Zhuge Liang shows Liu Bei a map and a plan that could save the land: three kingdoms, like the three legs of a pot. Will the Sleeping Dragon finally wake up and go with him?

Wǒ xiǎng ràng tiānxià de bǎixìng dōu yǒu fàn chī, yǒu jiā zhù.
I want everyone under heaven to have food to eat and a home to live in.
- Zhuge Liang 这是一句好话。将军有多少兵？
Zhè shì yí jù hǎo huà. Jiāngjūn yǒu duō shǎo bīng?
Those are good words. General, how many soldiers do you have?
- Liu Bei 很少。我也没有大城。
Hěn shǎo. Wǒ yě méiyǒu dà chéng.
Very few. And I have no big city.

Why does Big Brother tell him everything!
- Zhuge Liang 别怕。请看墙上这张地图。北边是曹操，他有一百万兵。
Bié pà. Qǐng kàn qiáng shàng zhè zhāng dìtú. Běibiān shì Cáocāo, tā yǒu yìbǎi wàn bīng.
Don't worry. Please look at this map. In the north is Cao Cao, and he has a million soldiers.
- Zhuge Liang 你们看地图上这里。现在不能打他。
Nǐmen kàn dìtú shàng zhè lǐ. Xiànzài bù néng dǎ tā.
You cannot fight him now.
- Guan Yu 不打曹操？我的刀想打他！
Bù dǎ Cáocāo? Wǒ de dāo xiǎng dǎ tā!
Not fight Cao Cao? My blade wants to fight him!
- Zhuge Liang 你的刀要等一等。东边是孙权，他有大江，有好兵。他是朋友，不是敌人。
Nǐ de dāo yào děng yì děng. Dōngbiān shì Sūn Quán, tā yǒu dà jiāng, yǒu hǎo bīng. Tā shì péngyǒu, búshì dírén.
Your blade must wait a little. In the east is Sun Quan. He has the great river and good troops. He is a friend, not an enemy.
- Zhang Fei 那我们呢？我们站在哪儿？
Nà wǒmen ne? Wǒmen zhàn zài nǎr?
And what about us? Where do we stand?
- Zhuge Liang 西边。你们看地图，那里有大山，有好地，人们有饭吃。
Xībiān. Nǐmen kàn dìtú, nàlǐ yǒu dà shān, yǒu hǎo dì, rénmen yǒu fàn chī.
In the west. There are big mountains and good land, and people have food.
- Liu Bei 这样就有三个……
Zhèyàng jiù yǒu sān gè …
Then there will be three...
- Zhuge Liang 三个国。像一个大锅有三只脚。
Sān gè guó. Xiàng yí gè dà guō yǒu sān zhǐ jiǎo.
Three kingdoms. Like a big pot that has three legs.
- Zhang Fei 三只脚的大锅？我喜欢锅！锅里有肉！
Sān zhǐ jiǎo de dà guō? Wǒ xǐhuān guō! Guō lǐ yǒu ròu!
A big pot with three legs? I love pots! There's meat in pots!
- Zhuge Liang 三只脚，锅才站得住。天下有三个国，就不会倒。
Sān zhǐ jiǎo, guō cái zhàn dé zhù. Tiānxià yǒu sān gè guó, jiù bú huì dào.
With three legs, the pot stands. If the world has three kingdoms, it won't fall over.
- Liu Bei 先生的话真好！可是我一个人做不到。
Xiānshēng de huà zhēn hǎo! Kěshì wǒ yí gè rén zuò bú dào.
Master, your words are wonderful! But I cannot do it alone.
- Liu Bei 先生，请你跟我走，帮帮我！
Xiānshēng, qǐng nǐ gēn wǒ zǒu, bāng bāng wǒ!
Master, please come with me and help me!
- Zhuge Liang 我在山里很好。有书，有花，还可以天天睡觉。
Wǒ zài shānlǐ hěn hǎo. Yǒu shū, yǒu huā, hái kěyǐ tiāntiān shuìjiào.
I'm very happy in the hills. I have books and flowers, and I can sleep every day.
- Liu Bei 你不出来，天下的人怎么办？
Nǐ bù chūlái, tiānxià de rén zěnme bàn?
If you don't come out, what will happen to the people?
- Zhuge Liang 将军哭了。……你三次站在我家门外，我还能说“不”吗？
Jiāngjūn kū le. …Nǐ sān cì zhàn zài wǒ jiā ménwài, wǒ hái néng shuō “bù” ma?
The general is crying. ...You came to my door three times. Can I still say no?
- Zhuge Liang 好。我跟你去。
Hǎo. Wǒ gēn nǐ qù.
All right. I will go with you.
- Zhang Fei 太好了！我不用绳子了！
Tàihǎo le! Wǒ bú yòng shéngzi le!
Wonderful! I don't need the rope anymore!
- Zhuge Jun 哥哥，你真的要走吗？
Gēgē, nǐ zhēn de yào zǒu ma?
Brother, are you really leaving?
- Zhuge Liang 是的，诸葛均。家里的花请你看好。
Shì de, Zhūgě Jūn. Jiālǐ de huā qǐng nǐ kànhǎo.
Yes, Zhuge Jun. Please look after the flowers at home.
- Zhuge Jun 哥哥放心。花我来看，书我来读。
Gēgē fàngxīn. Huā wǒ lái kàn, shū wǒ lái dú.
Don't worry, Brother. I'll watch the flowers and read the books.
- Liu Bei 先生，从今天起，你是我的老师，也是我的军师。
Xiānshēng, cóng jīntiān qǐ, nǐ shì wǒ de lǎoshī, yě shì wǒ de jūnshī.
Master, from today you are my teacher and my strategist.
- Liu Bei 我有了先生，就像鱼有了水！
Wǒ yǒu le xiānshēng, jiù xiàng yú yǒu le shuǐ!
With you, Master, I am like a fish that has found water!
- Guan Yu 大哥有了军师，好高兴。那我们呢？我们是石头吗？
Dàgē yǒu le jūnshī, hǎo gāoxìng. Nà wǒmen ne? Wǒmen shì shítou ma?
Big Brother is so happy. And what about us? Are we stones?
- Zhang Fei 二哥，我们是……是鱼的好朋友。
Èr gē, wǒmen shì … Shì yú de hǎo péngyǒu.
Second Brother, we are... we are the fish's good friends.
- Zhuge Liang 别高兴太早。我这个军师的第一件事：曹操的大兵快来了。
Bié gāoxìng tài zǎo. Wǒ zhè ge jūnshī de dìyī jiàn shì: Cáocāo de dà bīng kuài lái le.
Don't be happy too early. Cao Cao's great army is coming soon.
- Liu Bei 那谁能帮我们？
Nà shuí néng bāng wǒmen?
Then who can help us?
- Zhuge Liang 江东的孙权。他那里有一个人叫周瑜。他不太喜欢我。
Jiāngdōng de Sūn Quán. Tā nàlǐ yǒu yí gè rén jiào Zhōu Yú. Tā bú tài xǐhuān wǒ.
Sun Quan of Jiangdong. There is a man there called Zhou Yu. He doesn't like me very much.
