Dorothy stands up to the huge lion who leapt at Toto and finds out what kind of lion he really is. But a tiny accident on the road leaves a friend in trouble.

On the Yellow Brick Road deep in the forest, the huge lion was about to bite Toto.
- Dorothy 你敢咬托托？
Nǐ gǎn yǎo Tuōtuō?
Don't you dare bite Toto!
- Cowardly Lion 我的鼻子！你……你打我？
Wǒ de bízi! Nǐ… nǐ dǎ wǒ?
Ow, my nose! You... you hit me?

A great big lion like you, biting a little dog?
- Cowardly Lion 我……我没有咬托托。
Wǒ… wǒ méiyǒu yǎo Tuōtuō.
I... I didn't bite Toto.
- Dorothy 可是你想咬！你真胆小！
Kěshì nǐ xiǎng yǎo! Nǐ zhēn dǎnxiǎo!
But you tried to! You're nothing but a coward!
- Cowardly Lion 我知道……我什么都怕。我一直都知道。
Wǒ zhīdào… wǒ shénme dōu pà. Wǒ yìzhí dōu zhīdào.
I know... I'm afraid of everything. I've always known it.
- Dorothy 稻草人！铁皮人！你们没事吧？
Dàocǎorén! Tiěpírén! Nǐmen méi shì ba?
Scarecrow! Tin Woodman! Are you all right?
- Scarecrow 多萝西，我没事！我是稻草做的！
Duōluóxī, wǒ méi shì! Wǒ shì dàocǎo zuò de!
I'm fine, Dorothy! I'm made of straw!
- Tin Woodman 我也没事，你们看！
Wǒ yě méi shì, nǐmen kàn!
I'm fine too, look!
- Cowardly Lion 我打了你，可是疼的是我！
Wǒ dǎ le nǐ, kěshì téng de shì wǒ!
I hit you, but I'm the one who got hurt!
- Cowardly Lion 你们听见了吗？我一叫，别的动物就都跑了。
Nǐmen tīngjiàn le ma? Wǒ yí jiào, biéde dòngwù jiù dōu pǎo le.
Did you hear that? One roar from me, and all the other animals run away.
- Cowardly Lion 谁跟我打，我……我就跑！
Shéi gēn wǒ dǎ, wǒ… wǒ jiù pǎo!
If anyone ever fought back, I... I'd run away myself!
- Scarecrow 你不是森林里的大王吗？
Nǐ bú shì sēnlín lǐ de dàwáng ma?
But aren't you the king of the forest?
- Cowardly Lion 大家都这么说。可是有危险的时候，我的心就跳得很快。
Dàjiā dōu zhème shuō. Kěshì yǒu wēixiǎn de shíhou, wǒ de xīn jiù tiào de hěn kuài.
That's what everyone says. But whenever there's danger, my heart beats so fast.
- Tin Woodman 你的心会跳？那你有心！我没有心。
Nǐ de xīn huì tiào? Nà nǐ yǒu xīn! Wǒ méiyǒu xīn.
Your heart beats? Then at least you have a heart! I don't have one.
- Cowardly Lion 心有什么用？我没有勇气！
Xīn yǒu shénme yòng? Wǒ méiyǒu yǒngqì!
What good is a heart? I have no courage!
- Dorothy 我们要去翡翠城，找巫师奥兹。他也许能送我回家，也能帮你！
Wǒmen yào qù Fěicuìchéng, zhǎo wūshī Àozī. Tā yěxǔ néng sòng wǒ huí jiā, yě néng bāng nǐ!
We're going to the Emerald City to find Oz the Wizard. Maybe he can send me home, and help you too!
- Scarecrow 奥兹能给我脑子，就能给你勇气！
Àozī néng gěi wǒ nǎozi, jiù néng gěi nǐ yǒngqì!
If Oz can give me brains, he can give you courage!
- Cowardly Lion 真的吗？那……我能跟你们一起去吗？
Zhēn de ma? Nà… wǒ néng gēn nǐmen yìqǐ qù ma?
Really? Then... may I come with you?
- Dorothy 好！我们一起去！
Hǎo! Wǒmen yìqǐ qù!
Of course! We'll all go together!
- Cowardly Lion 托托，别咬我……我们做朋友，好吗？
Tuōtuō, bié yǎo wǒ… wǒmen zuò péngyou, hǎo ma?
Toto, please don't bite me... Can we be friends?
- Toto 汪汪！
Wāngwāng!
Woof!
- Narrator 那天下午，铁皮人走路没看地上。他的脚下，一只小虫子不动了。
Nà tiān xiàwǔ, Tiěpírén zǒulù méi kàn dìshang. Tā de jiǎo xià, yì zhī xiǎo chóngzi bú dòng le.
That afternoon, the Tin Woodman wasn't watching the ground. Under his foot, a little beetle lay still.
- Tin Woodman 小虫子，对不起！对不起……
Xiǎo chóngzi, duìbuqǐ! Duìbuqǐ…
Little beetle, I'm so sorry! So sorry...
- Narrator 铁皮人哭了，眼泪流到了他的嘴边。
Tiěpírén kū le, yǎnlèi liú dào le tā de zuǐbiān.
The Tin Woodman cried, and his tears ran down to the corners of his mouth.
- Dorothy 铁皮人，别哭了！你会生锈的！
Tiěpírén, bié kū le! Nǐ huì shēngxiù de!
Stop crying, Tin Woodman! You'll rust!
- Dorothy 太晚了……他的嘴不能动了！
Tài wǎn le… tā de zuǐ bù néng dòng le!
Too late... his mouth won't move!
