The Lion Wakes Up
狮子醒了
Thousands of tiny mice, one very heavy lion and a field of sleepy flowers. Then the road turns green, and strangers whisper about a wizard nobody has ever seen.

Lǎoshǔmen lā zhe xiàn, xiǎo chē jìn le hóng huā lǐ.
The mice pulled on their strings, and the little cart rolled into the red flowers.

The Lion's so heavy! Tin Woodman, lift with me! One, two, three... there!
- Queen of the Field Mice 老鼠们，拉！快拉！别在花里睡着！
Lǎoshǔmen, lā! Kuài lā! Bié zài huā lǐ shuìzháo!
Mice, pull! Pull hard! Don't you fall asleep in these flowers!
- Scarecrow 我是稻草，不会睡着！我来推！
Wǒ shì dàocǎo, bú huì shuìzháo! Wǒ lái tuī!
I'm straw, so I can't fall asleep! I'll push!
- Dorothy 出来了！狮子出来了！谢谢你们，老鼠们！
Chūlai le! Shīzi chūlai le! Xièxie nǐmen, lǎoshǔmen!
He's out! The Lion's out! Thank you, mice!
- Queen of the Field Mice 不用谢！再见，多萝西！
Bú yòng xiè! Zàijiàn, Duōluóxī!
Not at all! Goodbye, Dorothy!
- Dorothy 再见！……托托，别跑！她是女王！
Zàijiàn! … Tuōtuō, bié pǎo! Tā shì nǚwáng!
Goodbye! ...Toto, no running after her! She's a queen!
- Cowardly Lion 我还活着？我的头在，我的尾巴也在……是谁救了我？
Wǒ hái huózhe? Wǒ de tóu zài, wǒ de wěiba yě zài… Shì shéi jiù le wǒ?
I'm still alive? My head's here, my tail's here... Who saved me?
- Scarecrow 老鼠！几千只小老鼠！
Lǎoshǔ! Jǐ qiān zhī xiǎo lǎoshǔ!
Mice! Thousands of little mice!
- Cowardly Lion 小小的花差一点杀了我，小小的老鼠救了我。真没想到！
Xiǎoxiǎo de huā chà yìdiǎn shā le wǒ, xiǎoxiǎo de lǎoshǔ jiù le wǒ. Zhēn méi xiǎngdào!
Little flowers almost killed me, and little mice saved me. Who would have thought it!
- Narrator 下午，他们回到了黄砖路。路很好走，房子都是绿的。
Xiàwǔ, tāmen huídào le Huángzhuān Lù. Lù hěn hǎo zǒu, fángzi dōu shì lǜ de.
That afternoon they were back on the Yellow Brick Road. It was easy walking now, and all the houses were green.
- Dorothy 你们看，这儿的人也都穿绿衣服！
Nǐmen kàn, zhèr de rén yě dōu chuān lǜ yīfu!
Look, the people here all wear green too!
- Scarecrow 他们怎么不跟我们说话？
Tāmen zěnme bù gēn wǒmen shuōhuà?
So why won't they talk to us?
- Tin Woodman 他们怕狮子。
Tāmen pà Shīzi.
They're afraid of the Lion.
- Cowardly Lion 怕我？我什么都怕，他们还怕我？
Pà wǒ? Wǒ shénme dōu pà, tāmen hái pà wǒ?
Afraid of me? I'm afraid of everything, and they're afraid of me?
- Narrator 那天晚上，他们住在一个绿房子里。
Nà tiān wǎnshang, tāmen zhù zài yí gè lǜ fángzi lǐ.
That night they stayed at a green farmhouse.
- Scarecrow 你们听到了吗？这家的男人说，谁也没见过奥兹！
Nǐmen tīngdào le ma? Zhè jiā de nánrén shuō, shéi yě méi jiàn guo Àozī!
Did you hear? The man of the house says nobody has ever seen Oz!
- Tin Woodman 他还说，奥兹是大巫师，想变成什么，就能变成什么。
Tā hái shuō, Àozī shì dà wūshī, xiǎng biànchéng shénme, jiù néng biànchéng shénme.
He also said Oz is a great wizard who can turn into anything he likes.
- Cowardly Lion 如果他变成大老虎……我就跑！
Rúguǒ tā biànchéng dà lǎohǔ… wǒ jiù pǎo!
If he turns into a great big tiger... I'm running!
- Dorothy 我们一定要见奥兹。我要回家！
Wǒmen yídìng yào jiàn Àozī. Wǒ yào huí jiā!
We must see Oz. I want to go home!
- Scarecrow 天亮了！多萝西，快来看天上！那是什么光？
Tiānliàng le! Duōluóxī, kuài lái kàn tiānshàng! Nà shì shénme guāng?
It's dawn! Dorothy, come and look at the sky! What's that light?
- Tin Woodman 是绿色的光……
Shì lǜsè de guāng…
It's a green glow...
- Dorothy 天上都是绿的！那一定是翡翠城！
Tiānshàng dōu shì lǜ de! Nà yídìng shì Fěicuìchéng!
The whole sky is green! That must be the Emerald City!
