaya.
- Fahai 好，你去吧。
Hǎo, nǐ qù ba.
Very well. Go.
- Xu Xian 可是师父，您说过，她会害我……
Kěshì shīfu, nín shuō guo, tā huì hài wǒ…
But Master, you said she would harm me...
- Fahai 你和她的事，还没有完。她已经逃回杭州了，你去西湖的断桥上等她。
Nǐ hé tā de shì, hái méiyǒu wán. Tā yǐjīng táo huí Hángzhōu le, nǐ qù Xī Hú de Duàn Qiáo shàng děng tā.
What is between you and her is not over yet. She has fled back to Hangzhou. Go and wait for her on the Broken Bridge at West Lake.
- Xu Xian 杭州？从这儿到杭州，要走好几天啊！
Hángzhōu? Cóng zhèr dào Hángzhōu, yào zǒu hǎo jǐ tiān a!
Hangzhou? It's days and days on foot from here to Hangzhou!
- Fahai 不用走，我送你。站好，别怕。
Bú yòng zǒu, wǒ sòng nǐ. Zhàn hǎo, bié pà.
You will not walk. I will send you. Stand still, and do not be afraid.
- Narrator 一片白云来到许仙的脚下，带着他飞上了天。
Yí piàn báiyún láidào Xǔ Xiān de jiǎo xià, dàizhe tā fēi shàng le tiān.
A white cloud slid under Xu Xian's feet and carried him up into the sky.
- Xu Xian 我在天上飞？师父，我不会飞，也不会游泳啊！
Wǒ zài tiānshàng fēi? Shīfu, wǒ bú huì fēi, yě bú huì yóuyǒng a!
I'm flying? Master, I can't fly, and I can't swim either!
- Narrator 没过一会儿，许仙已经站在西湖的断桥上了。
Méi guò yíhuìr, Xǔ Xiān yǐjīng zhàn zài Xī Hú de Duàn Qiáo shàng le.
A moment later, Xu Xian was standing on the Broken Bridge at West Lake.
- Xu Xian 这是断桥！我真的回到杭州了！
Zhè shì Duàn Qiáo! Wǒ zhēn de huídào Hángzhōu le!
This is the Broken Bridge! I'm really back in Hangzhou!
- Xu Xian 娘子会来吗？她……还会要我这个丈夫吗？
Niángzǐ huì lái ma? Tā… hái huì yào wǒ zhège zhàngfu ma?
Will my wife come? Will she... still want me for a husband?
- Xu Xian 我等啊等，湖上还是一条船也没有……
Wǒ děng a děng, hú shàng háishi yì tiáo chuán yě méiyǒu…
I wait and wait, and there still isn't a single boat on the lake...
- Xu Xian 有船来了！船上……是两个女人？
Yǒu chuán lái le! Chuán shàng… shì liǎng gè nǚrén?
A boat is coming! On the boat... two women?
- Bai Suzhen 小青，到了。官人还在金山，不知道现在怎么样了……
Xiǎoqīng, dào le. Guānrén hái zài Jīnshān, bù zhīdào xiànzài zěnmeyàng le…
We're here, Xiaoqing. He's still at Jinshan... I wonder how he is now.
- Xiaoqing 小姐，别想他了。你慢点走，肚子里还有一个呢！
Xiǎojiě, bié xiǎng tā le. Nǐ màn diǎn zǒu, dùzi lǐ hái yǒu yí gè ne!
Miss, stop thinking about him. And walk slowly, you've got a little one in there!
- Xiaoqing 等等！小姐，桥上那个人……
Děngdeng! Xiǎojiě, qiáo shàng nàge rén…
Wait! Miss, that man on the bridge...
- Bai Suzhen 官人……是你吗？
Guānrén… shì nǐ ma?
Dear... is that you?
- Xiaoqing 许官人！你还来干什么？看剑！
Xǔ guānrén! Nǐ hái lái gàn shénme? Kàn jiàn!
